It IS based on a true story! but according to the Parren family, the experience was 10x worse than the movie portrayed. Andrea Parren - the eldest daughter wrote three books - The House of Darkess The House of Light Volume 1,2,3 that are about the REAL experience at the Arnold Estate in Rhode Island, US. A couple currently live in this house and allow shows like "Ghost Hunters" "Ghost Adventures" etc UA-camrs, and other curious people that dare to learn about the REAL story about the farmhouse, which details are still being added onto the story. Although I totally understand why others may not enjoy the genre, I'm not a fan of gore/slasher style horror myself so I get it, please don't feel bad or pressured! We all have limits and thats okay lol thank you guys for trying, def something to be proud about considering how terrified you were.
So this is based on a real story. The Warren's really did do this stuff.....mind you the movies based on their work are wildly exaggerated. The Annabell doll (at the start) is really a raggedy Anne doll much less scary. The room in the Warren's house with all the cursed/haunted item's is now a museum you can visit. Also the current owners of the house in this movie will let you visit and give you a tour and do a ghost hunt with you or let you do one alone.
For horror fans like myself, there is a draw to them for various reasons. For me horror is just another genre to tell a story. Sometimes it is done well, sometimes not. Some like gore, some like jump scares. Some like religious horror, slashers, ghosts, serial killers, scifi, or even comedy. One that is spooky but not scary (more of a dark mystery) which you two may like is Odd Thomas. Has a dark side (a guy who can see ghosts and helps them out) but is more based on mystery. This is based on a True Story. So is the movie The Possession its based on a Dybuuk Box that was purchased on Ebay. But in the movie it was bought at a Garage Sale. Its a really good movie.
I had the pleasure of going to the Warren Museum in 2014 and meeting Lorraine Warren. Spirts and demons are real. Why would the Catholic church have the rite of Exorcism if it wasn't real? Also, I have had personal experiences with the Paranormal so I know that is real. Now Hollywood has changed some things to add more jump scares and creepiness but the basic story is true. One of the things that was changed was Annabelle which is an ordinary Raggity Anne doll and not that ridiculous thing they use. (I took several pictures of Annabelle while in her case and when I looked at my camera later, her hands had changed positions.) Also during the exorcism, nobody floated and turned upside down. (However they did have home movies of the Canadian man being ecorcised and his eyes were bleeding, an upside cross did appear under his skin.) If you are believers in the Paranormal, no evidence is needed. If you don't believe, no amount of evidence will convince you. The only way to change your mind is if you have your own experience. Go on some local ghost hunts in your town and eventually you will have your own experiences.
The really terrifying part about this particular case is that the movie is a watered down version of what happened. The real events were far, far worse. So much so that the screenwriter & director HAD to tone down and/or leave out some things. What the Perron family went through was nothing short of a living hell.
6:50 ignorance is bliss. Having experienced paranormal stuff growing up in an old creepy house,,, i wish i can unsee, unhear, unsmell, and unfeel a lot of the aggresive scary experiences of my childhood.
Oh! It's real. This movie is based on the trilogy memoirs, "House of Darkness, House of Light." by Andrea Perron (The eldest daughter of the real Perron family.) There are also dozens of videos here on YT of that very house (The Conjuring House/The Old Arnold Estate) Check them out!
I just recently watched the conjuring 3 and I think it was pretty good and worth watching as well as the second one. In my opinion the first one is the scariest.
Oh boy, if you guys think THIS one was bad, strap yourselves in. Really hope you continue down the horror trail you've started on. The Conjuring universe is a wild ride.
All these people are real. Ed Warren died some years ago & Lorraine just died in the last few years. The real Annabelle doll is a large Raggedy-Ann doll. The box she is kept in is exactly like the one created for the movie. The movies are based on the case files of the Warrens, ampted up in places for "Hollywood". You need to watch The Conjuring 2 & 3, the Annabelle movies & The Nun. All the movies in The Conjuring Universe are all connected one way or another. Yes we all love watching reactors get scared by the horror movies we all love.
Isnt this the house that I've been hearing that's been up for sale irl? But yes. These conjuring films are all based on true events. The Warren's are real and they have a museum people can come and visit to see all these memorabilia they kept. Annabelle in real life is actually jut a plain Raggedy Anne dolls from the 70s
*We need more of this do all the spin-off starting with...* *Annabelle* - skip this one *Annabelle 2* - this one was good *The Nun* - my favorite *Conjuring 2* *Conjuring 3*
I understand a lot of people don’t believe in paranormal and I didn’t either until it happened to me so I think it’s all about actually experiencing things for it to be real in my opinion. When it happens you don’t want to believe it neither because it’s such a strange experience that u can’t explain
Watching the conjuring over n over again that leg pulling when the children was asleep remind me of my own experience as well back when i was in primary school. I was sent to boarding school. It just happened once thoe but still it's unforgettable. I couldn't think of any of us there would pull a prank like that in the middle of the dead silent night. The thing is, i just lying on my bed pretend like nothing happens when i obviously awake by the strong pulling & i could feel pain on my toe, like someone or something sucking the blood out of it. Wake up the next morning checking my toe if there's any trace of blood of cutting. But it was clean like nothing happens. I didn't tell anyone bout that experience not even my dorm mate. I could be dreaming but am pretty sure it's not ..
