The guy at SWIFT lol say it aint no money out here. YOUNGSTERS stay away from guys like that they both have made some bad decisions in life and BITTER nobody owes you nothing grind and get it if the dry van aint paying at the mega go learn something else, fuel, flatbed, car hauling, LTL, heavy haul. Seek knowledge dont waiste your time listening to clowns like them 2.

I like this comment you 100% right I got my cdl a year ago i got 1 year experience. I’m bout to go get my crane 🏗️ license and heavy equipment training. They key to trucking nowadays is getting into specialized niches in trucking and having multiple skillsets in trucking you will do good in the industry. Basic Dryvan hauling won’t get you no where.

Probably because he’s also not taking as much loads to get good money. Sometimes they complain the money isn’t good but only take a few loads and call it a day. You have to hustle like any other job to get to where you want to be

That’s the easiest question ever . Simply because a lot of older drivers started out with a chauffeur’s license and in 1990 traded it in on cdl (for free). There was once money out here , truck companies actually stayed out of your way of making money.
Truck’s were triple digits and we had paper logs .
Today you got pansies in the truck company offices .
You’ve got absolute skanks working in the safety department that are instead on the truck driver’s side , They are hand in hand with dot .
Truck stop Girls actually looked good at one time , Now they’re blown up like balloons 🎈 and a lot have attitudes (only truck drivers are allowed to have attitudes).
Come November, There’s gonna be a lot of truck drivers gone . Which means more companies are going to be gone too .
To answer the question though .
A lot of us are old and soon can retire , A lot are just waiting to be able to collect our 401k and hopefully a pension plan .
We made our money, But not we’re just waiting to collect what we earned (only one hitch) , You have to be a certain age to collect. Most drivers that are able to cash in , Are doing it and they’re gone .
You heard the one guy , There’s nothing good about it .
      There’s your answer .
Truck driving today is absolutely 💩.

Trucking is just not the same!!! It has been Watered down.. It's a totally different day in time. If you all don't see all of these FOREIGNER'S and WOMEN driving Trucks now and have to ask yourself as an American Traditional Masculine man if it is still worth it, evidently you haven't been paying attention and walking around with your eyes wide shut!!! Trucking and Hotshot industries are OVER and DONE with. Do better off delivering pizza"

I get the foreigners, especially most of them driving with no CDL but women? Maybe they figured theirs absolutely nothing masculine about driving a big rig which there isn’t. Most men just drop and hook anyway, they prefer no touch freight lol whats masculine about that ?
