  • Its that time of year again. Today we're comparing 3 different ways to get realistic looking webs for Halloween. The original Webcaster Gun spiderweb gun, which uses hot glue and a compressor, the Webcaster Gun II which uses hot glue and a shop vac, and a DIY Web Gun using any drill, hvac fan, small tupperware and rubber cement.
Cost wise, we got our webcasters off of amazon. The original Webcaster Gun costs about $44 with a pound of glue sticks (about 49 sticks). The Webcaster Gun II is about $34 with a pound of glue sticks.
The original webcaster needs a decent compressor, so if you don't already have something that puts out 4 cfm at 90 psi, it may not be worth it. The Webcaster Gun II just needs a decent shop vac, although the more powerful it is, the better.
The DIY Web Gun can use any drill. The hvac fan blade we got online at Grainger for about $6 plus shipping. The tupperware cost about $2, and the bolts and washers cost about $2. I will link the original video below to where we got the idea from. Rubber cement seems to be cheapest from Joanns using either Joanns or Micheals coupons.
