😂You must be a glock fan boy. I too thought this was gonna be some validation since I bought the 43x mos over this gun without trying both. I still love my glock and it's my daily carry, but I shot the 365xl and will probably buy it eventually and have both to rotate which one I carry because it is awesome. Don't be a hater

P365XL is my first handgun and I love it. 650+ rounds, several types of ammo through it, 0 malfunctions. Put a Wilson Combat frame on it for looks and a better grip w support hand. Thinking about getting a smaller P365 frame to swap in for carry while running or at the gym, but I think I’m better off with two separate guns.
I’m in the same boat….Whatever your decision is….. TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING. Two different weapons means doubling down on the training. All this is just my personal opinion.

To put the XL in the smaller frame you also need to buy the shorter barrel.
I have the X Macro Tacop and I bought the p365 WC grip module (FDE for the two tone) for summer carry (the longer slide doesn't hurt the profile) and swapped the tacops grip module with a armorycraft laser cut macro lower (sniper gray).
Two separate holsters. The one with the WC 365 grip gets a custom kydex from Tier1 with an ulticlip/ultituck and a wedge/wing for deep concealment and comfort. No optic, no flashlight. Just the pistol.
The macro gets a 507k green dot, tlr 7 sub, and same holster setup, just light bearing and optic cut.
Another gun costs you at least $500.00. Buying a different grip module, even the high end ones, costs 200.00. If you need a second holster that costs another 100.00 for a nice one with all the frills.
You still save 200.00 and you have the added benefit of knowing the platform. The swap between the grips takes 2 minutes max, brother. The point of the 365 is to carry it 365 days a year. It's modularity and it's mag size:ammo count ratio are it's two main features that set it apart from the pack. Don't throw one away.
Unless you just want to buy another gun then I won't argue that, but practically speaking, the best option is to swap grips.
WOW.... Reading your post takes me back. I was remembering the first 650 rounds I put through my first handgun. Not a dig or any disrespect to you BTW as everyone starts somewhere!!! That was a lot of years and several hundred thousand rounds ago!!! Who knows, it could be a million down range by now!!! I stopped counting about 10 years ago and I was already over 700k down range. Man how time flies!!! It's funny looking back to see how I've gone through different phases as to what I was pursuing over the years. Currently I'm back to my roots with wheel guns though I did just get this p365xl, and it sure is a departure from my 7.5 inch Ruger Redhawk 44 mag!!!
I love my P365xl. Over 700 rounds. Flawless! I also have the P365 grip for deep concealment.
I’ve had mine for about a year and put 3k rounds through it with no issues.

Sig365xl is my favorite one. It's the one that I'm more accurate with, I use 124gr, but I've tried different ammo, and i never had a problem. it's reliable, light, and easy to conceal.
I put the wilson combat frame and the manual safety on mine 5100 rounds through it no problems. I have several nice pistols but I've noticed when commenting about how great my others are i usually have the p365xl in my belt.
Clickbait title, but I love the non-comp P365X-Macro I bought for my wife. With only having a single clip, do you find that TXC holster rotating up on the non-clip side when you’re sitting, where you have to readjust it when you stand?

I like my XL and carry it every day and enjoy shooting it at the range, but I love my PDP-F, although I do not particularly enjoy carrying it. It just doesn't conceal very well for me.
My choice for a holster for the XL was from Kusiak Leather. Nice holster. I might get one for my PDP-F and see if it conceals any better than my current one does.
love my XL with mag guts 14rd mag and 17rd back ups. never had a malfunction of any kind. EDC since they came out
NEVER buy a P365XL? Buy 2 and then buy an FCU and build a P365 Xmacro or a P365XL Spectre Comp? 😘😅

