The thing on Alfa Romeo is completely wrong: the red crossed flag is the ancient flag of Milan's patron saint Sant'Ambrogio and the snake (eating a child, not a man, is Tartanasio the supposed dragon that haunted Milanesi and that Visconti killed. Since then the dragon Tartanasio is the symbol of the Visconti family and of the city of Milano. A supposed rib of the beast is still kept (and visible) in an abbey close to Bergamo a neighboring mountain town close to the city while the snake-dragon eating a child is also the emblem of Internazionale Milano F.C. (But in team jersey colors blue and black).

its inspired by the datsun logo which was a sun with a blue rectangle with the text datsun. if you don't know, datsun is the company that became nissan

It's just a circle, with the name NISSAN plastered across it! Kia says KIA, Honda and Hyundai are just stylized H's, Ford says FORD.
Nissan, sun symbolism. The circle is a common sun symbol. KIA Has two pyramids in it. Between the K and I. KI, pointing to the left. And in the A which is missing the line in the letter. Honda an Hyundai have two styled triangles in it, one pointing upward and one pointing downward. Ford have two crosses in it, the styled F and the styled R. Positioned around the O, the sun symbol.
new and old tech You're somwhat right. Nissan's predecessor Datsun's name is a combination of the initials of the founders (D.A.T) and sun (b/c japan is considered the land of the rising sun). The Datsun logo is a red circle with a rectangle on top with the name on it. So when they formed Nissan, they carried over the logo/
Rover's logo is a Viking ship because the two brothers that started the company where born in Sweden. Before their end, Rover was the oldest company in the world making cars...older than the car, older than Mercedes They started making bicycles, in fact the two same size wheels driven by a chain to the rear was their patent, basically the setup of almost every modern bicycle.

The Tri-Shield from Buick represented their 3 fullsize cars, the Electra, Lesabre and the Invicta(which later became Wildcat). The Tri-shield was introduced in 1959 and it's still being used today.

You missed it on the BMW logo. It *IS* a spinning propeller. _Before_ they moved from the town of Eisenach (company name Automobilewerke Eisenach) AWE to merge with Rapp and BFW in 1916. Before they all got together Rapp and BFW made airplanes and airplane engines, then from 1916 to 1929 they were just in the airplane business. Source: the BMW museum in Munich.

higher warranty (10 yr hyundai and kia vs 3 years for honda), simply put. also more comfortable luxurious, engine is pretty easy to maintain. plus it's less prone to rust because its galvanized. Don't assume that honda is better because of the hype bro. Honda is really only good motorcycles/ offroad ATV's because they have good engines

+Damon Cheeks It's an arrow head. Pontiac's earlier logos were Native American based due partly to the town where the company was founded having been a Native American trading post in it's earliest history. Pontiac Michigan and surrounding areas were big into fur trading in early American History.

Also if my memory serves me correct the original name wasn't Pontiac at first. It was Oakland Motors. The first car with the Pontiac name was in 1926. The Model 6-27.

Toyota is actually kind of interesting. The name "Toyota" is actually a misspelling of the company's founding family name, "Toyoda". Heck, the current CEO's name is Akio Toyoda.
In Japanese Hiragana it was found "Toyoda" had an extra stroke vs. "Toyota" and it was easier to write & create the logos for the brand. Hence the company's name
The logo of the ovals represented 3 core values of the brand overlapping each other, and it also forms a rough "T".

Mercedes Benz logo also means something personal, his creator last name was Benz, so when he had a daugther he drew a Star on a photo of his house on top of it that means where his daugther was born which name was Mercedes.
