Slide game on point my friend. Cheers for the shout out brother
Hello from North East England. I’ve only come across your channel today (my 58th birthday in case you want to send a card next year 😉). I just want to say, I think your channel is one of the best I’ve ever come across and I hope you get millions of subscribers and become a wealthy man. Don’t stop making the videos. Best of luck mate. 👍
Thank you man you've re ignited my passion for wood work as a child i spent many days at my pops shed making all sorts of things furniture wooden swords shields etc. I am now on my way to having that life again tool by tool piece by piece you have my respect my admiration and certainly and most importantly my like and subscribe to show my support for all you've done thanks again.
P.s are you an aussie my partner and i were wondering 😅
@@dainermade awesome same here m8 hailing from Casino beef capital
Mate....loved your little veneer jig and the cinemagraphic treats were just that....treats for the senses 👍😁....Ohh yeah...love the "Z" Have a good one old son 👍😁🇦🇺
Make no mistake people, this is a whole heap of work! You must have passion like Mark and the will to finish what you start- see it through to the end! Love seeing the finish make all the goodness pop!
Brilliant!! I love how you keep teaching us new tricks.
Good day. My name is woodworking and epoxy and I still enjoy watching you work with pallets
@@dainermade absolutely!
What a beautiful result I can't wait to see the next steps and final piece
@@dainermade I need to start raiding my bunnings. I've only managed to find pine and garbage ply pallets in my area
I just cleaned up a bunch of salvage wood in my uncle’s wood shop and indured his heckling pretty much the whole day but I love salvage wood so much it feels so rewarding to see a finished product and knowing you basically paid nothing for the material
Really love your work mate. I’ve just started bringing home pallet wood from work. Will be getting my first table saw in a few weeks.
Very excited to give it a go!
@@dainermade yeah I am the kind of person who needs to be very careful with power tools in general haha I’ll be sure to take it slooow
This is epic, next level, good one! 👊Been slowly watching your back catalog of vids and they keep getting better and better - all of them inspiring + we got a sneak peek of the shop manager at 8:48 😂🐕
Hi Mark, newby to your show and I am very impressed with your wood working skills, love your Aussie humor that you bring out and how you can deliberate our craft in our Aussie lingo, keep going craft is special both for the inword soul and our mind and well being,
Cheers mate from an old builder woodworker.
Hi Mark, You sure do put the work in. Its' a work of art, beautiful.
That moment at 14:14 is the rush we live for, lol.
"IT WORKED!"
Hi Mark,
nice tips. I'm thinking of making a new desk out of pallets. You like Z feet. Showy and aesthetic. you are doing well. Subtitles are really helpful. Thank you. Nice video. All the best. Ll see. mate.
@@dainermade Subtitles are 90% logical and understandable. Your son will adore this table. Cheers mate.
Great veneering idea...i'm in sandgroping territory. The vaccinator bags look impressive...
Best pattern I enjoyed it thank you for this video
And then comes the BLING when applying the finish. Great vid Mark, Can't wait to see finished legs
Love this! Can’t wait for part 2 👍
I love your pallet videos nice work!!
I really like the letter 'N' you made :X
Fantastic work!
Dang!! Absolutely impressive craftsmanship Mark!! Can't wait to see the next part of this build!!
Very impressive, Mark. Thanks for sharing.
Very cool mate! When they are counting your slides and your Check Squares your on point mateee !! Look forward to the next one!!
That's gorgeous lumber work!
Those tiles in that pattern would make a nice table and a sexy headboard for the bedroom. Just sayin'! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
11:07 Dovetail router bit?
Bullnose edges can also help - makes it look thicker than it is, whilst keeping it lighter and using less material. Like what they do on stone counter tops.
Great video again - keep up the good work mate.
Love the slide! That wrist action on glue ups is impressive too! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🤣😂🤣
ive spent ages using old credit cards and loyalty cards to spread glue. a silicon spatula is actually genius, cant believe ive never seen this before
That looks really nice, the little pallet bricks in the herring bone pattern is a great idea, might just have to pinch that one! Top work as usual, cheers. 👍🏻
They just keep coming mate! Well done on another ripper. Maths...I almost break out at the mere mention of it. Thank goodness for calculators I say. Although, they were never available when I was trying to work out the timings down to the minutes, for double staggered gun piquets.......good times. Anyway back on topic, your Pallet Punter series is excellent and I hope it gets some serious views numbers. Keep up the good work. All the best, Brian.
Good pumping action, I bet thought back memories of being teenager.
Awesome work mate
Great work.
You give a whole new meaning to "stickem' up"! 👍🏻🇺🇸
Bricks to Tiles - Genius! Those clamps added to the tracksaw jig is even better though, what a top way to remake a more expensive tool cheaply. (Oh, and that's a dovetail bit mate, which is why you blanked on it :P)
hey mark, took your advice and found some local shops that have an excess of pallets, pretty sure some of them were even willing to pay me lol
Love watching your channel. I got me one of those nail removal guns and a pallet buster and a metal detector. Im love it, 🤓and that router bit is a dovetail bit, but you knew that.🤔
Awesome work, have a great day from Louisiana. USA
I watched the Router-to- Job-Site-tablesaw. I only now got the whole picture when you were sat upon your stool, safely working with small pieces in a shop where working space at a premium.