My daily is the P365 lower and the XL Comp upper. So nice to go small for deep concealment or drop the larger mag w/ sleeve and get a few extra rounds. ❤ Thanks for the videos. 😊
I'm thinking about doing that myself. i just reserved a p365 with a black cherry slide on it at the local ffl, but they also had one of those specrtre ones that had the gold trigger/barrel. think ill stick with the p365 for now since i like that black cherry and the smaller frame.
Ive been looking for something that's closer to a pocket gun or a more comfy iwb handgun and i think the normal p365 will do a great job at that considering how small it was yet still fit nicely in my hand and if i want a red dot some day i can always just buy a xl slide to slap onto it as i heard they are basically interchangable.
Only thing that pushes me towards that spectre model was that i was told i could take it home for 700 whereas the normal one was 600. going to the ffl sucks because then i see all the things i want but have to choose only 1 lol.
Grabbed the macro for edc, and its the most comfortable one I own.
I put a icarus precision grip mod, a zaffiri precision threaded barrel and a herrington arms dual port comp on my xl and its fucking amazing. That's the coolest thing about this gun. You can customize it every which way to your liking
Something about that trigger. I can't explain it. I have several other striker fired guns that have fairly good triggers, but the P365 feels right for some reason. I bought the generic P365 and put a Wilson Combat X grip on it. Shoots like a much bigger gun. I have the 17 round mag for nightstand and extra mag for carry.

I 100% agree with you on the xl taking the main spot!! I have couple other handguns Glock, canik, and I ALWAYS end up shooting the sig the most 😂 I love this thing and everything you can do to the lineup. It’s the perfect do all handgun!
@tylervanroy2173. Can you share some of your reasons why? I'm researching and Canik, Sig and Glock were the brands at the top of my list for home defense with a light trigger, low recoil and reliability. Thanks in advance

@@cloudbackup9173honestly it really just depends on you, I’ve had a Glock 19/19x, 43x, and I now have the hellcat pro and m&p 2.0 compact. I hate the hellcat not a fan. The Glocks were ok, but to me the m&p is just a little better. I’ve shot one canik so I can’t say much about that brand. But the hellcat, everyone was saying it was a great pistol and the perfect size but I just do not like the way it shoots. Again, that’s my opinion. You really won’t know until you get them honestly. Everyone has different opinions.

Vietnam vet here and I totally agree with this video. I have and EDC a P365 XL and love shooting it at the range. I have made several mods to it to make it better for me personally; Wilson Combat grip module, larger Sig magazine release, MCarbo trigger, Holosun 507K GR X2 optic, Mag Guts magazine mods for 14 rounds. I have more fun shooting this than my P226 Mk25 or my Browning Hi-Power that had $1,600 worth of work done on it by the Hi-Power Princess at Robar a few years ago. My P365 XL is totally, extemely reliable with every type of ammo I have put through it so far and is very accurate. It is very easy to EDC, to the point I forget I have it on me sometimes. If I have one complaint about it it would be the trigger--it has a somewhat long pull (even with the MCarbo trigger). Maybe this is because it is striker fired? My other pistols are all hammer fired. But in spite of this it shoots great.

@@jacobkean03There are several triggers that are adjustable. I believe m Carbo has one with an adjustable screw, which would adjust the take up. My macro has some take up but I love that it breaks at 90 degrees which aids in trigger control. Ordered a Tyrant cnc trigger for it. So will have to see what it’s like after this upgrade. It definitely has more take up than my Overwatch p10F and my pdp pro flat trigger.
I hate the qc issues sig has had with some of their firearms lately, but I love the 365 lineup. They’re amazing.
My main gripe about the QC is the cerakote finishes get scratched far too easily. Most of mine are in the Coyote Tan scheme, and it drives my OCD into overdrive when I see a scuff or scratch that seems to have magically appeared out of thin air. 😆

