When I was a kid and went to school many many many years ago from first to 6th grade it was elementary school 7th and 8th grade was middle school and 9th through 12th was high School. 🙂
Here's some fun facts for you guys during the making of IT chapter 1 Bill Skarsgard was told by The producers not to get close to the children so they could get the children's realistic reaction to his pennywise persona also the children were the ones that picked their adult counterparts for IT chapter 2🙂
20:00 "I think he's making jokes because he's nervous" that's the most insight I've seen out of any reaction channel watching this film. Most of the time people just hate him because they forget he's like 12 and that's his defense mechanism lmao
Fun fact: that projector scene was the first time the kids saw Bill Skarsgård in full costume and makeup. So that screaming was a genuine reaction. Afterwards, he actually made sure they were all ok and that he didn't scare them too badly.
Jane, we love you over here on UA-cam!! Don’t worry about the vocal minority, people are much more willing to spread hate behind a screen for somebody they’ve never met but I’ve been loving this channel for years now and you are exactly HALF of the reason why that is because the BOTH of you together make it what it is!! Loved the reaction since horror is my favorite genre of movie and you two aren’t people that would ordinarily enjoy this type of movie!
It channels a person's worst fears to target them. It was not a zombie that came after Eddie (remember Eddie is a super hypochondriac), it was his ideas and fear of leprosy. I think this movie is so much fun because it's haunting, scary, and actually hilarious. Thank you for doing the reaction despite being spooked
"its weird everyone in the town is weird"... its true all the adults in the town act off and its because of the influence of IT it doesn't hunt the adults but just being near it has an effect.
I havent had such visceral reactions to horror movies in a long time. Your reactions remind me of how I used to watch movies when I was a child. You guys are so genuine, and I really commend you guys for staying true. Grateful I found your channel. I love most of your content, but especially the horror stuff haha
This turned out to be one of my favorite horror movies of all time, and easily the best in the last 5 years or so! After my wife and I went to see this, I was trying to quote Pennywise and I realized I can do his voice creepily well. So now when I want to mess with my wife, I will just just wait for the perfect opportunity, hide in a dark corner, and hit her with the "Hiya Georgie!"....I've been hit a few times 🤣
Omg when You say your back is tight is it almost over?! 😂 😂 ME TOO! The only reason I'm watching this is because I'm supposed to watch it with my friend Friday and I'm so scared of clowns. I figured I'd get the cliff's notes first. Thanks for watching it! Lol
Beverly didn’t kill her father, just rung his bell really hard. She went to Portland and he stayed in Derry, working as a janitor, grew old, and died alone, before Bev returned to Derry to help the gang confront Pennywise again.
This was WAY scarier than IT: CHAPTER 2 !!! I think because it was kids being attacked, as well as the introduction of Pennywise. I loved this reaction video you two !!! The scene where Ben Hanscom is in the library basement & the headless spectre chases him there was the first of multiple jump scare scenes from both of you was worth watching reaction video alone !!! The fact that the both of you got through this video, even as both of you kept watching the clock on when this video ended, is a testament of how stronger both are than the two of you know !!! WELL DONE !!! Loved this reaction video you two !!! Keep it going !!!
Jane and JV are amazing, to sit through a horror movie when you scare easily anyways. It’s totally worth it for us seeing Jane whack JV for putting her through this is top tier quality entertainment haha thank you both
IDK why, but that projector jump scare actually felt like it was in 3D when I saw it in theaters. They did a fantastic job and despite it being incredibly frightening every time I watch it, I also love to see just how awesome that looked.
I hadn’t realized I wasn’t subscribed! Some videos have popped up and I click but Janes comment on “they do hate me” made me sad 😭 no way girl many of us got your personality and it’s cool to see your reactions!
The actor who played the clown was in Deadpool 2 , he was the guy who spit acid out of his mouth and his dad was in Thor and Thor dark world he was Jane's friend. His older brother played in Tarzan with Samuel l Jackson
The legendary Skarsgård family from Sweden. I still remember Alexander (Tarzan, True Blood) being in cheesy daytime drama shows during the late 90s-early 2000s lol
Bill Skarsgard did an amazing job playing as IT (Pennywise the Clown). He did alot of his own stunts to. He also did the eye moment and lip smile. Such a good reaction. Can't wait to see what other movies you guys see.
Both the "IT" movies are actually pretty good for ppl who are just getting into horror films due to them not being gory & with a solid mix of funny + character building with jump scares (well imo that is lol)
In the book, the kids were acting as agents of an 'entity of good' they called the 'Turtle', which was visually referred to a couple times in this film. Also, in the book and the old T.V. miniseries, there was an element of magic at work when the kids were fighting Pennywise which helped them beat it back. They used a slingshot with silver 'bullets' to wound IT as opposed to the gun.
