I do enjoy your "talkie talkie" almost as much as I enjoy the projects you make!
Shed extension ❤❤❤. Love it. Table saw upgrade - much awaited ❤❤❤
Dude, congrats on the new table saw. You have been beating your old one up for sooo long!
You should do a local giveaway with the old table saw when the new one arrives, do something similar to what blacktail studio did! Scissors, Paper, Rock competition, last man (or woman) standing gets it! Haha
Hi Mark , Congratulations, there is nothing more satisfying to see someone like you succeed. You have worked your trousers off and been down to earth to boot. You are a proper Australian bloke and by the rest of us punters following your journey, watching you work hard , building your youtube following, You have a real future ahead of you. I really love your content and look forward to watching your skillset develop. all power to your continued success
People watch UA-cam video's and think making money is easy. Some producers of video's are just unrealistic. Your honesty about how hard it is and how hard you have to work are refreshing. Good luck you you mate and if you are really ambitious then start building plywood boats, (only because I want to find out how hard the really are to build) Good luck buddy, keep hustlin'
I have to honestly & wholeheartedly say, you are truly a fantastic inspiration to not only me I'm sure, but to many, many others out there who "just need to get started". Some need words, some need a kick in the arse. Others like myself need someone like you who plants the seed & continues to feed the planting each time I watch a video of yours.
Thank you for being such a huge motivation in so many ways that hell, I'm not even sure of just how many. I just know when I watch one of your videos and listen to your reasoning for what you do and decisions you've made & continue to make, motivates the **** outta me I'm being honest.
Thank you for being a down to earth, normal person that seems to be transparent with all he does and all he's trying to accomplish. Sharing your work, accomplishments & reasoning for all that you do is truly a blessing for many.
If you've read all if this, you're even greater than I thought. Lol. Thank you again. Keep up the great work and blessing to you for a future of happiness doing what you do! Don't stop enjoying the process. Keep pushing for that "one day" to be your own boss. If I can be my own boss for 20 years & still make $, ANYONE can.
Good luck to you! Thoughts, prayers & continued YT and business success!
Tony 🇺🇸 🌎
Marky Mark thats so cool, congrats! 👍 Can't wait to see the new saw setup in place, and maybe even a legit wall built to protect it from the elements! I mean an old bed sheet is good, but... 😆
Awesome stuff mate, you've certainly earned the upgrade to the big choppy choppy and even better the T-Con is flipping the bill for the low low price of some of your time. It's a win-win-win for everyone. PS - The roll out wall extension is an epic stopgap before the real walls go up!
Well done ol’ son…. That saw is going to be a beast!! Great vid as per 👍😁🇦🇺
@@dainermade 👍👍
The “slide out” work shop extension, though typical of your “Heath Robinson” let’s-have-a-go style is brilliant!
Just love this guy, wish I’d watched him from the beginning but found him a few months again and I think I’m all caught up, he’s come so far on his Todd, way da go, look forwards to the next mate👍🏻
great news hooking up with Timbecon, they are great people...............BTW to help out I clicked on the playlist AND went to bed....how's that ? I did both things to help out, I reckon Im a bit of a genius 😜
Really enjoy the honesty in your videos and the “hello dickhead” had me cracked up 😂. Thank you
I love you and hate you in equal parts! :D You've certainly solidified my itch to try my hand at woodworking!!!! My wife will hate you once I start mentioning all the new tools that I want to get. Keep up the great work, and it's so awesome to see you doing so well!
You the man Dainsey! Love to see you side hustling all the way to some fun partnerships!
This is all wonderful news Dainsey! Stoked to hear your hard work and tenacity are paying off! Looking forward to seeing that new beautiful table saw in your shed!! Way to get after it mate!!! Cheers!!!
Congratulations, Dainsey, it’s great to see all your efforts paying off!
Congrat`s on the expansion to your work shop. More space mean`s more money and your on your way to becoming a self made man. Hard work and dedication is a passion when it comes to things we dream of and i see your dream is becoming closer to that reality-based woodworking shop. Gday mate and excellent days ahead.
This really sheds a new light on things 😁
Rapt for you mate with the partnership with Timbecon , I have made many donations to the Timbecon store , in return for goods of course!
Looking forward to what’s in store, and really hope you can make it a full time gig .
Great to see you getting the support you deserve from Timbercon. The table saw looks amazing
@@dainermade it's always a bit daunting but well worth trying
Howdy mate. Greetings from South Africa. All the best on your workshop upgrade and extension. I'm positive that will make a huge difference in your space. Can't wait to see your brand spanking new table saw 😂. Cheers, mate.
