ABOUT US
We’re the Lockwoods. And we’re traveling the world to experience-up close and in person-all the natural wonders and distinct cultures that our kids would otherwise be consuming only through textbooks and TV. We think it’s a better way to learn and we’re working hard to fund this little experiment in the hope that our kids will grow up wiser, kinder, and more grateful for the beauty of our diverse planet and its people.
4:15 " Nakakaintindi ako." 👏👏👏 Kudos for going above the basic common Tagalog lines to learn Sir Phil!
My other equally fave part is your Jollibee feast!
Miss Erin, peach mango pie is my fave love that it got your must-eat stamp of approval ❤❤❤
Thank You for making your travel day episodes so genuine - love the editing of this one👏👏👏
Thank you! 😃 Phil is so good at learning new languages. He’ll be fluent in no time 😉
@@AlwaysBeChanging yes maam! I bet he will. Hopes it is fun to learn Tagalog as much as we get the kicks watching you try ;)
What a variety n excitement videos this Lockwood family is offering us....oh how can we not following along with them,....cant get enough of your contents folks! Way to go ..we love you. God bless❤❤❤❤❤
So happy you found our channel! Thanks for appreciating our content 👍🏻
I've seen a lot of foreigners exploring Philippines but you guys are one of my favourites it's because I think I have a similar goal: to travel with my own family. I also adore your family dynamic
Thank you! 😃 we hope you get to travel with your family and have your own amazing experiences.
Hello 👋 awesome video😊 thank you for taking us a long! More power to your channel ❤❤
Thank you! Appreciate you watching 😊
Welcome to KL, Malaysia, your 22nd world travel destinations. Thank you for this video. Wonderful. Hope that you guys will have a great time in Malaysia. Newly subscribed.
See you guys in the next video, having a luxurious buffet breakfast at Shangrila. Enjoy your explorations in KL and also around Malaysia.
Thank you so much! We looking forward to sharing KL and more 🇲🇾 destinations through our eyes 🫶
@@AlwaysBeChanging 😄
Been enjoying watching you guys videos
I think you were wise in traveling for one year or so, this way you saw a lot of countries and stayed in each place for a longer time and really enjoyed it instead of one or two days, this way also you saw how the locals live.
Oh my gosh that Shangri-La upgrade was beautiful!!! Wow! It had its own kitchen and kid’s teepee!!!😲I’m going to start looking up their locations.
It was a great room! And we paid under $200 a night for it 👍🏻
I absolutely love filipino spaghetti, but I understand it can be an acquired taste. I had an italian neighbor/friend and hated it the first 2 years he lived next to us. After attending a ton of house parties they eventually fell in love with it in their 3rd year and on. He actually doesn't like Jollibee spaghetti, but likes homemade filipino spaghetti.
Maybe I’ll get used to it 😊 I think sugar is addictive like salt. The more you have it in your food the more acquired you are to the taste.
4:14 Wow! That was perfect! 😍🤩👏👏👏
He’s a perfectionist 🤷♀️🥰
Always Be Changing and Mom Duty are like the new sitcom American families but travel style. I feel like I'm watching Full House or Home Improvement of travel.
I love that! So happy to be your entertainment 🥰🤩
Full Watching your video and ads take care my friend
So special to travel the world with your children. Looking forward to your next vlog. Stay safe always 🙏💖
Thank you so much! We can’t wait to share the next one 😊
Welcome to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Love from KL
Thank you so much! 🥰🤩🇲🇾
I binge watched all your videos since I randomly chanced upon your channel and been loving it. If you have time, you should visit Langkawi in Malaysia, too and try the jetski island hopping!
Thanks for the tips! We have four episodes in Malaysia coming up 🤗
Enjoying your family trip❤❤❤
Loved the video guys, it was so fun to watch, Phil is doing so good with His Tagalog!!! ❤️ Sayang Hindi nyo nakita yong Mom Duty family🥲 pero ok lang my Next Time pa naman. God bless your family❤️🙏
So happy you liked it 🤗 we wish we got to see MomDuty too. But we do get to see them again before we leave for the US 😉
Fantastic ❤ New place to explore. I can’t wait what Malaysia is all about. Go Phil and Erin tell us what’s your travel experience in Malaysia.
Thanks! So happy you liked it. We actually just launched our newest episode in Kuala Lumpur.
