yeah and mike haggar woudn't just d what mad gear gang wants no he would litteraly get oit of his office get a lead pipe and bust some mad gear gang with some help from his friends
The closest movie that ever reminded me of final fight was death sentence with Kevin bacon. The gang that was on there reminded me of what a city with mad gear populating it would be like. Kevin bacon was like a side story of someone living in that type of city.
Yeah I love that movie the best part is like if that movie and this one were connected it would show a more realistic and violent side of metro city but sadly is not
Props to everyone involved with this, you got The story And characters 100% correct, Codys look fighting Style And dialogue ( i got bored ) were spot on, his struggle against his obsession for fighting was portrayed extemely well. Aswell as Guy being voice of reason, their last scene together was excellent, amazing old skool sounding music really helped The scenes aswell, fight And dialogue scenes. The Cody actor especially nailed it, The look, his voice, The emotions, couldnt picture a better Cody. Don Frye is a no brainer as haggar, his dialogue was excellent aswell, The little bit of action from him was all that we needed to showcase his brute Wrestling power. Props to The villains aswell, The final boss was charismatic And had a cool look to him. The mohawk leader was convincing And i like how you humanized him at The end, And The fights? amazing, so Many brutal moments you would expect from a final fight film, Guy with his martial arts Style, Cody with his ruthless violen street fight Style, The headbutt breaking that thugs fingers? Out of The box thinking, it was perfect, beautiful to Watch. 10/10, perfect final fight film, hope more is coming Cause this deserved a follow up. Well done everyone, Oh And The food on The streets reference at The start? Really clever
The food on the street nod to health pick ups had me LOL...i 2nd everything you said. Only line of dialog that linda caight me off gaurd is when Cody stated that he was tired of walking around afraid.
At least Haggar with that one pile driver on an assassin is a miles high accomplishment compared to that one episode in the Street Fighter cartoon where that version of Haggar didn’t even kick ass at all, & acted like a complete wimp throughout the whole ordeal.
Don Frye as Mike Haggar... for years, I've always said that he would be the perfect person to play that character and now my wish has come true. Oh and then, on top of that, the movie kicked ass too. Great job!
I am touched that the real Don Frye actually agreed to do this. I mean, this is ideal casting, but the man is a respected real fighter. We could not expect him to act as a video game character for us, however, let's be real, is there anyone more suited to be Mike Haggar than he? Well, no. The fact that he did this for us shows true humility and also dignity. Thank you Don Frye, you are amazing sir.
xXEdgy_OutsiderXx Without looking up any wiki info or anything, I've often wondered why they called it Final Fight. It may not be an official reason, but your comment was the perfect answer to my question.
I'd kill to see a feature length version of this and the two sequels from the original "Final Fight" arcade game franchise, with the role of Mike Haggar played by Don Frye. I'm not sure if it's his presence, his voice, his mustache (which is epic, B.T.W.), or all three combined, but he has the part nailed in every which way.
Too bad you couldn't kickstart a feature length version of this. Having all 3 guys destroy Mad Gear in an actual movie would be amazing, and give a real 90's vibe. And Don Frye is perfect as Haggar, the only other guy close to him would have been Dan Severn.
as a japanese male in the mid 30s..who grew up playing final fight,, THIS IS EPIC!!! loved the concept, music, writing and music!! and yall nailed it with the casting!!! Don the legend!! much love and appreciation! ありがとう! want a Netflix series for sure!
For such a short film I truly felt tbis embraced what the Final Fight series is about. The location, the characterization, the music, dialogue, everything about this was spot on. You all did an excellent job handling and respecti ng the source material. As a fan of the series I enjoyed every second and I hope this leads to future projects whatever they may be. Congratulations to all of you for an excellent portrayal. I enjoyed this very much.
As a guy who remembers playing Final Fight in the arcades when I was 6 years old (along with vanilla Street Fighter 2 and Street Fighter 1) I gotta say, that was REALLY good. Final Fight has always had a special place for me. I'm looking forward to a sequel.
God bless every person involved in this for how serious they take this story. This short could be the best video-game based movie ever. And FUCK YEAH, 26:05 SO EPIC.
And you can see for a second at 26:09, when Haggar has the guy fully up in the air, you can almost make out the guy's face in an almost perfect instance worthy of a "It was that moment he knew. He fucked up." meme.
