      I did all that, plus I washed the blue dye out of my hair, AND I removed my nose loop ring. Not only did I get the stated accuracy improvement, my brain started functioning logically again.
      I also stopped demanding that Biden forgive the student loans I took out to get my gender studies masters, realizing that I had to take personal responsibility for my own stupidity.
      Amazing what taking the proper steps to comfortably fit your holster can accomplish.

    Been struggling with IWB for more than 2 years now, listened to friends who told me to get a kydex like the ones they are using and to always go appendix. Being new to this I didn't realize that they have different guns, bigger body than I have, so in the end, it really didn't work out. Bought my 3rd holster and just now that I tried to tinker with it experiment a bit, found out that 2o'clock is the best position for me. PLUS!! This video that you just posted helped me a lot to refine it more so I can get better results. I know I still have a long way to go, but having subscribed to your channel gave me more access to knowledge and confidence that I can use to do better in this lifestyle.

      If you have a belly, try shifting from above belt line when sitting to below. Avoid AT waistband, leave your belt loose and accept it will drop to below waist when walking. That's how people with "content" can appendix carry 😂👍

The Certum3 has less material between the trigger guard and the muzzle, unlike some others **Cough, cough T.rex** that digs into my leg no matter the adjustments I make or clip I use in AIWB. I'm pretty positive I will be satisfied with this holster as it has so many more adjustment options.

    After dorking around with concealed carry for years, I finally settled on a simple OWB pancake holster with a wide metal clip, and dremel/epoxy/screw-modified it for cross body. I carry a Glock 43 with a small pinky mag extension, and wear it at two o'clock x-body, with my shirts outside the belt. Excellent comfort and a much quicker draw than vertical IWB. The muzzle also points slightly away from by hip joint (and grundle). This looks like an excellent holster, and major props for that, but like all of 'em, it won't cant far enough outta the box. There's a market out there for OWB 60- to 80-degree cross body Kydex compacts.

    Once you've realized that sticking a piece of hard plastic against your abdomen is really uncomfortable, got buy more junk to convince yourself that it's comfortable. Repeat this process over several years because leather holsters aren't "tactical" enough. Finally come to a point in your life where you realize that comfort really is important to you and get a quality, custom made leather holster and be happy.

    I prefer a 7:30 ish position on an IWB . To get around the pant loop issue no matter how where the holster rests just thread the belt through clip, loop, clip. It stabilizes the gun more and lessens shifting on the waistline .

    Okay, maybe I am missing something, but how on earth is this supposed to work? You have detached the belt connection, so the holster is just held up by pressure from the belt or waistband and the friction of the body or materials it is held against. So if you are moving around a bunch, wont it just slip around and potentially fall down or out of your pants?

    • @tenicorusa
      @tenicorusa  7 місяців тому +1

      It will move around a little bit which is kind of the point. It starts to find a natural position that isn't interfering with your body.

    Here’s my advice… Start with a firearm that’s actually made for concealed carry. If you don’t think a small, single-stack 9mm offers enough fire power, try something with a higher capacity such as a the Sig P365 or a similar firearm (there are plenty on the market now). Secondly, try a leather OWB pancake holster.

    • @cameronrichner3108
      @cameronrichner3108 22 дні тому

      Before taking this advice, I would caution any new gun owners that you need to be very particular about what you want out of a leather holster. In general they are not very good at retaining a firearm during any moderate activity level. Heavy guns, guns with thick frames/grips, and guns with short barrels all struggle with particularly awful retention in this setup unless the holster has some retention features, such as a trigger guard clip or retention strap.
      My advice to enhance what this comment offers would be to try and find a hybrid holster or local holster maker. It's not the most common or easy thing to do, but a leather backed kydex shell will offer you both comfort and secure retention of your gun.