@@Aaron-ro4kv Do you have the early models ? I know those had some issues, but I believe they were a newer style (internally speaking) for Sig at the time, so it was to be expected. Also, did you not send it in for repair ? Just about all manufacturers will make repairs for free as long as it wasn't something you caused by negligence or tampering. All my models from the P365 lineup have been perfecto.
@whatwouldlewdo yes, they've fixed all issues except the latest with recoil spring overlapping. They started ignoring me. Everything else was promptly fixed. Still bs to spend a lot of money, then repeated problems at low round counts. 3 trips to print labels, 3 trips to FedEx, weeks waiting. Wasting my time, energy, money, and ftf's risk my life.
Bought a P320 compact .45. LOVE IT! No manual safety. My safety is the same as yours. I DO NEED to have the slide cut for a red dot. If there is any con, that is it for this firearm, they DO have a few models that do have a slide cut. I have installed a Sig flat trigger, it’s just more comfortable for me. I would like to get a 10mm barrel, as my 10mm is a full size Kimber custom II 1911. Love that one as well, but, a compact 10mm would be nice as I live in Northern Idaho and hike around the mountains quite a bit.

I have an aliengear holster for my xl, and it’s obscenely comfy.
With the MagGuts, how is the spring retention after a year or 2 of using it? I can't find any long term reviews, it's the o ly thing holding me back. P.S. amazing holster is the Safariland IncogX.
It is not worth spending the extra money to add only 2 rounds to the magazine. Take that money and buy another magazine. Factory magazines and internals on carry guns will always be the most reliable way to go.
I was duped by the clickbait title. Based upon the title, one would think you are bashing the p365xl and are telling people "never buy the p365xl." In fact, after watching the video you are telling people the opposite. If you want people to know you like a gun don't tell them otherwise in the title.

I have the x and have red dot and light and because the light is longer than the barrel I wish I would have got the xl if the had a smaller light I would like the x better. All around my favorite gun and it my edc never comes off my hip except sleep
Rented a P365XL at a range yesterday, was in 32ft lane (all others were busy). At about 100 rounds everything was going right of target, so I focused more on grip and trigger. By 150 rounds got 2 inch or less groups on target. Not yet able to shoot the red out of center in ten rounds.
Normally shoot P250 compact, CZ p-07. CZ front sight is smaller, I like it better than Sig large dot front sights. The P365XL was about as comfortable to shoot as those other Glock-19 size pistols. Grip was smaller on XL, had to focus more on basics. Am likely to get the XL for carry, so much easier than other guns mentioned here. Had the safety lever, worked nicely and practiced with the safety as well.
I have a 365xl good gun and my Hk vp 9 sk with 15 rounds mags both great carry guns
I've got a bunch of 365's, all of them with XL slides. 10 shot compact frame with irons up to the 18 shot Macro frame with EPSc. Run so good I take them to classes.
Be careful these are NOT duty pistols. But they kinda act like them.
Solution for the belly rubbing problem, it's called Hogue or Pachmayr grips. That wasn't so tough, now was it?

I would note that it’s the Fire Control Unit (FCU) that is modular, not the “trigger.”
I’m glad to see that I’m not the only one who has jumped feet first into the P365XL. I switched from a Glock 19. I’m also glad to see that you and your commenters are enjoying the gun with no issues to report. I’ve heard mixed things about the 365’s reliability.
Been looking at the p365x macro comp, shot nicely.
I’ve always hated striker fired. The 365 changed that. My current 3 in edc rotation. Custom .45 cqb commander. Shadow 2 Compact. And a modded 365x. All with 7k or more downrange without failures.
365x
Sharps imp upper and lower. Zaffiri ported. Dpm recoil. 507k Vulcan. Mcarbo trigger/fp. And some ndz 12rd and sharps macro baseplates. Flattest shooting 9mm I own. That being said. Ported barrel and slide. LOUD.
Buy a 365xl. Best purchase ever made. Far more accurate than any pistol I own. 3000+ rds zero failures to fire

Mines be havin no fails to feed. I did puts de macro grips mojule on mines. Far betta than the stocks grips. Betta recurl control. I puts hunnits of clips through mines. No issues.