you guys ar way too genuine good people to see this kinda movies, especially jane . i love that from you guys!! i cry and laugh with you so much, thank you for being you!!!
when i learnt that it was a cosmic being whose mortal enemy is a giant cosmic turtle i couldnt take him seriously anymore. for some reason aliens or cosmic stuff doesnt get me. but when i thought he was like a supernatural ghost spirit thing i was terrified of it.
Ya'lls reaction through out this entire movie was hilarious. I love IT and IT: chapter 2. These movies are great. Ya'll should definately react to the 2nd movie.
The book goes into more detail about Patrick (the bully with the lighter). He's a total sociopath who murdered his baby brother, and really does deserve to be murdered by Pennywise, if anyone does. And he actually didn't die, but became one with IT.
20:57 Patrick (the guy with the deodorant and lighter) actually has untreated psychosis and if you read the book (which I don’t recommend btw god its good but so fucked up) you can find out more about him, he put puppy’s in freezers to see which one would survive the longest and that’s not even the worst thing hes done
I don't think it's explained in the film, but the 7 friends have probably just finished 7th grade (they are 13), and the bullies just finished 9th. In the book, Henry had been kept back a grade (at least once), so was actually in the same class as the 7 friends.
i know this is a horror movie and that's what most people focus on but to me the highlights are the character moments. so when you guys teared up at bill shooting the fake georgie, i felt that
Is it real or in his head? It's both, until one wins out. If he beats it and survives, the altered world stops being real for the time being. If he loses, he dies right there as gruesomely as the situation gets. IT only needs to feed on our flesh, but IT loves to feed on our fear. Fear is like a candy to IT. And when the balloon rose up in the car when they passed by the bullies about to butcher the kid, that was IT shown its influence on the adults by making them ignore that.
I watched this movie in October for the first time. It was scary as hell. Then I watched chapter 2 a month later. That was scary as hell too. I just rewatched this one today and I don't know what it was but it barely even scared me during the second viewing. I actually enjoyed it a lot more during the second viewing though. This is easily one of my favourite horror movies of all time and just one of my all time favourite movies in general. I love this movie. Gonna be rewatching chapter 2 next weekend and I'm looking forward to it. One of my favourite movie series of all time. I was absolutely terrified to watch these movies as I had heard how scary they we're and while they are scary, they're so good. It's currently 12:50am where I live right now and I wanna rewatch this movie again. Definitely a must watch if you're a fan of horror movies. You're missing out if you haven't seen it.
I guess i was raised in a different time... when you guys said thar georgy is to far from home i really had to scratch my head... since first class @ the age of 6 i walked every day 2,5 km to school and back.... it really was a different time 😲
Regarding Beverly and her dad, it's clearer in the book, but he has not molested her yet. The scene with the toilet top would have been the first time. The exact quote in the book that most strongly makes it clear is (paraphrased) "There was a scent in the house that summer that had never been there before. And it was only there when Beverly and her dad were home together." It's also subtextually stated by her greatest fear, blood and hair, both associated with the onset of puberty. She was scared of puberty because she could feel that puberty would mean something bad for her and her dad. I think you can also see it in the movie in Beverly's character. She doesn't exhibit the damage you'd expect of a young sexual abuse survivor. This is not to say that there was not emotional abuse, of course. It's influence on the Derry's adults dealt plenty of that to all of the Loser's Club. There's also a scene late in the book that makes it absolutely clear she's a virgin, but I won't be discussing it here for fear of banning.
In the book, adults can be influenced by Pennywise, but It usually only shows Itself to children, as It feels that childrens fears are stronger and that makes them tastier. >_>; lol Also in the book, it sort of alludes to the fact that It's influence is why the adults are so apathetic, despite the fact that children constantly go missing and the death rate is so high, even among adults. I will say that in the book the kids are a bit smarter. XD; They bring a gun with a silver bullet into that house and almost kill Pennywise (It takes the form of a werewolf, and silver bullets kill werewolves). The movie relies much more on the clown form, whereas in the book It takes a whole bunch of forms to scare kids. The weakness of It is that the imagination that stokes a kids fear, is the same imagination that can be used to fight back against It.
That’s not how switchblades work. If something is in front of it while deploying it will automatically break loose of the track it is on. It can be reset by pulling it all the way out and tugged on. But no it might knock something and leaves small scratch like barely a drop of blood but it won’t just keep going.

