you should do a maintenance and update video on this tank. one of the hardest things with discus is to controlling the algae due to lights and temperature. would love to see how you guys keep it all in check and the work required.
Beautiful addition to the showroom. Those discus are so amazing. There's not many things better than a planted discus tank done right; they're hard to achieve. Great job, Tommy. Take care.
I've followed aquascaping for over twenty years now. This particular setup is nothing short of extraordinary! The dynamic had smooth, flowing lines, and the one thing that is paramount to keeping happy, healthy Discus: A place to hide and avoid the direct light. Your choice of plants were spot on and lend themselves perfectly to a scene which is serene and soothing. Very well done!
Végre egy igazán meleg vizes akvárium. Kíváncsi leszek, lesz-e algásodás. Nekem 4 évembe telt, mire megszűnt. Egyébként az óriás valisnera, és a nymphoides taiwan is jól bírja nálam a diszkoszoknál. Gyönyörű lett.
Beautiful! Green Aqua made their own grotto! It looks fantastic, and it will be very interesting to watch the Discus grow and thrive. Best of luck to the maintenance team!
"Tropica is doing a lot for the environment" .. meanwhile during the video we see DOZENS OF TROPICA PLASTIC BAGS that are not recyclable by most factories. And even if they were, companies need to stop using plastic when it's not necessary. With 500k subscribers, you now have the power and the responsibility to make our hobby more eco-friendly. Thank you Green Aqua.
I too am baised! Thank you for the inclusion of a planted discus scape. I have a 90gal discus aquascape and love it more with each passing day. It may be restrictive for sure when it comes to plants, but is very possible! I have a variety of anubias and crypts in mine at 85F (29.4C) and they all thrive under a Fluval 3.0 at 12% output. We too have a school of Rummynose, as well as Harlequin Rasboras, 15 corydoras of many varieties, German Blue Rams and a few others. Each and every night we sit down and watch the tank after the room lights are turned off - it's our favorite part of the evening. The tank will be 7 months old next week and has grown so much! I have some early videos of it on my youtube channel, I suppose I should update it:)
Well Tommy... I'd say you've out done yourself, but then I tend to think that about all your scapes, until i see the next. Such a beautiful tank to showcase such beautiful fish. Many kudos. Take a bow
I'm completely biased but this is already my favourite scape 😁 I've been waiting for years and it's finally happened. It inspires me for my next discus set-up. Thank you Tommy and Green Aqua 🙏🏻
A different scape, that is based on the fish and not the plants/hardscape. And still an awesome result! Well played indeed! (Please have it updated regularly longterm- interesting if both plants and fish thrive when times pass by.)
What an amazing guy, amazing scape and an amazing company . Thank you so much for all your videos, inspiring people with nature and showing us how to bring great pieces of it into our homes...
The easiest , the most beautiful scape with the most rewarding fishes to keep! Personally I would leave more open spaces for the hardscape to show up more. Congrats!
em ở việt nam xin gửi lời chào thân ái đến anh ❤ em rất thích xem video của anh , rất đẹp và hay ❤ em rất mê cá cà hồ cá cảnh , cám ơn anh đã chia sẻ video , i really like your video so much , i love fish so much , thank you for sharing video
Woooow Is amazing, I from Mexico✌️🇲🇽 Is the first time that a watch your content and I loved it. I learn about this beautiful hobby and speaking english❤ Thank's for those few minutes for enjoy your aquarius🫂
That does it! I'm setting up my 120 now front I picked up on marketplace free last year. Been holding off because I'm slowly collecting everything and wasn't sure if I wanted to go back to African cichlids as I've kept and breed em almost 35 years now but contemplating discus and after seeing the video I'm sold. Discuss it is. So far I've gone from nothing to getting a 120 now front and a fluval fx6 and an ehiem pro 4 all free. Only thing left is a stand which I'll make and a few other things which I'll buy now that I'm ready to set up The 2 filters are practically new which is great and the tank is flawless. Never had a jebo tank but I've read mixed reviews. Guess I'll find out. Your video gave me so many ideas i wanna run out and get everything now. Thanks for kicking me into gear. Discus are definitely going to be my new tank inhabitants. I also have 2 wave makers given to me with the tank and wondered if anyone would suggest I use em with the discus?? I'm thinking about buying some pidgeon bloods to start. Any suggestions on how many if I go small to start and does anyone have thoughts on clown coaches as tank mates? I'd like some bottom dwellers and a few top swimmers as I'm told discus are mid swimmers and quite timid Also thoughts on my filters? Never had any of the two I was given. Their practicality new in boxes with filter medium included. Anyone have real world reviews? Again.... your video just got me back into the game! Cheers!.
They put heater because area over there was colder and dryer air,if they doesn't use the heater, water temp may can reach below than 24°c, and they can plant lots of good carpeting plant there because water temp was colder than indonesia
this is my favorite scape by you guys because its the most relatable, its like something Id do compared to some of the super complex scapes you guys do.
The rummynose tetras look perfect with that type of discus fish! I've always wanted to keep a pair of discus fish, but currently all my large tanks are in use.
Beautiful ! But why did you say that we shouldn't install heater ? I have 3 aquascapes with heaters reaching 23/24 degres because it's 19/20 in my house.
amazing tank. as a discus breeder my advice is: maintain consistent water parameters. Discus HATE fluctuations. You can use tap water, they will adapt. just fill it with the same temperature that was already in the tank.
I love this video! These fish are so beautiful. I did have to add a controllable heater to my tank for Winter. The temperature in my house fluctuates to much to maintain the tank safely this time of year
My absolute favourite tank u have done... 100% love My tank so similar! 20 sterbai, 40 rummy,, but I have gourmet not discus. And I have lots of Val across the back and surface
Beautiful. Valisneria Gigantea rubra on the back (soil) could be a good option, Leaves will swim to the right empty space and red spikes in armony with fish (all)
Beautiful scape! I wanted to know when did you introduce the fishes after setting up the tank? Since you added Amazonia, it generally leaches Ammonia into the water column which can be problematic for the Discus fishes. Secondly, can you please talk about how are you remineralising the RO water for this tank? Are you using CO2 injection for this tank? Did you face algae or diatom issues as tanks maintained at higher temperatures generally do so. Are you using any particular filter media like carbon or purigen?
Awesome video Tommy! Great job all around and a lot of information on the setup! Discus are such beautiful fish! Love the breakdown of the setup from beginning to end! Lots of questions answered with this video, especially if your looking to start a discus setup! THANK YOU!
What about the emergent plants? I see that you guys have many now. Please provide some direction on it. Plants (roots) that will hold the temperature. Beautiful work!
Finally a planted discus tank!
Absolutely fantastic.