If you’re not using the dot you’d want to use the dovetailed front sight to align your irons. That said the newer models of 365 XL the sight plate does not remove the rear sight

So, my MIL is trying to get into guns, and I was thinking about getting her, for her "first" gun, a P365-XL COMP ROSE. She really likes my HK P2000, but I feel like the Rose might be a little more to her liking; have you heard anything on that particular variant of the P365?
It's the same as all the 365's. I personally thought it shot like my xl but my wife says she noticed a big difference and said the rose shoots as good as the P320 xcarry.

I agree, don’t buy the xl. But the standard then but an xl grip module and run that. Get that little bit of extra grip while not adding weight since you have the short slide. And if your used to running 12s in the standard frame then switching to the xl module and running flush fit 12s has the same over all grip legnth when mag is inserted or not.

Uneducated first buyers maybe. I’ve helped many first time buyers find a good fit for them that wasn’t the cheapest option. I’ve recommended Glock 42/43/43x and P365’s to many people and their happy first time buyers/owners

Sigs moto should be, our guns fire most of the time and feed hollow point ammo some of the time, but fire all by themselves when ever they are in the mood. I was out shooting a 365 X tacops and p226 three days ago and a p320 M17 yesterday. The M17 ran fine and shot to point of aim, but I would never make it my EDC. The 365 X had three malfunctions on the first mag, almost imposable to load the mag fully, shot low left by 5" from only 20 yards and the slide would not close if the mag had more than 10 rounds in it. The p226 ran like a charm and would run me out of money before ever malfunctioning. Like in a lot of my other comments, Sig needs to go back to making high quality firearms and skip all this mass produced crap they have now. Go back to the quality of the p226, 228, 229, 220, older 210s along with the 550, 551 plus the magnificent PE-57. Sig is now producing firearms that are on par quality wise with KelTec, but at a much higher price. I understand, the truth hurts after paying all that money for something this bad.
Not apples to apples, but relative. Had a G43 snappy booger, good for deep conceal. Traded it in for Gen 3 19 as a duty weapon. Presently have a 365XL for deep conceal, haven't even made it to the range yet and already marking up negatives. I have 3 mags, all OE. 12 rounds is not pleasant to load, 11 not so bad. The slide catches with a full mag when racking, but not with 11. The mag "has" to be smacked in the grip with 12 but not 11. 12+1 was the selling point other than feeling good in the hand. Like I said, haven't made it to the range yet, so it's going to have to be an amazing shooter to be an EDC. For now the 19 is the EDC, but I don't wear skinny jeans and form fitted T's ;)
The trigger is not the serialized part of the gun. The Fire Control Unit (FCU) is the serialized part. Huge difference. I can upgrade the trigger without going through an FFL. I can't upgrade the FCU.
I'm pretty sure that he meant the FCU; I tend to say, 'trigger group'.
You are right about the stock Romeo optic. It sucks. I went to iron sights.

I have a P365xl in my gun collection and it is a great one. I recommend this gun to everyone, you can make a lot of upgrades. It shoots great and I have never had a malfunction.

I love mine. I carry it, the Shield Plus Perf. Cen., or my Canik MC9. The XL is by far my fav, though.
PS, I want my Xl slide coated by S&W. They've the best in the business in that regard, in my opinion.
M18 is too big, but try the p320 X Compact. Best shooting 320 available (and shoots way better than any 365 model) and definitely concealable…way more than the M18.
I carry both the P365, the P365XL, & the Shield Plus. The PC Shield Plus with a 4" ported barrel, fiber optic sights, and its fantastic trigger out performs the Sigs. The Shield Plus doesn't need any after market parts like the Sigs do as the grip is all ready the right size and the stippling does a great job of keeping it your hands. As it is slightly bigger & heavier I find myself carrying the P365 with the P365XL's 3.7" barrel. I've modified both P365's with the Wilson Combat grip modules, but pimped my P365XL by added a 4.2" True Precision threaded SS barrel, Tactical trigger mod, Holosun 507K, and Mag guts for 14 rds. in the 12 rd. mag. But the Shield Plus outshoots it even with the red dot on the P365XL. I believe the reason is the Shield Plus's excellent crisp trigger, the larger grip, and the fiber optic sights all working together. But the Sigs are more reliable when they're working. But the 2 Sigs have gone back to the factory each 3 times, while the Shield Plus has been back twice. (I got the Sigs before the Shield Plus so less rounds through the Shield). Sigs seem to break down around the 2K round count, while the Shield breaks down before the Sigs do, at least in my case. The Shield Plus has a few more FTF and stovepipe mals, & could be that it needs the more powerful JHP to cycle more reliably as the recoil spring is a lot heavier than that of the Sigs, & takes a lot more strength to rack the slide. The porting could also take some power away from cycling the round as well. So now I'm thinking about a Glock 48. But it has its own problems with low round count, poor sights, and a poor trigger (compared to the Shield, but not the Sigs-I hate the Sig P365 triggers). But after market mags, sights are available, just like for the Sigs.
Don’t mess with your mags folks! Flat springs look cool but they do not push the same as coiled springs do. There is a reason Sig uses coil springs. This guy’s first tip is a bad one.