I've just discovered your channel and I reckon it is the best one out there for those of us getting started on a budget. Awesome work mate, congratulations on your partnership with Timbecon, you deserve it. Best regards from Canberra
Well Mark, things are looking up 🙂, Can't wait to see the install and your first cut with your new saw.
Hey mate, feel like I’ve been with you since the begin. Could not be any happier for congratulations, but nothing come without hard work and dedication and you sir have both.
Click on what playlist? I also think that's a very awesome suggestive support strategy! My man falls asleep watching UA-cam ALL THE TIME. I never understood it until he said it helps block out sound from me and the kids during the day. Plus at a low enough volume, it really is like white noise. 🎉🎉🎉 Good job!
That is sweet news. Awesome. Onwards and upwards, big fella!!
Much love to you from the U.S.! You're an inspiration!
Brilliant news, Mark. So bloody happy for you, mate. You started something big six years ago, but this is the start of something bigger!! And as I sit here procrastingating on doing another video (by watching your stuff), you've just convinced me to just get started and make the damn video.
Congratulations on the new sponsorship and saw! Can’t wait to see it in action.
Congratulations on your partnership. Keep Killin it!
Wow, that is a mighty saw, Many projects to come
As envious as I am of your new saw, I am so so so happy for you! You truly deserve all the success your heart desires. Thank you for making so many great videos, love the channel and love you!!!
Love your videos im from nz its good to see someone over the ditch doing something im passionate about! making a coffee table right now
I hear ya with regards to having extra cash, and then it’s gone. Recently sold all my camera gear with the intent of buying all the woodworking tools I want/need. Priced well and it all sold within a week, to the tune of about $3,500. More than enough to properly kit out my shop!
Then life came along and said “I’ll take that thank you very much!” and it was all gone or spoken for within a day. Though I did manage to order a DW735 before the shit hit the fan, so it’s not a total wipe out.
It’s brutal hey 🤣 But imagine if you did not have the $3500. Keep at it mate. That Dewalt will earn its keep now
Congratulations on the partnership
Amazing upgrade! You deserve it all.
Love the idea that you asked people to put on your playlist before bed and let it all play!! 😂 Congrats on the partnership!
In the USA you must claim ALL income from all sources - a business is trying to make a profit and can claim expenses to offset the income and lower your taxes. If it's a hobby....you don't get to deduct any of your expenses so you pay tax on all of it. Some of your tools (the laser!) must have cost a few bucks!
The rest of your advice is spot on and i love what you do with pallets!
Great days ahead mate well done ole son.
Congratulations Mark!!!
Awesome video 👍And congratulations on the partnership and new beastly machine 😆
One investment suggestion for the UA-cam side-hustle: higher-frequency/quality shed lighting. Not essential for your own eyeballs, but it'll get rid of that flicker on camera like you can see at 09:40
lovin the upgrade Mark! a roll out tranforming wall! 👍
Congratulations on the new saw. It, the Timbecon gig, and the Xtool P2 are confirmation that people are seeing the value in what you have been doing for six years. BTW it is good to see your four-legged assistant again.
ill be honest dude, the transition to the skillshare plug was actually really good. I absorb a lot of YT content, and you've done a great job on that one. Good luck for the future!
Inspiring as always. 🙏🏻
That is awesome brother i can't wait to see all the new shop additions you have coming up
Hey LOOK AT YOU GO!! Well done mate
Brilliant !! Can’t wait to see what’s next Dainsey 😊😊😊
Congrats Dainsey, that’s brilliant news. Good timing as well. I’m on the hunt for a cabinet saw. Be good to see how you go with the Sherwood.
Thanks for the motivation for new creators, man! I'm glad to see you're investing back into yourself.
I've been thinking of firing up my own channel for a while, actually started putting some effort into it this year. It's definitely hard going at first, learning all the skills needed to record, edit, etc.
I've been slowly but surely adding to my wood working tools, finally got myself a good (budget) table saw, a jointer, and other tools so I can expand my skills outside of the metalworking side of things. It's exciting stuff.
Keep up the good work, and I hope everything goes great!
Hi Marj
Love watching the journey you are doing on this channel. I am also a Semi professional amateur woodworker. Your videos are inspiration to keep expanding my sklls. Cant wait to see what the channels future has instore.
Im still doing my college course to get to my woodworking to my end result of my own business. Hopefully starting my woodworking course in September next yr. But i always love watching your inspirational videos thanks for sharing our experiences and knowledge. Peace and love from England 👌
@@dainermade na dont bother with the courses ya well over qualified. But thanks i dont get why i have to do a lvl 2 maths to do my woodworking but hay im doing it.
