Huge round bump makes sense, kind of. But seems like it will be dated super fast. EDIT: Silly comments. I dumped apple years for android. I'm preferring my S21 Ultra, but I love all this competition because it's not like Samsung or Apple are the good guys.
my moto g5s plus has that same bump and I think it still looks great now, 5 years later
Yeah until iPhone makes one then its "oh my got so ingenious!"
More room for scratches
Mate 30 Huawei still looks great
the round lens in professional cameras also look dated for you?
When Xiaomi finally does make the (not mistake) move of making software updates as long as the current Samsung commitment, that's when Samsung's likely going to have really serious competition on their hands.
Xiaomi is a real competitor to Samsung for a while even without so long software support :D
I agree with you except the last line, if Xiaomi enhanced and stablized its system it will win the competition. Actually I turned from IOS to Xiaomi Android and I thank god that I haven't invested many money on Xiaomi cuz even if the specs are higher but the system integrity and stability are so bad. This experience has taught me the importance of inclusion the system in your decision to purchase.

I'm still rocking a MI 10 Ultra and after 2 years, still love it. Best phone I've every had and 120w charger is epic just charging it from flat in just over 30mins.
Strange my Find x5 pro is changing with 85 w in about the same time from flat 30 min
@@dragoscseplo1829 Different battery capacity possibly? Either way, it's far from slow. Welcome to world of quick charging. 👍
Is battery life affected or nah
I'm using xiaomi 10s now,in China.10 ultra is really a nice phone, and I'm glad that xiaomi is a Chinese mobile phone brand.
still mi4 here
Love your videos! One extra thing I'd like to see is a few more night shot and night video samples, as well as the slow motion capabilities. For night shots, I mean real night, like dark areas lit up by little more than stray or moonlight, instead of the typical scene with dark areas around plenty of bright areas of artificial light. With most phone cameras now, even those areas are bright enough to trigger the cameras to dial down their exposure, obscuring the artifacts and maximum capabilities of the hardware and software. I've been using these methods to evaluate Huawei vs Samsung and my older LG in near pitch black, astrophotography, and Northern Lights photography.
Keep making awesome videos!
The fact that this video was absolutely great in production makes me think that tech videos don’t necessarily have to be shot in a studio. Awesome video Arun and more outdoorsy tech videos please

I like how you leave it to us. While giving us as many details as possible, you still say it's up to us what's most important.
Samsung S22 Ultra feels more complete, for all intents and purposes.
Yeah... That's right, it's definitely an "all in one package".

Now xiaomi kills again samsung 😊😅
They always miss it in the details and think they will get away with it. But it's the reason they never really win. A 1080p front camera is a deal-breaker for a phone of this cost in 2022.
Yes, my Snapchat and Instagram really benefits from 1080p camera. /s

Some of us never use the front camera but will walk over hot coals for a portable dslr-like dupe
Unless u r a photographer or video enthusiast 1080p still is a good option!

Shocked to see that photos & that video switch of you recording yourself from your regular dslr cameras to Xioami is wow.
The Xiaomi 12S Ultra is good, but I just think I’d prefer the S22 Ultra.
It looks cleaner, it has an S-Pen, better display and potentially better support.
Edit: Apparently there is a war in the replies. Proceed with caution…
S-pen has no functional use. its just for users to say "my phone has a pen"

Really good video, wonder if you could compare SAR values in your phone reviews.
i love how xiaomi has put in the effort to make a a phone that's literally as Ultra as it gets on the spec sheet, but it doesn't quite feel complete and consumer focused yet. don't get me wrong the phone is insane but as a casual smartphone user the S22 Ultra edges on the 12S Ultra, plus it has the S-pen too.
You are completely right, Its not worth more than 300$,
Do not forget about software support. And service.

Shouts to you for shouting out Greenville NC . You're at town commons very nice !
The design is cool, it makes it look like a proper camera. At times you can see the beautiful Leica colors shine through, but it’s very wonky. Hopefully that is fixable via software.
Even with a camera of this size, I still prefer the final quality of the Galaxy S22 ultra. Xiaomi still needs to improve a lot, many numbers to impress and the final results always leave something to be desired 😓
I’ve used s21 ultra and xiaomi 12 pro and i found xiaomi 12 pro camera better.
Forget color science i dont care that much cuz no camera can exactly represent real world and that being said,
On s21u it felt like i was clicking pic from a typical smartphone camera
On 12 pro the photos look like taken from a DSLR
A lot? They're pretty close.
So Samsung oversharpening is to your taste I assume?

It's a shame Xiamoi and basically every other Chinese brand simply isn't avaliable where I live, the US. We're basically Apple or Samsung over here. I love my S22 Ultra nonetheless, but there's simply no competition and the Xiamoi looks great.

The 12 ultra looks stunning, but it seems like xiaomi is still holding back from going all in, they always have had a quality disparity between the main lens and the uw/zoom, I own a 10 ultra and the camera setup in very similar, love the versatility it provides but the quality of uw makes it very hard to use in anything other than perfect lighting, probably same story here with the 12s ultra; miui is also another problem, it is fun and nice to use but there is just bugs that can happen and you won't be able to fix them, and if you use it as your daily driver these smaller problems really build up the frustration.

I love Xiaomi's backup and restore feature, I can just backup all my apps and their data (even non Playstore apps) and restore them on another phone. Combined with google's backup and Xiaomi cloud, this is the ultimate backup.
Same. It's part of the reason why my last three phones have been Xiaomi phones. It's just easier to upgrade to a new phone while carrying over exactly what your previous phone had. Granted, it might also be the case for Samsung to Samsung or Apple to Apple. But if you've been using Xiaomi, it's very logical to upgrade to another Xiaomi as well.