The scene where Mike powerbombs the would-be assassin and then readjusting his tie is pure kino. I hope you guys are making more fan films this is one of the best I have seen on UA-cam, captures the essence of the game so well
7:59 10/10 reference. (In case you are wondering, "Muscle Bomber" is the original Japanese name of the arcade game, Saturday Night Slam Masters, a game starring Mike Haggar)
as a huge final fight fan, this brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for staying true to the characters and showing how, with passion and commitment, a final fight film could look like under the guidance of people that respect the franchise. Thank you
Loved the thug talking about eating a plated steak he found in the street. So true to the game, along with bone-in roasts in ten gallon drums, roast chicken in phone booths, etc.
I have been a fan of final fight for years and this is true to the game, the characters and the dialogue and fight choreography is simply amazing. Not Only I leave a like but a sub and my deepest respects for all the hard work this was put here.
This was spot in ever way possible casting music spot on over all tone of the how metro city should look the sets costumes everything is fantastic and it’s true to the game 10/10 don’t sleep on this one people
Very well done👏👏👏 Captured the feel and theme perfectly. Bring back the beat'em ups in our movies and games! Bring back messages about being courageous, saying no to drugs, justice, and heroism!
Damn! First Mega Man then Street Fighter’s Assassin Fist and now this? Seriously Capcom should just let fans do adaption to their properties than Hollywood. EDIT: Holy Shit! Not only is Don Fyre a spitting image of Haggar, but his acting actually matches how I envisioned a IRL Haggar. Yeah this is officially the best video game movie.
The cast here is unbelievably good, what am i saying? Not only the cast, the mood, the fighting choreography, music, dialogues... every second of this oozes quality. As a fan of the final fight series i'm deeply grateful for what you did here.
What i would like to see is a mini series in the same vein as Cobra Kai detailing the destruction of mad gear by Cody Hagar and guy with each episode detaling on of the final fight levels. Episode one (Jessica gets kidnapped + level one and the boss fight with Damnd) Episode 2 ( Level two Hagar fight Hugo Andore Guy takes down Sodom) Episode 3 ( Level three cody vs Andore family Hagar beats EdiE) Episode 4 (Level four Cody +Guy vs Rolento) episode 5 (level five Guy engages in a long grueling fight with Abigail Haggar and Cody move on) Episode 6 Final Episode ( confrontation with Belger Cody end Belger kicking him out of the building canonical final fight ending) 30 minutes per episode.
I wanted to see more. But I love the film I have played final fight final flight 2 and final fight 3 and this movie really looks like it could have been produced by Hollywood.
Also, making an even greater nod to Bonus Stages: turns out Bred's car is the one they used to kidnap Jessica. Mostly Cody or Haggar would be enraged. Leaving Bred crying but for help.
@@gonzalotorres5282 Also some world building little comments. Like some cops chatting about that dangerous new shadoloo organization becoming a problem. A poster of hw world champion Balrog in the background. Guy mentioning that some guy named Ryu won the first street fighter tournament.
Back in the 90s Don Frye and to a lesser extent Dan Severn were as close to real life Mike Haggar as possible. For those who followed their careers as no holds barred (early mma) fighters turned Pro Wrestlers, this is a blessing to watch.
Even though this isn’t official since it’s a fan film, I love that this was a prequel to the events of Final Fight, and it kinda bums me out that we never got to see a live-action adaptation of the game itself, leading up to the final battle against the boss Belger. But still, I love this fan film, and I want to applaud everyone involved in the process. Congrats to you all, and I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors! If I could make a suggestion, maybe next time, do a little post-credits scene with the newly-elected Haggar in his office, receiving the fateful phone call like in the FF intro, and the final shot being a close-up of his intense eyes as he realizes that now, IT’S WAR.
I liked Ryu a lot, but Guy is my favorite character from Capcom action/fighting games! He even affected my own martial art skill sets a bit. Had a blast with this, the dialogues, the atmosphere, the acting and of course the action, are all great! Music is so cool with that 80's vibe too. Would love to see this as a miniseries!
Holy shit, this is WAY BETTER than any videogame adaptations (Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter (eeewww), Tekken (eeeewwwww)... It has captured the perfect aura of the game, WE REALLY NEED IT AS A FULL MOVIE!!!!
OMG! Cody and Guy perfect! Then, we get a glimpse of Rolento, Damnd, and Poison (just really missing Andore and surely Belger comes later). Don Frye as Mike Haggar!? The absolute best part is Don and that powerbomb mustache! Please guys keep the episodes coming! We need Haggar, Cody, and Guy, to fight the Andore family on the West Side in that Steel Cage and then put down that corrupt cop Edi E.