    AIWB seems to be all well and good for those with a flat belly, but I find that my slightly larger belly makes it more difficult to find a comfortable AIWB position. Seems it's the holster jabbing my groin which turns me more toward carrying at 3:30 - 4:30 position

    • @tenicorusa
      @tenicorusa  3 місяці тому +1

      Body type is definitely a big part of carry position. That's why it's so important to wear your holster without clips around the house and experiment to find the most comfortable and concealable position.

  • @Laughinghawg

  • @lgwappo
    @lgwappo 7 місяців тому +4

    After buying a pile of appendix holsters for several carry guns I learned something. Don't appendix carry. If you're right handed carry at 3:00 & if you're left-handed carry at 9:00. Now you can sit or stand & your gun & holster doesn't stick into your leg or belly & it's not aimed at your junk.

    • @cameronrichner3108
      @cameronrichner3108 22 дні тому

      If that works for you, great. Glad the pros of that carry position outweighed the cons for you. That said, let's be frank about what the cons are.
      Carrying at 3 or 9 is awful for the "concealed" part of concealed carry with any firearm that isn't a slimline sub/micro compact, and especially so if you're a thinner man or woman. The frontal waistline silhouette is a very identifiable vertical plane on the human body, and shirts naturally drape straight down parallel to that plane in a way that is noticably disrupted by a gun sticking off of your side. It is also extremely uncomfortable to have a kydex holster pressed directly against that bone if you have any decent tension in your belt whatsoever.
      Your draw speed is also significantly slower and less consistent due to the increased difficulty in performing a garment clear on the far opposite side of your weak hand.
      Put all that together and you're limited to very small guns with very limited ammo in leather holsters with poor retention if you want to have any success with that carry position. Appendix allows much greater concealment of much larger firearms with much greater comfort in most positions, so long as you take the time to properly scrutinize your gun, holster, belt & wardrobe, and concealment depth and angle.

    PS . The previous comment ..If you are interested in trying out this sort of holster mod…If you happen to mess up the fitment/desired effect ,the first time ,if you did go with the double ended version…you can start over.you’ll have the other 1/2 to work with. Remember…SUBTLE & INTRIGUE is the goal. The last thing you want to do is evoke thoughts of fear or pain. Or worse..Staring,pointing and giggling..That would be the worst!stay safe & Cary On!!

      Great for comfort and indiscriminate concealed carry. If that works for you, glad to hear it. Anyone worth listening to will tell you that the best setup is the one that's comfortable enough to keep using. Having the perfect tactical practical carry setup does nobody any good if it's such a pain they never use it.
      But where leather holsters are concerned, do be aware of the downsides, namely; awful retention. It is at best sloppy and at worst actively dangerous to go anywhere in any kind of hurry with a one size fits all leather holster that has no fitment or retention features.