I was dying with Colt’s purple markings everywhere🤣😂I love that he just left them on. Poor baby was too tired to care🤪🥰😴
🤣😂 he owned them too. Wore them proudly 🤩
We go through that gate hunting as well with Cebu Pacific Naia T3. I didn't know it was still happening until now. But yeah, they are a budget airlines so we can't expect much. :) Thanks for sharing your Journey. I love travel day as well, i just don't like forgetting things. :)
Thanks 😊 We’ll know better next time we fly them.
Another awesome friggin’ vlog fam! Cannot believe we were both at the Manila Airport at the same time but couldn’t see each other😩Next time😉
We were SOOOOOO close!!!
your kids are lucky to have parents who love to travel around the world.
Thanks! We love that we get to show them so much of the world 🫶
'Oo" thats the cutest oO ive heard,, 🤣🤣
😄👍🏼🇵🇭❤️
Hello Team! I really enjoy watching your amazing family and following along on your fun journey step by step. I’m impressed that even though you’ll mostly be based in my favorite Philippines, you all travel to other amazing nearby countries to show us much more, then of course come back to the amazing Philippines! I want to fly AirSwift later also! Jollibee is my favorite I like the Burger Steak with tons of gravy poured over rice and the pancakes and coffee. Safe travels Team! I miss MOMDUTY as well waiting on their next episode! LETS GO!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for your sweet comment 🫶 We love the Philippines and we still love traveling and seeing new countries. Thanks for following us along 🤗
@@AlwaysBeChanging No problem! We’ll deserved! 200K subscribers very soon! Go TEAM!!!
Back in the 70's, there were only 2 airports in Manila. One for domestic (what is now terminal 4) and international (terminal 1), built separately. Two more airports were constructed at different times years after, terminals 2 and 3. Which is why the structures are all quite a distance apart. Just a brief tidbit from an old timer here :)
Thanks 😊
# 5 Definitely - ShangRi- La has the best breakfast - so much food you want to start early and stay until they kick you
out so they can do lunch. We often book for a Christmas day breakfast and take the maid as a treat. Heck, she goes
everywhere with us to eat, we never leave her home.
That’s so nice! I bet that’s a fun tradition for everyone 😊
Best of luck and safe travels!
Thank you 😊 so grateful to travel!
7:47 When you find the options at Terminal 3 to be limited you can also explore Newport World Resorts at the other side of the terminal which is directly linked to Terminal 3 through a pedestrian walkway called "Runway Manila". There's a mall there with so many dining options and cinemas. The hotel restaurants and cafes around the complex are also great places to wait at. It's so easy to access Terminal 3 through it when you want to avoid crowds.
Thanks for that info! I think we hit that on our next travel day 🤩
Suggestions on where to go:
Kuala Lumpur - Batu Caves & KLCC
North East - Perhentian Islands for white sand beaches & corals
North West - Gopeng & Ipoh for food, rafting, limestone hills
Thank you for the recommendations! So much variety in Malaysia 🫶
@AlwaysBeChanging do not spend so much time in kl, explore other places if you can. Example go to taman negara (national park). The world's oldest tropical rainforest.
East coast islands are great for kids. Example perhentian, redang, tioman, lang tengah, kapas, rawa.
Caving activities : gua tempurung, perak state
Tea plantations aka the Scotland of malaysia - Cameron highlands
Old awesome cities of penang, ipoh, melaka. Ancient ruins of bujang vallley, said to be the oldest structure in South east asia.
Visit borneo island (the real jurassic park).
My husband loves Filipino spaghetti. He likes the fact that it doesn’t give you heart burn
Makes sense. More sugar 🟰 less acidity
Enjoy Kuala Lumpur lovely family
Thank you 😊
Thats dope Phil! You are learning Tagalog language.
Yes! 🤩 thanks!
You are 155k subs now 5:03 Hooray! 🎉
Still growing 🤗
I love watching your videos!! I always fly with cebu pac - both for domestic and international flights. I do like that they allow very early check-in for flights that way, i can take my time especially when queues in the airport can be unpredictable. i once spoke to their agents. They mentioned that gate changes happen very frequently due to the manila airport itself managing the parking of the aircrafts and such. I've had mostly good experiences with them and some not so good ones due to delays which is also common for flights leaving manila in general. For some flights, they only announce the gate close to boarding time but I personally wouldnt mind that because of the value for money.
i hope you enjoy KL!! loved it there too!
Thanks! We appreciate you watching us 😊 Overall the experience was fine and it was a great value but the gate change was annoying that they didn’t communicate it at all. Also they cancelled our returning flight and we had to book another airline. But you’re right, the value was the best deal.