Bruh I can watch this movie with no lights and go to sleep 😂😂
The book is so much better

This was the highest grossing horror film of 2017, making $700 million dollars against a $40 million dollar budget.
And highest grossing R-rated movie, before Joker
@@CrystalLake1995 and Deadpool
@@CrystalLake1995 I thought passion of Christ was hella r rated af n grossed highly too.. 😂..but I get you. IT did pretty well.
@@CrystalLake1995 Joker was shit trash
Actually with advertising the budget was more like 70m..
jane is so controlled how she is terrified but also concious enough to be terrified quietly to not wake their kids is so cute
Right! I get so immersed id wake up my whole damn house!
Haha this is my fav movie and I’m nine years old 😂😊
20:00 "I think he's making jokes because he's nervous" that's the most insight I've seen out of any reaction channel watching this film. Most of the time people just hate him because they forget he's like 12 and that's his defense mechanism lmao
“SHUSH THE CHILDREN” had me in tears 😂😂😂😂😂
Me too! 😂😂😂
YEP...ONLY a Parent would freak out that much.....
😂😂😂😂...
lol he got spanked.
😂😂😂
The “shush! The children!” I’d the midst of being terrified was amazing lol.
I love the parent “kid switch” of using words like frick and shoot
Fun fact: that projector scene was the first time the kids saw Bill Skarsgård in full costume and makeup. So that screaming was a genuine reaction. Afterwards, he actually made sure they were all ok and that he didn't scare them too badly.
I'm not even a quarter of the way through & this is easily my favorite reaction for IT!!
The younger reactors are way harder to be scared xD
"JUSTINNN!"Between Jane trying to quietly jump out of her seat in fear and Justin almost waking the kids, they're brilliant.
Same they make it more funny
6:00 Made me crack up 😂
"Shush!! The Children!" 😂
Jane, we love you over here on UA-cam!! Then that what made Jane and JV some pretty brave people. Cuz in a way, they did the thing that scared them. 😟 I don't think I've ever done that..
The two of you are very brave. I think as loving parents, a horror film about a monster that devours innocent children would be hard to watch.
They should steer clear of Sinister then.
Should watch The Babadook, tho.
It has nothing to do with bravery
@@Howard0Chris it does
@@taliyahrose it really doesn’t.
its a movie. its not real, why would it be hard to watch? lol
You know Jane, we do this just because of the casual sadistic joy of seeing you two get scared to death (not literally of course ) 😃
Freaky, but also rather funny. The gazebos line always kills me.
🤔 I wonder if that line was accidental, but they just left it in there for some comedic purpose 🤔
@@justaguy2701 It wasn't, the people actually were basically forcing the actor to say it, and he was like "but this is my serious moment"
We need a counter for every time she says "Justin!" hahaha

“HOLY CRAP!”
“What did you see?”
“FINGERS!”
😂
When Justin cussed I died! I don’t think I ever heard him cuss. I love y’all reactions so much!!
Fun Fact:The actor who plays Georgie is Jackson Robert Scott,a fellow Long Beach boy and yes he can still naturally do the "You`ll float too" voice.

Best part is in the beginning Jane saying "Sush the children" like she isn't going to be screaming the entire movie lol
"Shut Up! The children!"~ Jane 2024 for president! This had me rolling 😂
I love how she keeps saying "justin!" like he directed all these movies.
17:44 The bit of tissue in Justins collar:👁👄👁
You know it’s real when Justin and Jane are cussing.😂
Having read the book at High School, I was excited to see this movie ever since I heard it was coming out
Same. I read "IT" in 7th grade about a week b4 the TV release. Loved the original (John Ritter & Tim Curry). REALLY loved the reboot! 💜
How'd you like the miniseries?
If it makes you guys feel better, the second chapter isn't quite as scary lol. At least in my opinion. Probably a bit more suspenseful than scary.
Facts
Chapter 2 is basically a comedy with thriller elements
True
I am about to watch chapter 2
If it makes you guys feel any better, this was an amazing reaction. XD

Don't know if this was mentioned yet
1) IT doesn't eat fear, fear makes "meat" taste better, like a seasoning
2) IT is a lovecraftian monster
IDK why, but that projector jump scare actually felt like it was in 3D when I saw it in theaters. They did a fantastic job and despite it being incredibly frightening every time I watch it, I also love to see just how awesome that looked.

"Shush the children" was everything I didn't know I needed.
Well you're too invested now to NOT watch IT Part 2! :) Can't wait!!
A year later and you still have people watching this! Also, at age 13, the kids are probably finishing 7 or 8th grade. Funny Justin thought 4th or 5th
This was an amazing reaction 😂 definitely deserves a thumbs up
I personally love people getting scared by a movie, because no one actually gets hurt
She said “Hush the children” while a child on screen has his arm bitten off😂

The garage slideshow scene was the first time all the kids have ever seen pennywise in costume so their fear and reaction was genuine.
Actually that’s incorrect

This is one of the best Stephen King adaptations and the best horror film of 2017 i love IT!
I've spent way too many sleepless nights because of Stephen King and this book in particular. I appreciate your reaction.

A tequila shot every time she yells justin! XD
I'd be out COLD not
It's 6pm I shouldn't be watching this rn 😰 But I just can't wait to hear Jane saying omg Justin 🤣
Being an '80s baby, Child's Play did it for me. Totally scarred me 😂