8:00 oof that hurts the soul
Holycrap nice one dickhead 🤪, Mark congrats mate on getting the partnership you really do deserve, that's bloody great news even better that you are able to use the kangaroo skin's you managed to save up . I see festool upon the horizon 😅😂 either that or a bandsaw you don't need 😮. Talk about channels growing fella it's just getting started, I honestly wish you all the success going forward nodoubt you'll have a blast and keep on growing your collection of kangaroo skin's!!! Looking forward to seeing what you get upto in the future of your sliding side hussle!!! As always buddy 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.
@dainermade no worries, anytime fella, great to see you doing you and not following the rest of these channels doing the same old sheep thing 🤪👍
Amazing mate congrats! Great video 😊
@@dainermade hahaha they really are
Brilliant way create more space, love it!
Awesome news, congrats!!!
During this lesson you will be taught.... By the end of this lesson you will be able to.... For ease of learning this lesson is taught to you in stages... Explain, demonstrate, practice. I've still got it! Good on ya Dainsy. I'm a bit curious as to where you'll find the extra hours in each to make time for all these ventures. Anyhoo, keep up the good work. All the best.
I love your dog!
Love the dog!
How am I ever going to get my mini-workshop reorganized if just watching you do yours has me both mentally and emotionally exhausted?!
Really good to see your example of getting out of the comfort zone of familiar arrangement to maximize efficiency.
And, as it happens, I recently made a rolling work table which needs underside reinforcement, too. I relate to the collapse amidships situation. Repurposing the sidewall framing is a fantastic idea. I couldn't understand what I was seeing at first. Brilliant!
Does it roll out onto a paver pad or something? Seemed very smooth by the end of the vid.
As always, I'm grateful for and impressed by the persistence and ingenuity (and self-deprecating humor in the face of inevitable mistakes and unexpected challenges) that you bring to your projects AND the video productions which make it possible for me to see and enjoy and learn from them.
Thanks again, Mark.
@dainermade Wait a minute now. Was that a friendly reply or the start of an intervention?! I thought I was in Hoarders ANONYMOUS! Now the whole internet knows ...
Oh, well. The truth had to get out at some point.
======
I'm always going to be impressed by the "let's attach the sidewall to the mobile miter saw table" move. Never in a million years would I have thought of that. And the pavers make a great interim solution while you finalize your expansion plan.
Ok, I expect to be home from vacation Sunday. I'll start seeing what I can streamline with my gear & set-up.
Another successful intervention, Dr. Dainer.
Congratulations Mark on the new table saw so happy for you good to see all you hard-work starting to pay off. Can’t wait to see more new videos from you
Hey thanks for what you do, inspired to build a coffee table
Mate! Congrats! I bloody love watching your down to earth take on woodworking. You're a bloody champion. Thank you for bringing a lil extra sunshine to an otherwise dreary day.
Congrats mate. Bloody good job :)
Hey man, love your videos. Always give me a laugh or two.
Delighted to see you having continued success. Can't wait to see what the shop will look like after the extension.
Am hoping to get some sort of a work space sorted soon so I can......... Just - Get - Started !!!
Again a very fun and good video!
UPGRAAAAADES!
I liked and subscribed, you are making me want to start my own woodworking hobby/side hustle. Just bought my first circular saw, so it begins.
Cool mate, hope you enjoy yourself
Fantastic 👍👍
G’day Dainsy
Been many years since 5AV & the Bn. Have been watching your channel for a few months. Ever since I saw a rude head 😂on a Timbecon email advertising the wood working show/ comp you were in. Well done on your success with it all and now the Timbecon deal. Look forward to many more clips. You’ve got me inspired to make more stuff.
Rosco
Hey mate
I'm going OK
Is there a better private way to contact you? Im crap at technology 😂
I have a few questions I'd like to ask
Have a good one
Rosco
Love your vids mate. I have been making my own picture frames for a few years to save some $$$ and had always used premade molding, but learned to cut a decent miter. I began with a Nobex handsaw and had some success, but it was slow going. In more recent times, I bought a circular miter saw and made some that way from prepared Bunnings timber. For my birthday this year, I asked my partner, mum etc if they were going to buy me a gift could they contribute some $$$ so I can buy an entry level table saw.. Now I really have the bug and have been making timber frames from basically scrap wood that was destined for the fireplace. There is something deeply satisfying about creating something out of 'scrap'.
Seeing your vids makes me want to make more cool items like tables and things. Love your work, it's very inspiring. P.S. I also have made a lot of videos for different purposes and it is not lost on me how time consuming making videos is. You are doing 2x the work there. Awesome.
