Hi, did the text scrolling is always "slow" (low fps) ? And where do you find the option for AoD ? You have mark that Pai is supported but it is not, a mistake or my source is not good ? I've also see that min brightness is really high for night, true ?
It always feels as shown on the video. AOD is there - in the display settings.
And yes - brightness is pretty high at night.

No, they won't fit.
Would you recommend the other one called 70 mai that has screen size of 1.69 vs this? As i currently use mi band 6 my only issue with it is if you have ur hand squeezed somewhere it resets your watch face to something else and basically wanted a square version in shape.
Lately the importance of smartphone apps is more and more important. So I'd stay with a device that uses Mi Fitness.

Yes, you can have this info in real time in workout mode if you have connection to your phone's GPS.
Can I activate maps (google or petal or any) on my phone, then watch will navigate me? Not whole maps, just left right, distance and so on.
Thanks, Mihail, for another great fitness tracker review. I didn't even know this one was coming until I saw your headline on it, and was also sort of stunned, as you seemed to be, to note that it seems to be nearly a exact copy of the Honor and Huawei Bands 6. When I chose between THOSE two, about a year or more ago, I decided to go with Honor, as I knew Huawei was notorious for screwing Americans (possibly all of North America) out of access to the watchface store on their watches and associated phone apps. I never could hack my way around that limitation.
That has never been a problem on the Mi Bands, and while I realize the Redmi Smart Band Pro is not quite a Xiaomi product, I'm hoping to have many watchface choices on the Redmi Smart Band Pro. I ordered it from China about a month ago, and hope to see it later this week.
I've mostly liked the Honor Band 6, but the watchface issue, in addition to the fact the watch LITERALLY SHUTS DOWN with too much direct sunlight, I'll gladly put it in the drawer if the RSBP works out as I hope it does. I am carefully watching the Mi Band 7, which is now available for pre-order, and the specs have been revealed but, even though it has crept up a bit in size, resolution, and battery capacity, I still prefer the form factor of the RSBP. Fingers crossed!
Oh, this unexpected shutting down is very unusual about Honor Bands. I am huge fan of the series myself. Strongly recommend to ask for repair/replacement.

@@TechMishka I received the Redmi a few days and, so far, I really like it. Glad to report no U.S. limitation on watch faces. The selection is a bit limited so far, but I hope that will improve soon... and there may even be a 3rd party resource.

Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro has a GPS in-built which works pretty well in the Global version. Other than that - features are quite similar.
I do like the design of the non-pro though 🙃

Good stuff. I bought it at a discount, it cost me 34 eur here in Serbia, i find it was a great deal. How much it would be in Bulgaria? I believed this was a slightly adjusted MB6, glad to find that this one has advanced logic to the MB6 and also bigger display.

Mihail, I watched your review of the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro previously and they look almost identical, but Redmi is half the price. I haven't, but I both of them are anyways quite good about HR tracking.

Yes, you can read the words, but the character count is limited.
The UI is ... alright, refresh rate is also fine.
@@TechMishka Thank you, because I noticed in the video that some of the words were getting cut off by the bezels. For example: 'Notification' is visible as 'Notifica....' , 'Learn more' is visible as 'rn more'. So, I'm not really sure why they designed it like that. I would prefer complete words in small letters than incomplete words in big letters.

The Mi Watch Lite was an unmitigated disaster. Its heart rate reading were completely unreliable. I believe the designer choose an underdamped time constant for the measuring system in order to mimic the transient response of a ecg type hrm. With the poor threshold detection for the heart rate, the net result was a fitness tracker that hunts wildly for the correct heart rate reading. The primary purpose of a fitness tracker is to help the user get fit. When the basic function of a reliable HRM is lost, all the other fancy features are worthless as well. The Xiaomi Wear Lite app is another disaster with time zones improperly accounted for. Hopefullyt, Xiaomi and its partners will be more responsible in future. Once bitten, forever shy!