Yes please
Definetly!!
If I ever had the money I would love to put together an aquarium showroom with this new found love of fish
Beautiful addition to the showroom. Those discus are so amazing. There's not many things better than a planted discus tank done right; they're hard to achieve. Great job, Tommy. Take care.

Discus are the most stunning fresh water fishes and they reproduce this is why I have a lot of them...
Awesome scape you've created sir.. It has a feeling to it.. It does not gives any vibe of fake or diorama.. It is purely nature inspiring scape..
Végre egy igazán meleg vizes akvárium. Kíváncsi leszek, lesz-e algásodás. Nekem 4 évembe telt, mire megszűnt. Egyébként az óriás valisnera, és a nymphoides taiwan is jól bírja nálam a diszkoszoknál. Gyönyörű lett.
Egyelőre jól tartja magát, igyekszünk kordában tartani.
Beautiful! Green Aqua made their own grotto! It looks fantastic, and it will be very interesting to watch the Discus grow and thrive. Best of luck to the maintenance team!
Thank you for information ❤

Strange comment! How you wanna handle the plants?
@@joemontana778 no solution just problems.
Beautiful scaling.
Hope all the plastic from the plants can be recycled. Want our environment to be as beautiful and lush. 🐠
Looks like a screensaver. Thanks for just letting us just look at the tank uninterrupted
Wow the hardscape was ultimate and I am a great lover of Epiphyte plants, discus fishes those are so wonderful
Really nice!
So beautiful!

I wouldn’t want to keep Discus fish myself, but they look so majestic in a planted tank. And you got the variety just right Tommy. Absolutely stunning
Absolutely beautiful
Well Tommy... I'd say you've out done yourself, but then I tend to think that about all your scapes, until i see the next. Such a beautiful tank to showcase such beautiful fish. Many kudos. Take a bow

I've been waiting for years and it's finally happened.
It inspires me for my next discus set-up.
Thank you Tommy and Green Aqua 🙏🏻
One of my favourite scapes to date, may be simple but the details and balance is beautifully done. 😍
Simply amazing. If i had a tank like that in my basement, I would never leave its side
AT LEAST! A discus tank!
Congrats , Tamás!
Cheers from Brazil 🇧🇷👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Not surprised that Tommy did one of the best discus tank I have ever seen.
A different scape, that is based on the fish and not the plants/hardscape. And still an awesome result! Well played indeed! (Please have it updated regularly longterm- interesting if both plants and fish thrive when times pass by.)

They put heater because area over there was colder and dryer air,if they doesn't use the heater, water temp may can reach below than 24°c, and they can plant lots of good carpeting plant there because water temp was colder than indonesia

Just got my first discus today. Any tips??
Great Video! Great Tank! I always tried to have discus. Despite obviously optimal conditions in my tank I am not successful. They are so sensitive.
This tank is absolutely breathtaking! Beautiful job! 👏👏👏
Thanks! Glad you like it.

And the ENVY you give with all the pots, branches, tech and lifestock too.