Amazing room.
It was an amazing deal! We paid less than $200 a night for it.
I love your travel and I have watched all your videos from day one and I really enjoy all of them, like the best travel family and I have also watched your friends videos too and like so good too.
I cannot wait for your upcoming vlogs, so good and you were the first family travel vlog I have seen on UA-cam.
I will be travelling soon and was wanting to know , what kind of camera I should take for vlogging.
I have a cannon g7x MII and I also have a canon Eos 650D: with this I can add external microphones on it.
Because you are an accomplished travel family and uploading amazing vlogs on travel.
What camera should I take for my vlogs: I have an 10-18mm Wide Angle Lens and another lens.
Would you be able to point me in the right direction in terms of what camera I should take for my travel and vlogs.
Do you use a tripod or just hand held vlogging camera.
I'd like to get some advice on how to hold a DSLR camera while vlogging , whether to use a tripod or not or just hand held.
Any help and advice would be great in terms of what camera with Lens and external Microphone or just a Canon g7x compact flip up screen camera.
Love all your videos
Thank you so much for all the support with our channel! It sounds like you already have some money invested in your current gear so it might make the most sense for you to make good use of that. As far as what we use, you can see our current collection at followabc.com/gear
I actually stopped traveling with any tripod at all, because it seemed like I would use it. Maybe once per year. I had been carrying a small mantispod, but I even took that out of my sling for the same reason. I just hold the camera with my hand. When I need to use it in selfie mode, I hold it around the mount on the lens, from underneath.
My mission is to carry as little as possible, so it’s pretty much our Sony camera with two lenses and microphones, our drone, and our Insta360. Everything else is just spare batteries and that sort of thing.
👍🏼
I never tired Jollibe in my 2 years there (One of my biggest regrets) oh and to answer your question on Uganda its an amazing country highly recomend.
Hopefully you can try it at some point. Thanks for recommending Uganda!
❤❤❤wow so nice
Thanks 🤗
Jollibee spaghetti is Filipino spaghetti , soft noodles and sweet sauce not my favorite either. But the chicken is really good and tasty. Yum 😊 Excited for Malaysia
Yes 😊 we LOVED the chicken.
I'm a super fun ❤❤love this family a lot🥰
Thank you for being a super fan! 🫶🤗❤️🤩🥰🤩🙏🙏🙏
wow❤❤❤🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭💕💞
Thank you ! 🙏🫶👍🏻
Video must have been taken ages ago. You're already past 150k subs! Every time a foreigner friend asks me for recommendations on what to order from Jollibee, I say "just try the Chickenjoy. Nothing else!" lol
That’s the way to go. Now that we’ve tried so many things that’s what we would recommend too. 👍🏻
Your son is so verry handsome and verry adorable 🥰🥰🥰🥰
We totally agree! 🤗❤️🥰
The most important thing in a burger is the taste of the patty. Mc Donald's is bland. It's what Filipinos noticed since it first entered their market. While the yumburger can stand with just the sauce w/o other add-ons. That set the tone so from then on Mc Donald's though no. 1 in other countries, just can't beat Jollibee in the Philippines. Next time try their premium burgers, the Champ or the Aloha, which have all the add-ons.
Their spaghetti never intended to copy the original gourmet Italian recipe. It offered a new taste using banana & tomato ketchup for a less sour taste (which doesn't necessarily mean it's candy sweet) that caters to the children's palate. What the kids honestly thought without hearing first how a spaghetti should be, would've been interesting.
Glad you all liked the chicken. For many, it's only half the experience without the gravy. Good thing the mom remembered!
Cheers on your trip and continuing success!
yall should try adding rice and put gravy on it trust me its hella delicious
I’m sure there will be more times at Jolibee 😊 we’ll give it a try
love your videos!!!!! i just want to ask what equipment do you guys use?? thank you!!
Thanks!! We list all our equipment here: FOLLOWABC.com/gear
I will be nice and say that Cebu Pacific needs to step up their game.
Frankly, I never fly with C-P unless there's no other choice. 😮 And even then, I will try to choose different dates so I can fly with another airline.
We hear a lot of similar comments.
Welcome to malaysia ♥️🇵🇭
Thank you so much! So happy to explore 🇲🇾
Cebu pacific always changes gate and it's frustrating. Been there.
Ya. I can’t imagine what would have happened if we didn’t figure it out.
Sending ❤❤❤ to you guys from Las Vegas. Enjoy your trip to Kuala Lumpur.