The real Lorraine Warren cameo’s in the movie u can see her at when the actors playing ed and lorraine is discussing the 3 phases something . Theres no other adorable old lady in the frame and thats the Real Lorraine Warren
I always hear people saying they hate this game and why would anyone play that game with the clapping but I used to play this game with my sisters when I was little. Except we did it in the dark, when electricity would go because the whole house would be dark. It wasn't an everyday game. But yeah I do agree doing it near the stairs is not wise but we didn't have stairs in our old house so it was fine. It was fun and strangely took the scariness of a blackout away because we were having fun.
Oh Annabelle is a real doll. The Warren's have a museum with these item in real life. The Warren's are really interesting family. Alot of the stuff happened in real life, but the movies amplified some of it. It all depends in how much you believe in the Paranormal.
“So This universe, these things are real” well that is our universe, Ed and Lorraine actually have that artifact room in their museum in Connecticut. These are true stories, these things are based on real families. It is not made up but it is twisted for the movies
I really don't like horror movies so tend to avoid them, Grave Encounters scared me for weeks after. Which is odd as I've been on dozens of paranormal investigations myself. I did watch the Conjuring trilogy though and enjoyed them so I'd look forward to them if you reacted to them. But yes, although based on true investigations and happenings there is a lot of exaggerations to the movies. Sadly never had anything as bad as this happen to us.

The really terrifying part about this particular case is that the movie is a watered down version of what happened. The real events were far, far worse. So much so that the screenwriter & director HAD to tone down and/or leave out some things. What the Perron family went through was nothing short of a living hell.
We dont like scary movies but we're gonna try this one.
The Conjuring.
Oh dear lord. RIP.
All of us that watch your guy's channel saw the thumbnail and said "oh this is gonna be good hahaha"
6:50 ignorance is bliss. Having experienced paranormal stuff growing up in an old creepy house,,, i wish i can unsee, unhear, unsmell, and unfeel a lot of the aggresive scary experiences of my childhood.
take a shot every time she says "Justin" 😂😂
Oh! It's real. This movie is based on the trilogy memoirs, "House of Darkness, House of Light." by Andrea Perron (The eldest daughter of the real Perron family.) There are also dozens of videos here on YT of that very house (The Conjuring House/The Old Arnold Estate) Check them out!
JUSTIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNN honestly, sorry guys, this is insanely fun to watch. your fans are gonna want more.
lmao how many times...did she yell JUSTIN!!!!! lmao
I just recently watched the conjuring 3 and I think it was pretty good and worth watching as well as the second one. In my opinion the first one is the scariest.
You guys are clever as hell. I saw that Annabelle doll in the background. I saw that shit.
Oh boy, if you guys think THIS one was bad, strap yourselves in. Really hope you continue down the horror trail you've started on. The Conjuring universe is a wild ride.
After seeing her reaction to this, you guys need to watch It Chapter 2!
You guys were so intense at the end I love it , that's exactly my reaction too Haha
Take a shot everytime she says "Justin" lol
*We need more of this do all the spin-off starting with...*
*Annabelle* - skip this one
*Annabelle 2* - this one was good
*The Nun* - my favorite
*Conjuring 2*
*Conjuring 3*
I really want to see a scream marathon with you guys now lol
I could be dreaming but am pretty sure it's not ..
she’s said “justin” in so many different ways 😂 im cracking up
The real Lorraine Warren cameo’s in the movie u can see her at when the actors playing ed and lorraine is discussing the 3 phases something . Theres no other adorable old lady in the frame and thats the Real Lorraine Warren
"They had flashlights in the 70's, right?"
Lol. The flashlight dates back to 1899.
I think this video has your record for the most "Justin!!" in it lol
You guys rule
One of the Perrons wrote a book and they said their experience in the home was scarier than the movie depicted.
Can we get a count how many times she said Justin 😂😂 love u all ❤️❤️
The real Annabelle doll is a ragedy Ann doll
I’m sure someone already mentioned that the real Annabelle doll was just a raggedy Anne doll
24:21 the one on the bottom left of the circle is the actual Lorraine Warren in real life
I mean if you guys can get through this movie you can get through anything. Arguably the scariest movie ever made.
My favourite part is Justin asking "Who's Ed?"
🤣🤣🤣🤣... at the END of the movie 🤣🤣🤣. I love him 🥰🥰 #ItsUsuallyMe
It all depends in how much you believe in the Paranormal.
yall should watch "the haunting" the actress who plays the mother in this plays the main character in "the haunting"
Yup. This.
The way footage glitches when she says, ghosts and demons aren’t real, right)))
“So This universe, these things are real”
well that is our universe, Ed and Lorraine actually have that artifact room in their museum in Connecticut.
Based on a true story means based on a true story. It’s real, and so are ghosts.
Ya know, we didn’t live in caves in the 70’s. We had electricity and flashlights and TVs and everything! Haha
The Conjuring has alist of connected movies. The Nun, The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2, Annabelle (2-3 total Annabelle movies), The curse of La Llorona.