I have to say, you're doing an excellent job with your videos. You're more relaxed than you were starting out. I know, most people UA-camrs are.
I'm sure I'm not alone in saying how much I appreciate it when make a mistake, you don't edit the stuff out, you own up to it, and just as important, deal with it, and show people how to deal with their mistakes, because everyone makes mistakes. I've made mistakes that turned out to be a gift from God.
Hey Mark, just found your channel, love seeing a fellow qlder on UA-cam . Awesome content, could see myself doing this one day. Thanks
Brilliant content I do also use old pallets I make garden planters and furniture yes very cost effective I take broken ones pallet pirate's don't take they pay together for some of the wood is brilliantly coloured even use cut logs a c live edge really enjoyed your video give me others says to use them
Hell yeah good idea for making business labels
Mark that is absolutely awesome, it’s a very high level job. Yes I keep learning and building confidence to build something as good as your level.
Can you please send a link regarding your glue, do you buy this in bulk if so where ..Above all you keep as all on our toes as you keep raising the bar of abilities and potential
The last time I went to buy a carton of tinnies at the bottle’o they didn’t have any, they told me the brewery had pulled back on production because there was a pallet shortage. Had to settle for stubbies. Now I see why, so I’ve started collecting scrap wood to make pallets.
@@dainermade As unbelievable as I sound, that’s a true story. Which reminds me of my uncle who drove a forklift at the markets back in the ‘70’s. He would collect all the pallets at one end and drive them down the other end and sell them for $5 each, and visa versa. Created his own supply and demand. Also noticed your voice has gotten deeper and your woodworking has improved since you grew a beard. But on a serious note, great videos, thanks for making them, they’re some of my favourites.
I absolutely love how you turn crappy pallet wood into such awesome works of art. I bought myself a table saw (even if it was a cheap one) because ripping the pallets down to get a straight edge was very important but I'm looking forward to the day when I can get a planer as well so I can get the wood to a uniform thickness. I don't quite have the room yet to thickness with my router. Not sure if you've done a review on your DeWalt planer and why you chose that particular one but if you have and can link in a reply comment I'd be very grateful. I've only got a small garage and not only do I need to get rid of a load of junk in there to allow for more work space, I need to find some way of optimising the space.
Way too much gear and not enough storage space!
@@dainermade That's a great idea, might have to remove the silly plastic top guard from the table saw. I'm not new to power tools, not even sure why I put it on there. I see in practically all videos no-one has their s fitted, will have to give it a go and see what I can come up with.
You got the "Like" @0:21 seconds!
funny enough, Im making a W out of my pallets for table legs, But you have more patients than me with all the bits, The Z is going to look very nice
Love the vid looks nice.
It's absolutely worth it. I've spent the last couple of work days ripping & planing boards for depth, & it's boring AF, but that's what audio books are for. 😂 Now I'm able to make the tabletop I want without it weighing 1000 lbs.
Brilliant work, & I love the pallet bricks & "shit ply" lol.
Hey, the link for the clamps video takes us to the channel, not the video, just FYI.
Can't wait to see the end result Mark, and man, you really need a glue sponsorship 😄
you have this ability to draw on some serious OCD skills to get all that repetitive work done and completed and looking great so Well Done
Love the video Mark! Think someone could get into this without a planar / table saw? I have basically everything else but im not sure how to rip them down to the proper size without these tools. If you already have a video talking about this, send it my way!
Great work... You remind me of Nick Zammeti!! Another great channel
i counted 8 slides and 2 check squares Mark, nice to see your slide shoes are back again :) :)
Looks awesome mate. :D
Thank you! Cheers! Again
You are awesome 👌 👏
Amazing stuff Mark. Are you still using PVA for the glue up? Or have you moved on to something else?
Hey, I have a request for a video. Can you do a breakdown of your business gains since you started? UA-cam and sponsors included?
They turned out really nice mate!! 😃
@@dainermade Any month now mate. When it's not so cold and wet down here. It's to work when you got snot dripping on your work because of the cold. I'm near the coast here :)
@@dainermade Yeh man. It's either too cold or too hot in my tin shed. I get just a few months, twice a year that I can be in there comfortably. Spring and Autumn.
But I'm a real pussy so there's that too :/
Hey, you got me really curious about just doing some palletwork to experment and learn new skills, what would be the most useful tools you think a novice should have to help with the progress? I know you dont need as many as i saw the video about that person saying "we cant all have a 30k workshop" but i would love to see a video of you recommending certain tools for certain jobs as im not sure what i would want to get to get started properly.
