This version is revised to include a notice to drain the fuel tank by running the engine until empty or manually draining it into an approved container. This helps prevent fuel leakage when tipping the machine back to work on the scraper.
The CCR-3650 snow blower needs the scraper blade replaced. This is a part that will wear out and is an easy DIY repair.
How easy? The steps are outlined below. One tip I did not mention in the video. Drain the gas or run the engine until the gas is empty.
Step 1. Three nuts need to be removed.
Step 2. Remove old worn/broken scraper.
Step 3. Pop new scraper blade in place. Align holes in scraper with holes in blower housing.
Step 4. Reinstall bolts and nuts.
That is all there is to it.
If you need the part, this link will take you to Amazon where you can purchase the exact piece I used on my Toro CCR3650. The seller also indicates that this part will work on these models as well! CCR2000 CCR2450 CCR2400 CCR2500 CCR3000 CCR3675

Winter is annoying. The Project Cave helps. 😁
I found a small silver metal retaining pin inside the sleeve of the plastic scraper on my Toro 2450 but
the exploded view schematic show no such part, toothpick size pin . Big mystery
I just did mine today on my Toro CCR 3650 what a real pain in the ass!!! All bolts were rusted up, I got both sides on the outer side off but the middle one was so seized up that I cannot get the nut off. You always get the one that just wont come off, I had to cut it with a hack saw and my new one came with new hardware. Also lining it up was a pain in the ass too wedging it under that clip. Mine was about as worn as the one in the video so it could have been the original one, not sure since I bought mine used. My belt housing on the bottom is worn, may buy a new belt cover to replace my old one to make a perfect seal.
Glad you got it done! Mine was a bit of a pain too! But I am always happy to read about someone’s success! Let me know how the belt housing replacement goes. Next up for me is to drain the gas and put it away until next season.
Damn mines is all rusted and bent and cracked. Not looking forward to change the scraper
I still hope i never have to use on of those! Great video man.
There is light at the end of this tunnel! At least until next winter!
Ok so I guess mine isn’t the only one that leaked. I was fixing some bolts in the paddle and I noticed mine was leaking. The ccr1000 doesn’t leak in that position so I wasn’t sure.
Maybe you can do a video on fixing the hole in the belt housing? Mine had a bigger hole in the same spot as yours. I used jb weld steel stick. It’s like clay that hardens into metal. I just slapped it on there, but I want to make it look better.
Definitely not the only one that leaked. I wasn’t sure where the leak came from. But that JB Weld repair is probably something I would try. Just wonder how it would hold up to the fuel.
You alright Project Cave?
I'm good. Just out of commission for a while. My wife gave us another baby girl a few months ago and I had a surgery on my foot that has kept me sidelined. Big adjustments.
@@TheProjectCave congrats on the baby! Hope you get better and things go well!
