Could i play games using a USB flash drive? Like for gamecube, if i format to FAT32 and create a folder on the root called Games and just sort the iso’s correctly, will Nintendont read them fine?
I haven't personally tried it but I think it'll run fine, I know tons of people that run the GameCube games from an external hard drive. So if they can do that I'm sure a USB drive will work fine
There's two ways you can accomplish that, 1. Scour the internet looking for them, they're called channel forwarders 2. This way is easier, use the open shop channel and download them straight off that
Hi, I haven't covered that yet but it's not too difficult Here's a list of all compatible HDDs that work with the Wii wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/USB_Devices_Compatibility_List
My Wii games were downloaded in a wbfs format and GameCube games were downloaded in a FAT32 but GameCube games couldn’t be flipped into a wbfs format and wouldn’t open to be played. Used vimm's lair and gxloader. How can I solve this issue? Tried nintendont aswell.
For the Atrari 2600 you are saying to put the "wii 2600" folder in the "apps" folder on your SD card and the "Atari 2600" folder on your SD card? So you are putting the same folder in two different locations on your SD card? That means there are two different "roms" folders. Which one do you put your roms in?
@@BelowAverageGaming I got the Atari 2600 emulator running on my Wii. You mentioned that the roms must be in .rar format. Not only do they not have to be, they can't. .rar files will not run. I was just able to use the raw .bin files and they all run fine.
@@BelowAverageGaming Okay. The differences from setup to setup are interesting. I also got MAME and a C64 emulator running on my Wii. Thank you. This was very helpfull.
What happens when you fill up the Wii system memory? It gets stuck on the Wii system manager saying it’s full. I was uncomfortable deleting things without being able to properly uninstall wads.- but I did. I ended up deleting saves and a mystery channel with a question mark with 21 blocks by accident. I deleted 2 channel wads for emulators and got out but I’m worried about getting locked out with a full system. Blocks were not opening up upon deletions. Can I store channels and run them from the Sd card? (From the Wii system settings) I’m hesitant to open the Sd card in Wii system settings... maybe that would open up space. I’ve got to keep an eye on the 200 blocks I have left since I need space for 2 emulators
@@BelowAverageGaming thank you. I have one page of successful emulators. I installed 3 wiiware wads on the main screen. They seem to take a lot of space. Have you heard of anyone getting stuck with a full system and not be able to delete and back out? @@BelowAverageGaming oh ok I tried to put that on my wii so I could play downloaded wii games because a lot of wii games now are pretty expensive plus when I played wii games on dolphin on my pc I could use cheats it's just a pain playing wii games on pc
You can still play Wii games backed up on the Wii. It just doesn't take an emulator to use them. This video might be up your alley

What emulator can we use to play Dreamcast on wii
It can't play dreamcast unfortunately
THE JOJO INTRO
Can someone help me where i can find all available roms for each platform?thanks
what is the wallpaper on your desktop?
It got it designed by an artist so it's one of a kind!
@@BelowAverageGaming ill try it out n let you kno~
@@BelowAverageGaming yo confirmed it works fine so long as everything is formatted correctly
Ayyyyy, good stuff
Should I be downloading everything using VPN and should I install without being connected to the internet?
None of this is illegal?
How you obtain your ROMs though is a different story
Hey, great video. Is there a way to get shortcuts of the emulators to the main Wii home screen?
There's two ways you can accomplish that,
1. Scour the internet looking for them, they're called channel forwarders
2. This way is easier, use the open shop channel and download them straight off that
@@BelowAverageGaming cool thanks! Are they easy to find on the open shop?
Yeah right in the emulator homepage
@@BelowAverageGaming sweet, thanks i haven't used open shop yet. Appreciate the help and the videos
I have a video on it if your interested

Tysm bestie!
Do Nes/Genesis/Snes/etc have to be unzipped when you place them in their respective folders on the SD card? Most of my roms are already unzipped : |
You can rezip them if you need too, just right click it
is there a way to run all my roms off an external hdd? my sd card isn't THAT big.
Unfortunately no, all ROMs must be played through the SD.
I would just get a bigger SD, I think they're only 20 bucks
Can you put your rom or game on a usb stick or it is suppose to be on the sd card ?
Generally ROMs go on the SD card and ISOs go on a USB stick
Does Nintendo run ciso files?
And if so how would I label the file?
So your videos have helped me out big time. Do you have one showing how to setup a external hdd to work with the wii? If not could you.
Hi, I haven't covered that yet but it's not too difficult
Here's a list of all compatible HDDs that work with the Wii

You the man thank you
Hey quick question some games on N64 look really bad is that normal? I mean like I can’t even see the letters or the characters.
Not every game runs great
Heres a compatibility list

@@BelowAverageGaming oh okay thank you very much, Appreciate it.!
No problem!

GameCube does not need to be in WBFS. Please rewatch the GameCube section of the video
Great Video 👍👌
Thanks man I appreciate that
For the Atrari 2600 you are saying to put the "wii 2600" folder in the "apps" folder on your SD card and the "Atari 2600" folder on your SD card? So you are putting the same folder in two different locations on your SD card? That means there are two different "roms" folders. Which one do you put your roms in?
Hey, i didnt mention anything about the atari2600 folder? you want what's inside that folder. 11:30
@@BelowAverageGaming I got the Atari 2600 emulator running on my Wii. You mentioned that the roms must be in .rar format. Not only do they not have to be, they can't. .rar files will not run. I was just able to use the raw .bin files and they all run fine.
That's weird, technically it's not in a rare format it's in a zip format but even so they run for me that way
@@BelowAverageGaming Okay. The differences from setup to setup are interesting. I also got MAME and a C64 emulator running on my Wii. Thank you. This was very helpfull.
can you use usb drive instead of sd card?
Nope
Soooo technicaly you can get a functional nintendo switch emulator on wii?
As a rule of thumb, you cannot emulate anything from a new generation on an older console.
can someone explain the roms part to me? i have no clue what im doing
Just download a WAD manager and uninstall some of the wads you have?
No you can't store channels on the SD
@@BelowAverageGaming thank you. I have one page of successful emulators. I installed 3 wiiware wads on the main screen. They seem to take a lot of space. Have you heard of anyone getting stuck with a full system and not be able to delete and back out? I tried dumping the emunand in USB loader gx for Wii ware games to save space previously but ended up with waaay too many files open in the file. I thought I bricked the system when it was full. I was in the middle of installing a Wii ware wad and couldn’t back out to uninstall wads. Scared me
First time I've heard of that issue!haha
Uninstalling unnecessary wads would be your best bet at clearing stuff
Where's the virtual jaguar for the wii ?