Thank you so much!! Have fun in Vegas 🤩
11:44 I noticed that the Champ burger is what foreigners love in Jollibee, they don’t like the regular yumburger. Definitely Champ quality is better but I always go for the regular cheeseburger because it’s cheaper 😅
There’s still a lot more on the menu we haven’t tried yet.
enjoy KL. best food hub. i miss the chinese food. if you love the spice, go for the malay and indian cuisine.
if you have the time, best wildlife will be in sabah. the orang utans at sepilok, sandakan is a must see.
Thanks! Our next episode will be all about finding street food in KL. We love the different influences here.
i hope you try flying international from Cebu airport. You will see a great difference
We gave. Beautiful airport. We love flying in and out of Cebu.

Let’s GOOOOO thanks for watching 🙏
Hi Welcome to my country 🇲🇾
Thank you! 🤗
# 4 Changing gates on you ? We were at the Atlanta Air Port - which is huge, just coming back from a two week European Cruise. We are at our gate ?
and wondering why we didn't see our plane on the reader board - they moved the gate, too noisy to hear the announcement ( if there was one ) we must have
made it cause I'm here.
That must have been so frightening
the chicken is seasoned and meant to be paried with rice and gravy :)
We’ll try that too next time.
On the seating arrangement, i think when only a few fly, they take in more cargo load, so they try to balance the plane weight left vs right side
That’s a good theory. Might be right 👍🏻
I experienced that Boracay to Manila flight. They offset the passenger revenue with cargo revenue.
# 3 time 12:17 Colt is hooding up, the AC must be very good on your table.
It was. The vent was right over us and blowing down. It was pretty crowded too so not many other options for seating.
Love you from India Agra
🥰 we feel the love. Thanks for watching from Agra 🙏
New here. I love your vlogs.
Yay! Thank you!
@@AlwaysBeChanging Of course. I enjoy watching your family doing stuff together. Hi from Sacramento, California. Take care guys. i just came back from the Philippines for a short vacation but I went to visit my Mom in Sibuyan Island in Romblon.

Have you tried Mcdonald's in the Philippines? Mcdonald's Philippines offer Chicken Mcdo to compete with Jollibee's Chickenjoy. You should try it.
We will. Thanks! 🤩

husband home from 4 days in Blaine, Wash. - about 10 or 12 miles from the Canadian Boarder - No day is a good day for traffic in Manila.
I hCW 4 DAYS WORTH OF VIDEOS TO CATCH UP ON - MAKES ME KIND OF SKIP MINUTES TO GET THROUGH ALL OF THEM - EXCEPT YOURS.
I bet you know a lot of Washington Huskies fans since you live in WA. I am a huge Oregon Duck fan. The game yesterday was a battle but a tough loss for us.
As for the traffic, one of the things we love about BGC is that we can walk anywhere we need to go.
Totally amazing and beautiful 😍
Thank you! Cheers! 🫶
Jolly spaghetti... its target customers are kids..not a fan..i call it pasta with sugar sauce. Byrgers ..i usually dont get the regular or the yumburger.. id get the champ or the aloha... Chicken..well... Lots of people like it. My wife included.😅
We were blown away by how crispy and tasty the chicken is 😋
Jollibee spaghetti is a no-no for me, homemade is way more better!
For sure! Though this is a bit of a novelty because I can't think of a true fast food place in the US that has spaghetti!
13:04 There’s a bigger serving of peach mango pie for those who wants more 😊 But I prefer the smaller one because I can’t finish the bigger pie.
Good to know! 😊
Could hv taken a flight to sabah (north borneo) first then go to kl. Sabah is nearer to philippines and the "zoo" of malaysia.
We looked into all kinds of options. We wanted to visit the mainland Malaysia and save Borneo for another trip. We can’t wait to see all the amazing animals there!
Oh no! Not good CEBU Pacific. Why don't all their seats recline??
We’ve flown Scoot a few times and I don’t think their seats recline either - even on Dreamliners. 🤷🏼♂️
I don’t usually fly with cb pac because of the reason you gave...
We get it. I do have to say the price was great. But they ended up canceling the return flight so we had to use another airline anyway.
@@AlwaysBeChanging sorry you had to experience that...
# 2 jolly Bee or Chow King, you can get some good fast food - my wife will put ToFu in the spaghetti 0 I skip PH hot dogs, can't get over the color. Going to
be there in less that a month. Face Timed our maid tonight and tried to talk to the 3 dogs - mom and dad will be there soon - lots of treets.