Cool
Mark love the channel starting to work with my own pallets, where did you get the vacuum bag kit from.
Silly sod, you've made N's instead of Z's 🤦🏼♂️
See I told ya 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks
Very late thank you. I just found several of these that I was never notified about. Cheers
Hi Mark
My name is Les I have been looking at your wood working projects for last 2 weeks I think the work you do is excellent and I would like to projects like this as well do just use hard wood or is there pine mixed in with the hard wood because I have find some beautiful hard wood pallets behind Bunnings would you able to let me know thanks.
From Les.
I think the ghetto track saw is the bizzo mate!
Enjoyed the video and learned some new ways, BUT what happened to the part where you show tricks to finding good pallets?
Anyone else notice the tub of legos by the blue air compressor? And wonder what treasures you have in there?? Lol
I'm an 18 year old graduated carpenter and I am looking for a way to start a business on my own by starting small like working with pallet wood. I'm enjoying all of ur video's , love from Belgium 😁
@@dainermade thank you for your awesome vibe & passion in your video's! I would love to make these things at home but I don't have the tools and machines for it. Might buy some soon tho!
Noice!
Dunno if you’ve talked about this before and I’ve missed it or not. But what do you do with all the nails from the pallets? Do scrap metal yards take them by the pound for a few bucks, or are they trash? Also wonder if they can be smelted down into anything of use 🤷♂️
Hey, that wasn't the cheap Bunnings glue. You're risking a tear in the time-space continuum!
@@dainermade Cool. I must have missed that episode! Gotta get some of that cross linking aliphatic resin goodness! 👍
thats actually rather flash, look forward to seeing the rest of the desk
noice!
As stunning the result is, me personally, it would drive me bonkers. Too many lines for me. As to the driving me bonkers, it's probably be a short drive 😛However I do truly enjoy your sharing with us every step of the way with full vocal soundtrack describing it all. Thanks much!
Hey Mark love the channel it's entertaining and inspiring. I wanted your opinion about that planer. I've been holding off but I want to move on and get one. I really thought I wanted the DW734 I see you have the DW735. its a big purchase for me and I struggle with making dissensions. I probably cant go wrong with either one though. anyone here can throw your opinion it would help
What tools are good and necessary to have when your starting off with any kind of wood working.
Is there another way I can reach you, I wanna ask you more questions
Dude, this Ole hillbilly thinks you're one cool guy. I think you are a great woodworker, hilarious, as well as an incredible UA-camr. If you edit your own videos, which you most likely do, color me impressed. I've been working on your accent for days on end. Keep it up brother.
He often do you have to change the blades
So you beat us this time.... Get you back next Saturday!!
How wide are you ripping the pallet wood before the glue up?
I've been incredibly busy this week and haven't had much time to watch anything on UA-cam, but wanted ask you how much glue do you tend go through in making your bricks?
Any tips for those of us that don't own a jointer?
Why do you have to start gluing from the left?
Start from left, return from right, return from left, etc etc....
Great videos Mark, just wondering were you get your veneers from.
@@dainermade the coloured veneer you sometime use thanks Mark
Awesome video, I have been working my way through the videos since you popped up on my feed a few weeks back and I subbed, I haven't come across it just yet but I had a question, do you have a rule of thumb for pallet wood that has been in the rain? They leave it in loading and it has rained for a few days, do you pick it up and give it a week or so in the shed?
I had purchased a moisture meter (Klein, honestly not too great unfortunately) but for the meantime any tips or tricks you can share?
Thanks mate! Looking forward to the next video!
Thanks for the reply, I do remember seeing you were in SA or one of the hotter regions, lucky me is stuck with the Melbourne weather so it might take a bit longer haha. That last part is good to know though! Definitely going to start collecting and ripping a few up. I will be sure to share whatever abominations I make first up 😅
Finally picked up the first lot of pallets yesterday and going to make a pallet destroyer this week, I think I will try to film the build process and finally start posting some content too, thanks for your content and giving some motivation to get started!
This may seem really stupid but see the $140 bag you mentioned you can get bags that u use for vacuuming bedding into etc to save space would they work?? You know the ones I mean. Love the video though. Can I ask what you think of pallets that are made of pine?? 🏴👍
link to your vac bag?.. to buzzed any lazy to look but you stuff is great to watch 🤣
How do you break down a pallet w/o destroying the wood
Fair Dinkum Mate, this is a bonza channel
What is that device you are using on the nails?
HeyMark, don’t know if I sent this already or if I’m having a senior moment. Have you had any problems with the Bunnings pvc. How does it hold long-term?
Can you make a video on uses for the shitty plywood? There are so many pallets out there made of the stuff. How many ways that you know of can we make money from them?
In Canada we call the router bit you don't know the name of, a dovetail bit.
How much does the thickness machine cost?
It's called a dovetail router bit... just an FYI
Thank you 😆
You are now doing pallet parquet.
I always thought the herringbone was the way little herrings are made.
that is correct lol