    May I suggest,if doing a DIY wedge type situation to the muzzle end of your IWB holster for comfort &/or bridging the top of your gun back towards the body …Rather than using say ,a dr.schools gel insert ect,find an “adult shop “go in and feel all the dildos made with a softer gel type material. The double dong isle may be your best bet. The floppy longer ones that some people enjoy for various purposes are the softer ones you can find.hold it up to your holster and find a length that you think will work best for you.Cut one end off & start contouring the cut end to the back of your holster until you find the right thickness & overall shape that gives you the desired effect with your holster .Temporarily affix the piece of the adult toy to the holster with a few dabs of hot glue. Then try it on with multiple different pairs of jeans/pants that you like and will most likely be wearing when you are out and about. The ladies are looking. I advise going with “middle of the road “with girth of the toy that you choose & the amount of excess you choose to leave dangling below the muzzle end of your holster. subtle & intriguing is the effect your going for..go to large and you may draw too much attention from the wrong girls..The more conservative girls (the ones that most regular guys are looking for )that might be interested or intrigued would almost certainly be scared and be thinking of pain or discomfort if you go to large with your holster mod..Don’t think of this as false advertising or deception. If you wind up in a private situation with someone for the first time ,It’s totally up to you once the holster is removed..The right girl that knows anything about self defense/EDC & has a good sense of humor will not only understand but will most likely find it creative and the two of you can have a good laugh together and a funny story to share with your friends …..Close friends only,of course. I f your still reading & are the creative/DIY type,you can totally get the double duty of the holster attachment im describing..A quick sketch would be easier than a description. If you want more of a visual (FYI.. I don’t think there’s a holster or a gun involved though.?.? at least not in the case of Led Zeppelin anyway.& if you do care to look into it,very few of the front men from any popular band that might have embellished a little in order to boost their sex symbol rock star image to ,in turn,help boost the female fan base ,while simultaneously boosting album sales that has been asked about any possible “embellishments”by the very few reporters who were brave enough to actually ask those types of questions,on camera,during interviews,will admit it. )while you are already here on YT,look for a video of Led Zeppelin (its an older band from the 70s for some of the younger guys out there…)performing.find a live concert in daylight hours.that may be the most self explanatory. The lead singer tends to exaggerate the whole thing when performing one particular song.. I can’t think of the title of the song right now(it was one of that particular bands biggest hits so it should pop right up)but pay particular attention to the lead singer during the part of the performance where the lyrics “squeeze my lemon and let the juice run down my leg “are sung..You might have to check out a couple different videos of different concerts but the artist from Zeppelin,Jimmy Paige ,at times,was a prime example of the opposite of subtle with that widely used “technique”. He has in fact admitted to embellishment & explained in detail…years after the fact. The band manager/promoter was usually the one that made the suggestion in the first place. He (Jimmy Paige)kept it simple.If I remember correctly he said it was simply a rolled up tube sock positioned just so. I a hetro rock fan,but you can’t help but notice. Anyhow,excuse the tangents & long explanation & any unintentional puns…holsters /mods/comfort/relationships(I suppose.?.You people reading this…how ever & what ever you carry ,be safe and enjoy. Take care.

      @@tenicorusa uh huh your T shirt goes all the way to your bo-hole and oyu've used this in ccw leatherslap matches, and drawn on men a dozen times? I have done those things, been in the top 10% at world level IPSC combat pistol championships, and I switched to a velcroe-in kydex front pants pocket rig. "Hand in pocket" start is twice as fast as any ccw belt rig, under a shirt. and the gun and rig looks just like a wallet in my pocket. The so called' hook designed into such pockets let the rig come out of my pocket every third draw, so I added the velcro . I had a seamstress enlarge the mouths of the pockets, cause I added a speed lever to the P938's thumb safety and I use the "high-thumb" grip. I can react to the timer's beep, draw to a retention position, one handed point shot and hit the chest at 5-6 ft, in .55 second. I can draw to an eye-level, 2-handed stand, and reliably hit the chest at 10 ft, all in .75 second. I side step as I do this, which less me beat the drop.

      @@SonnyCrocket-p6hYou have a great setup with a lot of experience and skill to back up your EDC choices, but let's make sure we're being transparent about the limitations and capabilities of that method.
      To pocket carry safely and responsibly, you have to be very mindful about your wardrobe, as not all pockets will fit a gun, not all pockets that will fit will allow for a smooth draw with a fisted grip, not all pockets that will allow that are sturdy enough to support thousands of practice reps without anything tearing, and not all pockets that will allow that are unobtrusive enough to allow repeatable success with gross motor functions in a high adrenaline situation without any risk of negligent discharge into your own leg.
      Even once you've filtered out all unsuitable wardrobe options, you STILL have to modify every single lower body garment you intend on carrying with if you want to do so safely with a secured pocket holster.
      And even once you've successfully seen through to that level of commitment in making pocket carry work, you will still find yourself limited exclusively to micro compact firearms with very low ammo capacity, very limited caliber, and very short barrels.
      Accurate shots with a pocket carry micro compact in a terrifying ccw defense situation, the inexperienced shooter does not make.
      TL;DR: Don't pocket carry unless you're ready to train your ass off and tolerate a severely restricted wardrobe that'll still have to be modified to fit a severely limited size and variety of handguns.
      But hey, if you can do all that you'll be fast as hell with it.
