- I’ve been hearing this a lot, but I think having a CDL is worth it now being a trucker I would need more experience to really give my input, but this is just reasons why I believe trucking would be trash.

Appreciate it bro🙌🏾
Trucking is not trash if you’re a company driver, it’s not as good as it was compared to the pay in 2009 but it’s good money especially with the right endorsements.
I'm a local driver and I can tell you I personally would never do OTR. It's just a different lifestyle. I enjoy being home every night, off weekends, holidays etc. With that said there are companies that work the shit out of local drivers as well. I'm fortunate to work for who I work for.
It’s garbage and slave work, lot of guys think they’re off duty during their 10 and 34 hour off but they’re not. All they are then is a security guard. Pay sucks for 24/7 work
Trucking is the most American job as it gets !
Well, I am American🤷🏾♂️😂
OTR would be perfect for me. No family, no kids, no wife. It's just me at this point.
You can stack up a pile of money
Stack cash bro
OTR sucks. I used to do 25 days out, 4 days home. Garbage schedule. Even 12 days out sucked. Go local. You’ll enjoy life and still make good money. Try food service if you need to make more money.
Yeah, local as well I’ll be staying. Im also considering food service
Food service is good if you're young.
@tagle2818 I know guys in their early 60’s still doing food service, the sky is the limit my boy
@@MrDogbrain I agree there’s no age limit to it, as long as your physical capable 💪🏾
@rydewithty damn straight my dude, go get your paper and I’ll see you at the finish line
Depends on the company and person work ethic
@@bosleylogisticsllc8244 Agreed, this is the most rational comment about this subject
Go regional if you want to home every weekend.
I’ll pass on that too. I want to be home every night.
3rd generation driver and 10yrs experience myself local and regional is where it’s at honestly for money and time home. Best money out there right now is local fuel delivery. Buddy of mine does that and makes $90k per year but the hazmat endorsement can be a pain to keep up with and cost a couple hundred dollars to renew it every 5yrs or so
Staying local is definitely part of my plan. I also came into this wanting to get my hazmat and tankers to haul fuel definitely cannot see myself going over the road. I just don’t see it being worth it.
great video! where are you from? i cannot pinpoint your accent apart from new england region.
Providence , RI The East Coast
I’m in class for my class A cdl and my instructor told me afterwards check out ice road truckers and honestly my father been a truck driver for years and he tell me all the time it’s not worth it It’s easy to lose my family
It’s very easy to lose a family even if you have an understanding with someone @ the start unless they are willing to come with you and you have no kids 🤔 doooooo itttt get your endorsements at the very least you’ll protect yourself.
bruh how much do you make currently roughly if you don't mind me asking. Please ignore if you do. thanks
Let’s just say more then I made at any other job I ever had, my last company (Amazon) paid Pennies that’s why I left
CDL is worth it, my girls friends mom is single and drives trucks. She has her own RV, house and so on. Im currently doing my CDL A took a $5500 loand out and the owner of thr driving school through in the hazmart training for free. I use to do security and be out a month. Made $20K in month but dangerou work and was even offered to go to africa for security. Cdl a dangerous too but good money all the time and stable.
It’s definitely worth it to me, everyone’s driving experience will be different and some companies don’t pay as good as others so some will say it’s not worth it but stick to and I wish you the best.
You sound like Cassidy the rapper
I hear that all the times or Corey guns
2024 Bro stay Driving in a Company Truck Bro.
So far that’s the plan
Trucking is trash 🗑 only people coming from warehouse and Walmart McDonald's think Trucking is great
Why do you think trucking trash? Elaborate.
Ai will replace truckers
@@bryantaragon2922 Not anytime soon, and Ai will replace MOST jobs it’s not just limited to trucking
AI needs to replace brokers
@@Sword.and.Shield_ Elaborate on why? Curious to know other peoples perspectives
@@rydewithty Brokers are taking way too much off the top of these loads. A broker has little to no risk, low overhead, and many of them are low character. AI could easily reduce the amount of Brokers which would save money for the shippers.
Why you delete your videos wtf yoo
I’ll be making a video about what happened stay tuned!
U curse the name of God too mutch in your vid. I cant flow with u. So upsetting. Cursing the name of God man. Think bro.
I ain’t for everybody and I’m cool with that