Well - I think Xiaomi have used there a standard kind of HR monitor, so might have been a combination of factors leading to the issues that you had.
It's hard to get really perfect results from watches, but if you are looking for better accuracy, I guess Garming may be somewhat more reliable.
@@TechMishka It is a compromise made by the designers. Photosensor type HRM will not match the transient response of the ECG HRM. My other band is the Huawei Band 2 Pro in which the designer chose to have the reading critically damped so it settles to a steady state reading in reasonable time instead of hunting widely like in the Mi Watch Lite.
For my heart rate to reach 195 bpm on a slow jog for almost a minute and then plunging to a heart rate of 90 bpm is ridiculous. More so when I am over 60 years old. A heart rate of 195 would mean me writing this from a morgue.
The type of sensor chosen by Xiaomi is unlikely to be different from other manufacturers. Their designer choose to fool the consumer instead of working to the capability of the hardware. Xiaomi can choose to update their firmware instead of continuing the charade.
I was just wondering how you got that watch face on the band, because my watch didn't come with that watch face and the icons are different too. Can you please share where you bought the watch from and what region did you enter in the app and if you used any third party apps because my watch faces are different.
This is the Global version. The watch faces are available in the Mi Fitness smartphone app.

I heard you saying that it doesn't have GPS but then how does it track where you go like you also said was done after gps is activated on it?
It uses the accelerometer and gyro sensors. If you start an activity and your smartphone is around, the tracker can use the smartphone's GPS signal in order to collect more accurate data.
Can you please confirm if it has altimeter? Also, I've heard from one user that xiaomi wear doesn't share all the data with Strava such as heart rate. Could you please confirm that too?
I haven't tried the Strava integration myself...

I am using this band and my main complaint with this is that it doesn't do all day continuous SPO2 monitoring like many others bands. And the Mi Fitness app on iPhone can only write to Apple's Fitness app, but not read from it. Which means that if I am walking with my iPhone but not wearing the band, my steps won't be accounted for. This is not a problem with Huawei Health app which intelligently combines fitness data from phone and band.
Also, the fitness app on my iPhone is acting weird after I started using this band. It says that I completed my move goal even if I haven't!
Sounds like it is not a great match to iPhones...
As for SpO2 tracking - most trackers need the hand to be in a still condition for 30+ seconds to get an accurate measurement.
From the video, i think the display bof this band Is not vibrant enough, i hav been using mi band 6 for around 3 months and It looks better vibrant than this one. What Do you think?

Yeah! Both are quite similar indeed. The Honor Band 6 seems to have better display and I think - nicer scrolling performance.
In terms of health tracking, probably I'll give the edge to Honor Band 6 as well.
The apps for both are good, however Huawei Health has limitations on iOS devices.
@@TechMishka Honor Band 6 have a very bad limitation. when u start an sport activity, the band wont show notifications from phone anymore , i.e from whatsapp/sms/...
and i donno if this new redmi band also behave in similar manner, which would be disappointing.
I think if you don’t have a huawei phone then better to go with Xiaomi, as even in android you will found some features limited.

Can you track your running exactly without having your phone with you? I have tried only go running with the band, then tried to synch after the workout with the Xiaomi wear/Strava, but did not show my direction.( on the map)
For that purpose a GPS is needed. So you may look around for Amazfit BIP S, Mi Watch Lite or similar.

Pretty decent results in my opinion. Not as accurate as chest based mounts, but fairly good for wrist-based measuring.

Does it have a sophisticated screen lock? I own Mi Band 6. At 3:07 your band is exposed, but I wear a jacket. With jacket on, my band does many strange things, and it turns off my workout! I am waiting for Mi Band 7. Hopefully it will have a button!
It has the option for a screen lock, yes. I often experience the same issue when training with soccer gloves.
@@TechMishka The screen lock in Mi Band 6 is not good enough. (There is no screen lock in workout mode anyway). Swipe your finger from the bottom (or wait until your jacket does it), and the screen does many different things. I bought Amazfit GTS 2E, in which workouts can be locked, and then unlocked only after long-pressing of the side button. I am very happy.