Nice one, congrats on the the Timbercon partnership!! Great video again, I am struggling to find the time lately! Still not finished the workshop! I need to get the the balance more balanced!
@@dainermadethanks! it actually does look like you are on it like a car bonnet!!! How do you do that? Do you record alot in one go then post out piecemeal?
Yeeee budddy!!!❤
Congrats on the new partnership, looking forward to the future content
Great job! 🎉
Massive congrats fella, good things happen to good people!
I'm enjoying the process of you becoming a full time business human and with fewer buttock injuries!
Dainsie! With the tramp gone you've got room for a pallet wood shed! Get onto it mate
Hi Mark. I have a base cabinet on wheels under all my machines, so I can prepare my machines for every project in such a way that it makes sense to me. I often change 🤣
@@dainermade
How many square meters does your shed have?
haha i will let it run tonight great video
Shit yeah, congrats on the timbecon gig! Im just down the road from them now they moved, throw them a hint they need to get a guitar builder on board who would love to deck out his workspace with sherwood gear ;) Also, get them to set up an affiliate link so we can buy stuff from them and earn you some coin at the same time.
Well done you.
Congrats Mate! Hard work and determination pay off. Mark you are inspiring to me from a far away place ( West Virginia in in the USA ).
7:36 the fridge shits it’s self 😂😂😂
Mark, great idea to go out on your own. Don't fear it mate, embrace it. My wife and I started a glazing company back in the 70s here in WA, a few hiccups true but we made it. Just on another subject, at 10:23 on the video, there are some pink things on the blue board. Are they angles for a wedgie sled? If so mate, where did you get them? Do you make them yourself? If so how? Let me know would you as I'm keen to have a shot at vases etc. Cheers mate Stewart, south west WA.
Haha yep my fridge “shit itself” last week , there goes the “extra” money I thought I had from the last and next project from out in the garage shop!
Thanks for the understanding mate!😂
don't stinge on the shed extension build as big as you can and i once build a shed out of tilt garage doors for walls and it worked a treat 😱
Okay I hear you but how many times do you chill out in the back yard and how many times do you work in the shop, then let that make your decision haha @@dainermade
What if the fridge shits itself. Love it. 😂
You weren't wrong it was talkie 🤣
Great videos thanks for the tips and entertainment! How do you deal with moisture content in the pallet wood?
Hi mate, you often talk about your day job But I don't think you have ever shared what it is?
I Love you you tube channel, you crack me up. Good luck with it all.
Thanks very much mate, I’m a crewman on a rescue helicopter.
@@dainermade Over the years I've worked with a shitload of your paramedics that have moved to the UK. Made some good mates as well.
I understand exactly what your on about when you have previously mentioned being a number!
I'm lucky I was a carpenter and had a career change to work on shiny yellow taxis with blue flashing lights round the streets of london, so I already had an extensive tool kit. I love my hobby and watching you mate. No bullshit on your channel and nothing too serious.
@@1larfinboy ohh awesome mate. That would be a little to exciting around London wouldn’t it 😆
🙌 Good good good news!! We want to see you win !! 🙌 You deserve all the things. I've got 2nd hand excitement for the big steel cutty thing
You've been on one hell of a journey to get here, and it's only just started. Keep 'em coming big fella! Oh, and more room for your backside. Was it getting bigger or something? 😂😂
Nice! Hope you can make yourself some good money in the years to come.
I'm curious to see how the laser cutter will work out for you. On one hand, i see a bunch of UA-camrs starting a business that way. On the other hand, i see videos on how oversaturated the market is, how copycats are a problem, and how it is very difficult to get the attention of the market.
Yay! Welcome to the team. Who was that sexy fella you zoomed in on at the Timbecon channel? ;)
@@dainermadehaha I’m very vain and have an eye for details. ;)
Congrats on the new table saw. Just one quick question how big is your shop now?
Love the channel
That's pretty cool mate. I love all the extra room you have in your shed. Looking forward to seeing what else you're gonna put in there.
I made the decision not to actively pursue my woodworking channel anymore. Too much work and effort for me. If I'm making something and I feel like filming it then I will but I won't make it a task for myself out of it. Instead I've restarted my cooking channel and other cooking social media. I love my food and I have to cook anyway so why not film it. Like you said, there are 8 billion people on the planet so surely some will want to watch my stuff ;)
@@dainermade mate you don't owe me anything. I watch your social media because I like to support the channels I like. The other stuff we've talked about, I'm just happy to share what I know with people that show an interest. Happy you followed through on that. ;)
Tip: the music over powers your voice a bit. In peaks, but still makes a struggle for those who hear everything at once.