I Love this so much, the actor playing Cody got the character down to a T, the stance, the voice, the looks, is just perfect. Absolutely wonderful! Makes me, a huge Final Fight fan, so happy. I hope you do more short films like this.
The level of love and respect shown to the source material, is on the same level of Assassin's Fist. If given the chance I would support your efforts to make a feature film/series. Very, very well done.
This is beautifully incredible! In real life with the current rising crime in cities and states? leaders like Mike Haggar are desperately needed in office!
This has to keep going! I'm just amazed you happen to get the perfect portrayals of every main character. The new thugs were awesome and with good way to humanize them. You did a good job in wanting more from this. I'm a big Final Fight fan and this deserves to end until Belger takes a dive from a skyscraper. Keep it up, guys!
I finally got around to watching this and it was sick!!! Better than any video game movie adaption, that's for sure! Miss you basement crew!! Keep kicking ass!!
@thegamebasementcrew I can't tell that this is a fan film, you guys are professionals. This was spot on in almost every way, even though it is a prequel I can totally see your new characters exist within the FF/SF universe and it included some nice foreshadowing for Cody's temporary fate in SF. (Thank you SFV!) The only criticism I can offer is that near the end IMO Cody's character seems a little off from the canon as before being framed and thrown in prison he was very justice oriented. Cody near the end seems more like SFA3/SFIV Cody. (Though Cody still does has his strong desire for justice in the SF series, he denies having it) Overall though this a good movie and I'll be recommending it to other people. If you guys ever do a full adaption of FF, I'll be looking forward to it!
I actually disagree as a Final Fight Prequel. It hints at what he becomes. We don't know what he was like during Final Fight as there was no dialogue while he was fighting. The Mega CD version had him basically not settling down and saying he wanted to stay with Jessica but he couldn't while evil stalked the streets. I felt like they did a good job of blurring the lines between Justice and rage. (Thank you SFV!)
Very impressive. This short film proves that you can be loyal to the game and still make it cool and fun without losing everything that makes the game great. Excellent casting choices for the characters as well. I think with the direction your group was taking this short film it could easily be a full feature some day. Great job to all involved with making this short film. Well done.
WHY AM I JUST NOW SEEING THIS?!! I have to show my respect to this as I have been a fan of the games since I was 4yrs old thanks to my uncle. Simply Amazing!! Seriously thank you for making this for all of us fans! 👏👏 💯
That was fantastic. Cody is by far my favorite character in everything he appears in and you can really feel his personality like he appears in SF games
Please please PLEASE make more of this! I've loved Final Fight since it hit the arcades when I was in high school, and this was like a dream come true. I would definitely contribute to a Kickstarter for more, just like I fed quarters into that machine!
Capcom needs see this live action! THIS IS Final Fight! Congrats to all crew for the hard work and thanks to create and share this masterpiece with the fans!
This is SO GOOD! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! True, I needed a catharsis today, but this was far more precious than I needed. You guys keep going, you are all great!
Great job! Amazing. Better than made in hollywood. The characters are similar to game, the history, the action. Fans made works really impressive. Congratulations.
Gotta say: Amazing work, true to the Final Fight series, this is way better than most of the fan-made game adaptations out there, and there are actually some good ones out there, but this one is still one of the best, if not the best. Everything was spot on, and left me wanting more. Congratz! Subbed, and hoping for more!
This was FREAKING AWESOME!!! This vid had more passion and effort than what Hollywood could ever produce. Love Cody's and Guy's argument towards the end, it foreshadows his inevitable downfall becoming a prisoner only to succeed in the end as Mike Hagger's successor as the next Mayor!! Wish this was an actual series.
This is the best video-game adaptation I have ever seen. Props to you guys for achieving this on a non-Hollywood budget. It seems so much love, talent and intelligence was put into this. Amazing!
They should REALLY continue to make more. I too am hoping that they would cause this is a beautifully well made movie , it's a really close adaptation from my favorite arcade smash.
You did an amazing job on this and that part when the thug asked Cody why is he doing this, telling him he's bored really got me lol! Can't wait for more of this dood. Good work
OMG, this was so awesome, the build up and character portray are convincing, though was a little taken back audio of Cody speaking at Mad Gear hideout. Overally this was well done. Hope you guys do more, the actors are spot on. Maybe one day you'll work or get actors from Street Fighters Assassin's Fist as cameos? I mean Chun-Li was background cameo in Final Fight games.
