Great video.
The video was worth the wait! Great work Alvaro!
I have a suggestion for a future video: Sizes of fictional planets from various shows and movies (Star Wars, Star Trek, Avengers, Justice League, etc.) compared to Earth.
Thank you thank you finally a vid that describes the different sizes of fictional ocean ships but there some ships that aren't in it like the submarines from blue submarine six wich was a good anime I was the one who came up with this vid please mention me in your next vid
Thanks for putting the Red October in there
I didn't expect that a cute-girl-tank-school-anime would win the title of the largest ships in the video.

@@therealcrisis8439 same here bruh
Just in case anyone's wondering: the largest self propelling ship that we've ever build was an oil tanker called _Knock Nevis_ . She was constructed by Sumitomo in Yokosuka, Japan, between 1974 and 1979. She had a lenght of 458.45 meters, a beam (width, in naval terms) of 68.8 meters, and a draft (the distance from the waterline to the deepest part of the hull) of 24.61 meters when full. The displacement while fully loaded was 646'642 tons. Sadly, that ship wasn't present on this video. It would have been cool as a reference.
It isn't the largest any more, it is the Pioneering Spirit. Although not in length (the hull is about 370 m long) but the width makes up for it being 124 m. Depending on how deep it sits (it has huuuuge ballast tanks) it can displace up to about 1.000.000 tons. Apparently it is the heaviest vehicle ever built.
You actually included the shark submarine from Tintin!?!? That makes me unbelievably happy!!

It's within our technical abilities to build even the largest ships in this video (albeit tremendously expensive) but not the smallest ones. Also shrinking a person ant-man style is impossible.

i really didn't expect the 20 seconds of toss a coin to your witcher
immediately followed by strings taken straight from pirates of the caribbean
I caught that also. Lol I was sitting there like wait a minute. Why is this so familiar
I absolutely adored the fact that you put the flying sub from voyage to the bottom of the sea on here, and it was nice to see the seaQuest. But I feel a little letdown that you didn’t include the actual Seaview from voyage to the bottom of the sea itself. No matter. Thank you for doing this anyway.
I am surprised and happy about how many ships I knew of were in this 😆 I knew Legacy and Cyclops had to be in there somewhere!
Not gonna lie I wasn't expecting girls und panzer to be at the top......
We too
Bro same
No one was
Same thing, bro
I dont think its a coincidence that this featured several One Piece ships and even showed a remix of it main theme on the same day chapter 1000 was released.
Chapter 1000 came out a week ago lol
@@nmk_official Not officially
@@nmk_official that was the leaked version. today was the official release.
Was happy to see both the Going Merry and Thousand Sunny. Didnt expect to see Noah in their. That was cool. I wasnt sure, but I thought that was the theme song
I thought the boat biggest would be the thriller bark but noah is bigger
Very cool. I'm shocked not to see 2 entries though. The Helicarrier from Avengers, and the city of Atlantis from Stargate: Atlantis. Although the latter could be shoved into a category of buildings or ships really.
Thanks for creating this!
I seen that little yellow airplane again pulling the sub banner how cool !
You forgot the cityship Atlantis. Stargate: Atlantis.
Atlantis is a Spaceship
@@danielpavlicek9168 A another space ship was already included, but I believe Atlanta is actually about the same size as it anyways.
@@danielpavlicek9168 It was found under water and floated on the ocean for years before ever flying away. It was a watercraft first. Space craft second
I was also expecting Atlantis to top the list.
I was thinking the same thin. They included the craft from The Core, seriously.
The draft of Pravda vessel would probably be half a kilometer or more.
For real...like you wouldn't be able to take it anywhere near a coastline without running aground, LoL! I'd hate to be the poor basterd who gets stuck with the duty of scraping barnacles off the keel...jeez that's deep...better send a submersible.
GuP School ships are flat bottomed so they can enter relatively shallow water for a ship their size.
@@Scioneer Even with a flat bottom, a ship that big has to have an extremely deep draft to have any kind of stability.
That will make them limited to be in middle of oceans only... Very un-responsable anime writers....
@@AaronShenghao Trust me, these ships are by far not the most unrealistic thing in this show.
It would've been hilarious if you went through and even did the Chi-Ha-Tan carrier, as well in general the other school ships lol
Nice tune around 4 minutes. Definitely a cover of Toss a Coin to Your Witcher
Didnt expect to see Ulysses on this list. Not a ton of people know/remember atlantis
Glad to see it though! 😁
it's such a cool submarine
It's one of my favorit movies. jet i did not know it was called Ulysses. I simply referded to it as: the big sup in antlantis
@@wartorngaming1037 Same lol
I'm so glad you included the Yangtze
Thanks for including Ulysses from Atlantis: The Lost Empire!! ❤
