DougieBoy it happens with all sometimes. Could be setting in blender vs the engine, or something related. It’s not a problem, just flip the normals and reimport.
Thanks for revisiting Buildbox 3 and discussing the scale with 3D models. Buildbox 3 can be put on two machines with one licence - I wonder if the situation you had is just a beta thing . Also, in preview mode, I don't expect a full render. For me, this is nice to get the base idea out in Buildbox 3 and then consider going to another game engine or language. Thanks for what you do!
As long as it requires some type of thinking process in order to make something work, it is programming, even if it's nodes' based. There is no way to create software without thinking how one wants it to work and learning the correct nodes to use for one's scenario.
Although i do appreciate blueprint-types of programming, this falls short to the limitations of the engine that you cannot work around. As an example, in UE4, there is a mouse capture event that can be turned on or off; however if you use a mouse and keyboard play, you will have issues with holding down mouse events because of that base capture. You can code a workaround with 3 lines of C++ and done! Otherwise, there is no workaround for this.
I say this in the nicest way but EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING DOES NOT NEED FRIGGIN CODE ITS JUST absurd. Events are pragmatic and practical. Whats the point of a game engine if one has to code every single thing and nuissance. NO Code allows us artist and content creators that have no interest in coding to make games and apps. Coding in my opinion will eventually be phased out for the majority of mainstream game making and app making in the future, like with an industrial revolution type of thing replacing the way many did things in manufacturing and agriculture. Why should i have to type lines of code to have for example a door open in a game a simple mouse lever or button can solve that. There are way too many code engines, there needs to be more NO CODE engines for professionals that are content creators and dont need to waste time rewriting lines of code for every single imaginable thing. I just feel there needs to be a separation between recognizing professionals that need engines that dont use code and the habit of engines with code, that require there to be teams with coders on board. And there needs to be more catering to the non coders. If not then that presents opportunity for more people to build no code engines for games and apps. Buildbox sounds great also gdevelop 5, construct 3, and so on. They need to be further developed, they’re great but are still in infancy in terms of potential, although good pacing so far. Also shaders, a shader engine, no code, that is compatible with different engines. Surely it could be done, in a practical way/solution. Kind of like PBR did, now shaders.

Can you do a tutorial on how to add your own animations like punching and stuff for 3D.
It’s not just the head. The normals are inverted. You can see it in the body as well.
I was about to say the same, it looks like it flips the normals on import.
Unity does this too for some models. Mainly FBX files. Usually make the hair on a character like that.

Thanks! Please keep covering BB! I’ve been asking about FBX constantly. So happy it’s getting closer.

You should mention the strings attached restrictions on Free dude. You can’t export to desktop nor monetize your mobile.
Yeah I skimmed a bit on the subject as I recently covered Buildbox

Appreciate that Mike! (Bryan)

any video reporting on the new Epic Games publishing deals?...