25:49: What I would do to have a Mayor take a perp down that way! My jaw dropped...the music and Don Frye, awesome....just awesome. "That thing still on?" Oh yeah, it's on!
Final fight is my favourite game .. i play every day in ps2 patch , cody is a boy poor since child but he never become a thief.. he never corrupted his life and he is a great fighter of justice on The streets of metro city.
Wonderfull job guys! It is by far the best live action I've seen in a lot of time, I watched it a lot of times already and took the liberty of adding the spanish subs. I'd be glad to keep on collaborating if more chapters come.
It's seeing stuff like this that makes me wish I was a producer with millions. You nailed it. I also like this even more, because it feels like John Carpenter's Final Fight. The acting, the choreography, the soundtrack, the sets, clothes, makeup, and photography all say that there's some real talent here. Not to mention the writing and adaptation. I look forward to seeing more of your stuff. Small Coincidence: You see my name. My girlfriend's name is Jessica.
Hands down one of the best, if not.. the ONLY best Final Fight adaptation which I have ever seen! Don Frye as Mike Haggar? PERFECT! And with 80s synthwave as the soundtrack? Oh man... It did my heart of it good! I have to know the tracks and the artists for the soundtrack! This.. is awesome.. It's Gold! THIS IS GOLD WITH DIAMONDS IN IT!!
Why has this game never been film adapted? Unlike most games with convoluted or multi ending stories this game is straight forward, has solid characters and potentially alot of action.
There was only one episode of that american SF series called appropriately Final Fight and it was of course, crap. As for a film adaptation one could go the reverse way to where it all began, the film Streets of Fire, that was a big inspiration for basically every side scrolling beat em up, Final Fight, Streets of Rage etc.
BRO!!! The look, the names, the choreography, the freaking dialogue about the steak plate on a plate in the street LOL.....ALL OF THIS is true to fans.. I NEED MOOOOOOOORE!!!!! You got my sub and share to all my people ^__^
Don Frye as Hagar is the greatest casting choice ever!
Hugh Jackman is almost a foot taller than The Wolverine character but he still owned that shit
Genexolev Ashtiani Frye is as buff as Haggar though. Just put some wrestling boots on him & he'll look 5 inches taller. The Cody & Guy actors are both one inch taller than their canonical heights. (6'2 & 5'11. Cody is 6'1, Guy is 5'10.)
Ironically and supposedly, Haggar was based on Don.
Don Frye is a perfect casting
@Terry you are totally right, that would make even more sense. Nice theory.
This is much better than the time Final Fight characters were on the old Street Fighter cartoon.
Lo Wang in the house!
yeah and mike haggar woudn't just d what mad gear gang wants no he would litteraly get oit of his office get a lead pipe and bust some mad gear gang with some help from his friends
@whang! make em' make a whole movie...
you should be the BOSS THO!! like a MadGear Boss...you kinda got the look for it.
Right? Haggar did nothing and was completely powerless while Guy and Cody were basically George and Lenny from "Of Mice and Men" respectively.
Could legit see this as a Netflix series. Glad there’s people out there that love and care about this franchise like I do.
Also Cody’s attitude was spot on
The closest movie that ever reminded me of final fight was death sentence with Kevin bacon. The gang that was on there reminded me of what a city with mad gear populating it would be like. Kevin bacon was like a side story of someone living in that type of city.
Yeah I love that movie the best part is like if that movie and this one were connected it would show a more realistic and violent side of metro city but sadly is not
Don Frye doesn't play Haggar. He is Haggar !

He does feel like he's super fit for the role.

@@Flokoli1 Well I dunno. Haggar cleaned up the place once but after he quit everything seems to have gone to shit again.

Vincent Gaspar Hulk Hogan?
Stephen Andrano Hulk Hogan really isn't muscular anymore and wouldn't be that good. I'd take Dolph Lundgren over Hulk
"Couldn't?" Dude, this is their key to kickstarter city!

The level of love and respect shown to the source material, is on the same level of Assassin's Fist. If given the chance I would support your efforts to make a feature film/series. Very, very well done.
This was so much better than it had any right to be given the serious lack of official background character/story detail for this game.
This was amazing.
Emezie!!!!!!!!
Machinima Street Fighter but this is a good story
YOU SAID IT! STILL WATCHING YOUR ANIMATION SINCE THE BEGINNING, 😋. STILL ain't answer my question about, Cameo, 🤗, lol.
