- Опубліковано 6 вер 2024
- I've recently released the second Paddy’s Golf Tips video in the series on helping every golfer achieve a single-figure handicap. After the first tip on movement and rhythm in the swing, the next step is to find the ground with the club. I discuss a basic drill to achieve this and the ideal ball position while using different clubs! Stay tuned for more lessons!

One of the great golfers of his generation that hasn't let the millions go to his head. What a wonderful ambassador of this beautiful game!
I dont know if people realize just how valuable this series, and all of the tips, are. Here we have a multiple majors winner just teaching people how to play better golf, insanenly valuable.
I couldn’t have said it better
And it’s FREE! Ty Paddy. It was nice meeting you a few years ago at the Masters.
100% An absolute legend on here just chatting away with hugely sensible and valuable tips for anyone who wants to improve their game. A true ambassador for the game and loves what he does.
Thanks Paddy - I hope you win the Open (again!) 🎉
He did really well !!
Top 20 wasnt it? At his age - great job by Paddy! I was pulling for Rosey in the end!
Paddy’s golf tips - it’s the best !! I’ve stopped watching all other golf instruction on UA-cam as it confuses me. Gripping the club in the fingers, swinging the club back and thru swish has made such a difference that I recently shot 2 under 70.. that’s all I did. Can’t thank Paddy enough. Cheers from New Delhi, India 🥂
Been waiting for Part 2 and here it is!!!Love the 'idea" of watching the divot. Can hit some balls now! YEAH!!! Paddy ..good luck over the weekend at TROON!!!
Best coach on UA-cam, win the Open Padraig!
That tip of keeping head down to see the divot is golden. I have a habit of looking for the ball in the air before ive hit it and dumping my arms trying to hit it blind. Had one round recently where i piped everything (except for holing puts) and shot 87. When i look back, its because i focused on staying in the shot longer and focused on where my low point was. Since then, the best ive shot is 95 😭 because ive gone back to my habits of looking for the ball too early! Ball striking is pretty good so remembering this tip, if i could stop with the putting yips, i should be low 80's. Paddy has got me from 28 to 17.3 in the past year 🙌🙌
patty, I sent one of your videos to my brother who was at the range , he texted me before, holyshit I found my swing watching that video, haha , and hes a scratch golfer, looking for more power, a , very consistent good ball striker, but not much distance, he said he did a few warm up swings like you do , when you swing away, before addressing the ball.Outstanding baseball player his whole life, he brought that swing down on some tilts and turns and there you have it, he was so F,,, happy. Thanks, Patty , helping guys in New York . You're the man. 🫵🐐
Rooting for you at the open. So many of the big names didn't make the cut. You're rock solid. Have fun and show them how it's done 👍👍👍
I could listen to him all day. He's so passionate about the game , and that helps him deliver so much useful information in a short space of time.
Been working on Lesson 1 since it came out 2 weeks ago. My index has gone from 16 on July 1 to 14.9 on July 19. Ready to get started on Lesson 2!
Groundskeepers nightmare 😂😂😂
You should see MY divots. They are starting to charge me by the acre now...
Met him recently in the Aer Lingus lounge at Dublin Airport. A really nice fella and took the time to write an autographed message to my dad and a photo. Great ambassador for Ireland and for golf 👏
13 handicapper here. Recently went away on a golf trip after not playing much over the last several months and shot 110 both days! I’m a decent athlete that takes to most sports, except golf, so I’m looking to “simplify” my game. This series looks ideal! Can’t wait to watch the rest of Paddy’s tips 👌🏻
Update from my previous comment, been to the range today and absolute flushed my 4 and 5 iron which is almost unheard of for me. Just goes to show how much we forget the basics on our UA-cam quest for answers. Focusing on low point control fixed my vicious hook in three swings. I'm now convinced that ensuring the basics are dialled in is far better than working on getting one extra degree of supination in the little toe on your right foot during the first 2 inches of the downswing whilst holding the lag in my third belt buckle!
Thanks Paddy. It’s when the ball is on the ground that really gets me! Soon as it’s there all I see is the ball
You have been one of my greatest influence since I first started playing golf. Your attitude towards the game is contagious. Just discovered the new help series and am super excited to learn. Thank you.
Excellent play at the Open!!
Congratulations on your performance at the Open. You outplayed the likes of Rory, Bryson and Ludvig. Very impressive. A tribute to your skill and mental toughness. I think we would learn a great deal from a video which explains how you played the Open. Cheers!