I bet it will be good to get back!
11:09 Fastfood experience in the Philippines isn't complete without falling trays or cutlery. LOL 😄
😂😂🤣
Try Jollibee in the US most probably. Their portion will match your taste and expectations.
I think it’s only in CA but I could be wrong.
We have jollibee in Chicago! Love your channel! A big fan of yours here in Chicago❤️
@@winthom2249 👍🏻 👍🏻👍🏻
Jollibee in the US is not good (except for the chicken) and costs 4x more.
Just curious. Why is Regan not traveling with you guys? 😊
She goes to in-person school and we share custody with her mom. It’s her choice. But we hope to have her travel with us over the Summer.
I would get the yum burgers and bring them home. At home add onion lettuce and tomatoes with ketchup.
🤤
4:10 LOL
He’s going to be fluent in no time 😊
Jollibee is my childhood. I just remember now the last time I ate Jabee (short word) was last month. I'm gonna eat Jabee later 😭❤️ Jollibee Spaghetti is my favorite
Love the shortcut! 👏🏼
Jollibee? I like chicken sphag, big no too sweet Safe travel…
😋
Fazoli's in the United States is fast food Italian and actual decent if you dont try to compare it to a real Italian restaurant
Haven’t been there in ages! 🙌🏼
For me chicken = jollibee burgers and fries + Mcdonalds/Wendys/ Burger King
We tried the chicken burger last time. Loved it. But I think it’s because the chicken is so good and crunchy.
That’s what I don’t like about NAIA, the communication is really bad.
Shangri-la is malaysian owned. By Mr Robert kuok.
Great fun fact 👍🏻
@@AlwaysBeChanging airasia and grab are malaysian origin too
# 6 one final comment - I know your kids are privileged as with Knox and Mia but I bet Colt and Brooklyn did not feel so special at the end of that
long day. Is the goal worth the journey " ? where's that bed ?
😊 it’s sometimes hard to find challenging and adversity for them to overcome so we cherish and appreciate these travel days. I like seeing them have to move on when they’re tired and control their temper when they’re irritated. But the funny thing is, with all the complaining they do about various things, they almost never complain on a travel day. We are so lucky to travel with them.
They are definitely special kids - you could see on their faces that they wanted the day to end, but they catch their sleep when they can. ( i comment a lot some times, I like to make comments as the story moves along but don't feel like you need to answer back on each comment, takes a lot of time. ) I know you read all comments. 😄@@AlwaysBeChanging -
We like chatting with you! :) We love reading all comments because it means so much to us that someone can take the time to write about our episode. The least we can do is read them and we love replying when we can.@@janetceniza8091
I also enjoy commenting on your trips, especially in the PH since I have such a connection with it. Mom Duty is also a fun
watch and since they are now in Manila for
a couple of years. I don't know where they lived in Calif., house or condo. Did the kids have a yard to play in or not and do they miss the yard if they had one ? That's why we moved out of our Cebu condo and mom built a house so she could have a garden. But as we are really getting older, we might have to consider Senior housing or a condo again. ?? Yard work is not so much fun now. It is 10:20 pm Mon. 16 Oct. and raining.

Please go MELAKA MALAYSIA 🇲🇾
It looks gorgeous there!
Unfortunately, you can't find Jollibee in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
That’s okay we can just save Jolibee for when we’re back in PH 😊
What's the reason why your eldest is not always with you? Just curious
We have 50/50 custody of Reagan and since she goes to in-person school and doesn’t want to miss any days, we travel when she’s with her mom. 👍🏼
How do you afford all this?
Phil has a digital marketing agency he runs remotely. Sponsorships and add revenue helps. And we travel hack and find really great deals.
As far as I know Filipino spaghetti uses Banana ketchup instead of tomato. That’s why it’s sweeter
Oh interesting. That would make sense.
U guys missing something where's the chicken gravy 😂😂
We put it on 😊
I’m Filipino but I never like Filipino spaghetti it’s very sweet. I make my own an I buy Marinara spaghetti sauce with roasted garlic.
I (Erin) would have to agree with you. I wasn’t a fan of the spaghetti 🍝
Try carbonara. I dont like spaghetti too. It makes me vomit.

IMO Jollibee spaghetti is definitely NOT the right thing to order. Stick to the chicken. And yes, mixing hotdog and extra sugar into spaghetti is wrong on so many levels.🙃
We don’t disagree. We know a lot of people love the spaghetti but it’s not our favorite. The chicken is delicious though!!