Jesus Christ, I never would have believed that any actor could actually pull off a convincing Mike Haggar. Wow.... Just wow.
Such beauty from the dialogue to the fight scenes....amazing work man AND THAT MUSIC OOOOHHHHH SNAP!!!!
This is legit what a gritty modern (but set in the 80s) FF movie should be.
The Mayor is played by MMA legend Don Frye.
This is beautifully incredible! In real life with the current rising crime in cities and states? leaders like Mike Haggar are desperately needed in office!
very good~ the show runners of Iron Fist should watch this and learn how to choreograph kung fu fight scenes!
Don Frye is soooo perfect! Actually everyone was perfect!!! The older woman who got mugged legit made me cry. Good job, everyone!
I finally got around to watching this and it was sick!!! Better than any video game movie adaption, that's for sure! Miss you basement crew!! Keep kicking ass!!
Yo!!! Dino Charge Blue Ranger as Guy? Excellent pick.
Raiden3651 Yoshi got the skills that pay the bills.
This was a better film than any big budget theatrical release I've seen in the last ten years. Seriously.
Thoroughly enjoyed this. The writing and dialogue was very strong!
Great work! ~
I love the way they are talking about finding food on the streets
@thegamebasementcrew
I can't tell that this is a fan film, you guys are professionals.
Man... FINAL FIGHT IS MY LIFE!!! 😢😢😢❤❤❤❤
Tremor Black Dragon do you play on Fightcade?
Shawn Edwards Nope. :/
Tremor Black Dragon there are some elite players on there. It’s worth checking out if you love ff
me too
Please please PLEASE make more of this! I've loved Final Fight since it hit the arcades when I was in high school, and this was like a dream come true. I would definitely contribute to a Kickstarter for more, just like I fed quarters into that machine!
THIS WAS SO GOOD!!!! The fight scenes were awesome. Yoshi was so good at being Guy!
Capcom needs see this live action! THIS IS Final Fight! Congrats to all crew for the hard work and thanks to create and share this masterpiece with the fans!
I found a plate of food on the ground once, then Roxy and poison took it from me.
I got the chills when Cody dropped that dude with that jab. Bro next level shot!
I could've sworn I was watching a Netflix show this whole time. Quality is hella OD.
This is the best video-game adaptation I have ever seen. Props to you guys for achieving this on a non-Hollywood budget. It seems so much love, talent and intelligence was put into this. Amazing!
PLEASE tell me there is more coming!!!
coyote311 "coming.." lol
coyote311 i hope
They should REALLY continue to make more. I too am hoping that they would cause this is a beautifully well made movie , it's a really close adaptation from my favorite arcade smash.
This is a really good beginning for the Ginal Fight Saga.
The musics fuckn mind blowing! Especially when Cody gives that speech.
Watched this again a year later and it's a damn shame more ppl havent watched this.
You did an amazing job on this and that part when the thug asked Cody why is he doing this, telling him he's bored really got me lol! Can't wait for more of this dood. Good work
I come back to watch this at least once a year. It’s that good. 💪🏻
You guys earned a subscription, looking at your channel, I'm suprised I never knew about it, you're a cool channel
Thanks to all people that worked in this nostalgic masterpiece!!!
Huge fan of the game, this film is 🔥🔥🔥
Final fight is my favourite game .. i play every day in ps2 patch , cody is a boy poor since child but he never become a thief.. he never corrupted his life and he is a great fighter of justice on The streets of metro city.
Wonderfull job guys! It is by far the best live action I've seen in a lot of time, I watched it a lot of times already and took the liberty of adding the spanish subs. I'd be glad to keep on collaborating if more chapters come.
laik
Don't watch much live action do you.
Omg my favorite game, now this film was awesome, actors were perfect nailed it, I didn't want this movie to end.
SUBSCRIBED!
(As an Aussie kid who pumped endless 20c coins into the Final Fight arcade machine, this was GLORIOUS!)
Characters have nice showings. I liked it.
Awesome movie!
Please make a Street Fighter movie with M.Bison being the main villain!
Say hello to JCVD movie!
@@Romchikthelemon no thanks
BRO!!! The look, the names, the choreography, the freaking dialogue about the steak plate on a plate in the street LOL.....ALL OF THIS is true to fans.. I NEED MOOOOOOOORE!!!!! You got my sub and share to all my people ^__^
So y'all just gonna ignore that perfectly good lampshading at 6:24?
MISCDesigns ho..lee...shit. I just realized what they were talking about, The power up!