Your tips helped me cut my hcap from 25 to 20 over the last year. My short game improved a lot. Thanks Paddy
Slow swings, ball further foward: My experience, but never heard anybody say it before. Thanks!
There's no way I'm not going to get better with Paddy as my coach!!
Thanks for taking your time to teach us, much appreciated and very classy!
This man is currently tied for 25th at the British Open at Royal Troon. Ahead of the likes of Max Homa, Cameron Young, Jason Day, last year’s Open champ Brian Harman, Brooks Koepka, Matt Fitzpatrick, etc. Truly remarkable, Paddy. What an incredible talent and thank you for sharing all of this content, for free!!
Appreciate you spending time to educate us, you're a legend and there's a lot of folks out here that really benefit from your videos. Thanks Paddy.
Great "general concept" stuff for everyone! Thank you for releasing these. Can you please put these (the intro, Movement, Setup) into a "Achieving a Single Figure Handicap" Playlist for easy reference as you add more? This will be great to share with beginner friends.
Great Work.
I have two family members learning the game. They will follow these videos for the next 6-12 months while they start the game.
Teach them that secret to golf is the club is not designed to hit a ball like in baseball or tennis.
It is designed to brush or cut the grass.
If they can brush the grass nicely where the ball is, they can play golf.
Aloha Padrig! Mahalo for your fantastic lessons and you are a joy to watch and hear.
Great video - I am a single figure player but swinging poorly so using this as a reset - thank you
This is the only you tube golf training content to listen to
You are such a good teacher Paddy. Thank you for the content
Congratulation with T22 The Open 2024! You are my hero!
Brilliant stuff and am working through the stuff methodically
Golf tips for the masses. Love it
Paddy..Tearin up the place. Ha. Thanks for another video.
At least now when I’m chunking up the garden I can tell the misses paddy told me to 😂
Great play at the Open 🎉
Absolutely love the lessons... thanks Paddy
Nice one Padraig - Was wondering if you could speak to the importance of having fitted clubs in terms of finding low point?
So I am an 11.9 index desperately trying to get to single figure index - my issue is consistency (my good days are great, my bad days are horrific!) Hoping to use your tips to find the missing link!
Hey Paddy, I’d like to see more about course management and also dealing with a two way miss. Idk if you’re still taking requests but it seems relevant to scoring. Love the vids I watch them all
Nice👍🏻
Really appreciate your content here, think it helps all of us. In this video, I really liked "watch the divot", haven't heard it before and its a great simple thing to focus on. Best of luck this week (Senior Open: Carnoustie).
Legend!!
YEAH PADRAIG YOU ARE GREAT
Brilliant video paddy👏👏👏
I’d really love a video of how to place our arms on our chest.
Well done making the cut in The Open… now chase the pack down and use your grit and experience… but don’t beat Lowry … I’ve got money on him !!
Great lesson… ball>turf is “ the secret in the dirt “
This is great
Paddy is the gift that keeps giving 🙌🏻
Play well thanks again for the instruction
Go Paddy.
Just got thrown off my local course for doing these drills on the practice area. How was I to know it was for putting only?! I won’t be joining there in a hurry!
Thank you
I’d be happy to be your Guinea pig . I think it would be great to have a real amateur on these videos.
Paddy would this practice plan be the same for a 30 handicap ?
It's for anyone who wants to get down to single digits, in my mind at least
Fucking recking the place 😂
This what “growing the game” actually looks like.
My big problem, is strike.
Especially when trying to compress the ball.
Thanks for these lessons Paddy.
I wonder how much of an influence Bob Torrance was on you? Did you win 3 majors with him?
Did looking at one of the spot helped you?
Hey Paddy! are you looking for a video editor for high-quality edits? let me know, if you’re interested.
This video is as close as I have ever gotten to jailbait.. Chipping?!
You shouldnt be wearing shirts that neat😂
When an Irish man talks, you’d better listen
I've suspected for awhile that all high hcp and most mids would benefit greatly from exclusively playing a 3/4 swing for full shots.
Easier said than done, however. Gotta contend with your ego 👀
Making cuts and dropping vids
I hoped this would be a great series, but so far terrible...
🇦🇺❤️☘️🏌️♂️
Watch for the divot… just makes sense
Thanks Paddy
