@Dr. Lori thank you I've learned so much about jewelry from your videos I never looked at costume jewelry when gathering inventory until I stumbled on your videos last year :)
Thanks so much! Jewelry is a favorite of mine. I gain so much knowledge from you and can't be happier with your channel. You look extra happy today. I love the circles on your sweater (top) that compliment the red circles on your bracelet and earrings. Again, thank you for all you do!
If jewelry is your favorite... .you should check out my binge link at www.drloriv.com/specials (scroll down) because that will give you all the videos on the topic of your choice.
I strike gold every time I watch your videos, Dr. Lori and I watch them a lot! I've learned so much from you and continue to learn! I have a fixation for costume jewelry because of you and I'm starting to be able to visually identify certain jewelry makers based on what you've been teaching us in what to look for! I'm hooked! You're absolutely invaluable, and THEE only resource I go to for trusted and accurate information! I really hope to meet you one day!
You are an excellent teacher, Dr. Lori. Thank you for explaining the reasoning behind what makes these marks so special/ how they made your list. S. A. L. ---> brb. Going through my collection because I know I have seen this mark but thought it was Avon. Will definitely catalogue those differently. You’re the best! ❤
You look very nice Dr Lori😊Thank you so much for the information! These are names I have never heard of except for maybe a couple. I will definitely be on the lookout for those!
Thank you Dr Lori for this information packed video. Seeing the various maker's marks with a brief description of the manufacturer's history as well as jewelry Style and time period, is SO Helpful!
Thank you Dr. Lori for this wonderful information on costume jewelry. I love costume jewelry so much & have several pieces of it in my collection. When my Mother passed my Sister only wanted my Mother’s $3000.00 wedding set so she threw all of her other jewelry including all of her costume jewelry in the trash. 🤦🏼♀️Because she thought it was all of know value to her. Well it didn’t take me to seconds to dig it out of the trash. She said, what do you want junk jewelry for. I said because it’s was my Mother’s 😢
:( .. Sorry for your loss. Good for you, though. I have lots of my mom's costume jewelry, as well as other relatives like my aunts and grandma's! I only wish that our house wasn't broken into back when I was a teen. The thieves took a whole dresser drawer full of my faves. I've loved costume jewelry since I was a child.
I’m sharing this one with my friend who is just now trying to find these pieces with the names. She actually just found you this week and told me. I said that I am following you for a long time.
I have some Hattie Carnegie! 🥰 My favorite piece is a large broach that reminds me of a Juke Box! It has a "permanent" placement on my tuxedo style black duster. Lots of compliments. $30 I paid for the broach. Many of these names you mentioned, I'm not familiar with. So thank you very much Dr. Lori for sharing this very cool informative video! 👏🤗💖💐
Hi Dr Lori. I love that your doing this video on pearls. I have about 15 different necklaces but I couldn't figure how to send it with the link. Probably because i went through 25 pounds over the weekend and found some beautiful Viv and Ingrid 1957 est Astral crystal hoops made from Sworovski. That are just badass. I guess they are new though . But made with the Sworovski crystals. Sexy !! Orange and Pinkish 😊 i scored over 75 different pairs of earrings. 😅 all vintage with a bunch of Roseries that are really nice. Only 5 or 6 pearl necklaces have potential and some have been found on Google lens for 50 ish dollars but a few come up high dollar and must be a mistake.
@Dr. Lori thank u so much. I've been watching for about a year and decided to put my eyes to the test. Your so right about training your eyes. I'm going go look. I would love to become a jewelry appraiser. I think it would be incredible to learn from the best. Doing 50k appraisals a year is incredible.
Just watched “King of Collectibles: The Golden Touch” episode 1, with my husband, and about jumped off the couch in excitement when they called Dr. Lori in to appraise the beanie babies! 😂 You should have seen my husband! I about scared the skin off of him! Lol
I have lots of costume pieces for myself. I don't buy to resell. I like many styles and designs, but maybe I'm a little weird because one of my favorites to find is the cheap plastic stuff! Lots of color! I even have a bright green bracelet with large plastic leaves set on a wrist watch type band. Its great! Also the sugared bead ones in great colors. I think they are unique and more people will collect them someday. That being said, I love the more high end stuff too!

I have some vintage costume jewelry from my Mom (she passed away 25 years ago) and they have been sitting in a box since then because I didn't know what to do with it or if it was worth anything. If I recall, there are a few pieces from the 40's and 50's that are not in great shape but are noteworthy. How can I tell the worth? They are in the condition she left them in (not cleaned). TIA! Love your channel!
Oh Dr. Lori.. I woke up this morning to watch this video and the first thing I saw was the surfer painting… my 25 year old son just passed away and he was a surfer! Can you tell me anything about it? I smiled so big and it brought back memories of my beautiful boy on the water.
I have these large heart shaped Swarovski clear crystal earrings with a gold border. I bought them at a thrift store in the 1970's or 1980's. Where can I find the rubber inserts to keep them on the ears? Otherwise I can't wear them. The earrings just drop off.
Please help me Dr. Lori. There is a confusion about the premier design hallmark and a capital PD on a ring. They are saying palladium and premier designs. Could you please help me find out? I have three really nice rings that have only the Capital PD on them. Please?