I picked up a 10rd P365 WITH a safety (yes, I'm a FUDD! 😁) at about the time up put this video up, and it has indeed become my favorite pistol. I picked the small configuration because I pocket-carry, but can also use mags up to 17rd--which happens to be my reload. Even with the larger mags, it still makes my other pistols feel like 2x4s. Throw in the modularity and I can assemble a pistol with the same performance as a full-sized handgun in a much smaller, more efficient package.
Or do you want a longer barrel with a compensator. (Threaded barrel + compensator)
Reused ammo??? The hell is that? It was shot, then shot again before you got it? By the way I highly recommend the Wilson Combat grip for carry. Only the front and back strap are going to be harsh on your skin. MFT makes an awesome IWB holster for 365s. It is just enough Kydex to snap around the trigger guard and hold it in place. Works with any 365 that doesn't have a light on it.

Get the XL; it's the happy medium, then you can swap grips and slide assemblies to better fit your hands and needs--WITHOUT the expense and hassle of buying different guns.
Since I pocket carry, I bought the basic 10rd 'micro' model. If I want more ammo in the gun, or simply a larger gripping surface, I can pop in a larger mag. The longer slide assembly is on my want list

As for them having "too many options," I also can kinda see this being a bad thing... but mainly because you have so many to buy should you choose to complete the lineup. I now have almost every variant/sub model except for the Macro. That one I just didn't like. In my opinion, the P365 Spectre Comp is their crowning achievement in the lineup (and as much as it costs, it SHOULD be). 😅
Also in TOTAL agreement about now hating my Glock 19. If it weren't for it being reliable and being a viable option for a "schmoo hits the fan" scenario, I'd more than likely sell it and buy another P365 variant. 😎

I bought a P365X Macro. The only thing I hate about it is the magazine. It claims to hold 17 rounds, I can fit maybe 14 in the magazine.
You must be loading by hand. All 17 go no problem, just use an UpLula.

they are super tight out of the box, I was able to get 16 in with effort, 17 pretty easily after running through em about 5 or 6 times
Speed Beez makes a lever loader for the 365 series, the mag locks in place, it's fast & it's easy to use. I have an UpLula which is good universally but I prefer the Speed Beez for my 365. Only issue is it'll only work for that series. I also have one for my 320

DITTO! I sold all my Glocks and I carry my X Macro 80% of the time and carry my Wilson Combat P365X when I need deep concealment.
I did the same. Sold and gave away all my Glock stuff. It was a lot of stuff! 365's in various configurations were working better for EDC, 1911/2011 working better in the field.

The P365 XL is the best EDC I've owned so far.

I hate my XMacro non-comp. Worst gun I own IMO. The sights are dank, and it feels great in the hand. The trigger is decent but a little worse than the normal P365 XL. Other than that, it’s garbage in every way including QC and especially recoil control. No excuse for how hard it kicks at 23 oz. 18 oz Max-9 WAY more flatter shooting.
