Drew, I've seen enough tiny homes to last a lifetime, however, this particular unit has absolutely everything I would need to be completely comfortable. The windows and their placement are perfect. Size of kitchen is large & I love the pantry. I was never in favor of "white" cabinets everywhere, however, this factor makes the space look twice as big! Best features, appliances are normal size, love the ceiling fan (would also have placed one in the Master bedroom), no steps/ladder to lofts, but the biggest asset to this home are the two bedrooms. The second bedroom, I would have a day bed and all of my office paraphernalia ! This is the first time I've come to this site. I will be building a new tiny home hopefully in the next six months. I'm waiting on the lot purchase! Thanks Drew for sharing a great floor plan and the perfect tiny house!
Best tiny house I've ever seen! Would just need a back door near that couch. Maybe half the size of that tall kitchen cabinet & add a back door there. Otherwise, it's an amazingly perfect house!❤What's the name of it & what is the builder's company name?
I live alone I would move living room with fireplace/tv to the end and have room for dining table and work desk. And in master turn one closet into shelves or dresser .
Lots of nice features here, and I assume some things could be customized. One thing to consider: it's larger than a park model, so some RV/trailer parks wouldn't allow it to be parked there.
Also, I don't need a dryer because I hang most of my clothes to dry. But the washer? Yahoo - love it! No dishwasher needed. It's just me & I am not allergic to work. 😅
Absolutely beautiful! I love the light, bright, modern aesthetic. The white paint with the light, natural wood tones is a lovely combination. The clerestory windows help bring in more light and provide nice views of the sky and treetops, even when blinds or curtains are closed on the lower windows for privacy. Having 2 bedrooms on a single floor is great. I love the laundry room and how it doubles as a hallway to the bathroom and bedroom. That's wonderful space planning. I only have two points of constructive criticism. The pantry cabinet is a nice feature, but I recommend adding pull-out shelves to really make the best use of the full depth of the shelves. It's definitely worth the extra bit of expense. My last point of constructive criticism revolves around window placement. From the exterior, the chronic misalignment of windows and doors is a pet peeve of mine. It seems to be an issue that plagues many tiny homes. It detracts from what is otherwise an attractive exterior.
Ive seen a few tiny homes, this one looks like the best. Would take the wheels off and set up like a tiny house. Not sure if a regular mobile home park would accept. Like to know what the insurance would be. Lot rent I know varies. For a single senior this would be perfect.
Definitely have to look around and verify the details. For one example, Outdoor Resorts of Orlando allows you to purchase the lot and then drop your RV/"tiny house" on the lot (up to 700ish square feet).
This is very nice, but I thought a “tiny house” was supposed to be under 400 sq ft. I may be wrong. Anyway, this home is the nicest I’ve seen so far, and I’ve seen a lot.
It's beautiful but just fine for a single person who spends all their time outdoors, not great for a senior couple. We're seniors still stuck in our first home and it's 990 Sq ft is choking us. Still waiting for my dream home with 1400 Sq ft, but not holding my breath. No room for a wheel chair in our home.😢
This is the first tiny house that I truly love..the nice brightness, the 2 separate bedrooms of good size..don't have to worry about crawling around in a tiny loft area...the kitchen is fantastic..love the living room and an unbelievable laundry area..also that bathroom is a good size for a tiny home..nothing in this home screams out tiny, just cozy and comfortable..excellent job on this build...😊
It’s completely Stunning and definitely a design I would replicate for my dream Tiny. Love the exterior design and colour and absolutely everything inside from top to bottom. Well done!
I AM SUPER IMPRESSED!!! It is the first time I have seen a tiny so practical and so comfortable. On the other hand, it surpassed the container houses that I have seen, (and there are many) in closets, I tell you again I am super impressed, I am going to look for the company that manufactures to see if the prices are very impressive too 🤣😂🤣 Thanks again....
This is THE BEST tiny home I've ever seen, and I've been looking for a while. The plan is for my daughter to buy a home with enough property for me to have my own tiny home that won't feel like it's too close to her home. I've been searching forever for the perfect home, and this is IT!! I'd have the wardrobe taken out of the second bedroom, and bookshelves installed to make that my reading room. I love that the living room feels like a real living room, with a real comfortable sofa. Too many tiny homes fail in their living room design...so much room is given over to the kitchen, that the "living" area barely has room for a loveseat and a side table, with no space to even hang a TV. I love it all...the size of the rooms, the layout, no stairs or loft that I have to crawl into, the light floors and the white walls, I even love the furniture they dressed this model with. It's perfect!! I'm pretty sure I just found my home!! ❤️
I really love this! A few tweaks like open shelving above the sink and counters, no dishwasher or microwave, a ledge counter that goes against the window in the entrance area to eat and work from and can fold down, a washer and dryer...
Or, a slimline dishwasher. I have a full size house with a slimline dishwasher now. Since it is just me, my husband and the dog, it takes a couple days for us to fill the dishwasher. Could certainly be put in a small house like this. Don’t know why they don’t use them more often in small house builds. I love mine. Love the open shelving idea.
@@Adogslife54 No to the dishwasher. I am almost 58 and have never used a dishwasher in my life and am damn proud of it. I think the dishwasher might be the most worthless appliance in the world and I am far from a Luddite. What is so hard about washing dishes--especially since it's just you and your hubby? It takes time to prepare the dishes for the dishwasher when you could just directly wash each dish.
This is absolutely beautiful, but I would consider it more of a smaller single-wide than a tiny home. As people want more & more amenities, it feels like the original affordable tiny home vision is being replaced. This home is worth every penny of the current home market cost as listed below on a post.
I'm unable to climb stairs so this would be perfect for me. I also love that the home is 12 ft wide instead of 8 ft. Narrower homes feel like a long hallway to me. I also like the way he used concrete in his home. What a great money saver!
We could downsize this very easily, I would add my own long but norrow table/counter for extra food prep and eating, love the tub and wardrobe storage at both ends.,best foolr plan we have seen and we have been looking at these for several years.
I would scrap the front bedroom and make the living room bigger, scrap the fireplace, change to a stackable washer and dryer. Then once on my land add a covered porch off the door side of the house. I would probably scrap the tub for a walk-in shower as well. Love the colors on walls and floors and cabinet color. Very nice!
I love the light, from the windows to the white interior. As a couple of empty nesters I would only like one (big) change to make it perfect for me. The second bedroom is nice however not used as often. A retractable wall between the living room and second bedroom would make a big entertaining area. Maybe a convertible sofa in that area that could be closed for privacy
It's very nice. I would only change a couple of things, the w/d and a shower no tub. It seems a bit expensive though after you pay for land and utilities, maybe it's just me.
There are some tiny home "villages" popping up. One in Dallas, some in Oregon and Washington and Colorado, SC and Tennessee, probably more by now. Cheaper to rent a space, and then any septic issues or that sort of thing will not be out of pocket.
when I look at tiny homes I always think the living room.. you know where you do a lot of your living.. needs to be more than a couch pushed up against the wall for me. I need a living room.. to play Xbox, to have a fire and a glass of wine, to do exercise videos on you tube, to do my crafts, my nails etc. I can't live long term with a small couch with no other room for tables and gaming stuff. Even in this one I think I would take one of the bedrooms out and extend the living space. Love that it's 40 by 12 though. Much more along the lines of what we are thinking of. beautiful
I can totally relate to that. I would do the same and move everything gaming related to the second bedroom. Maybe I would even put a computer corner and an L-shaped couch next to it and put the TV there in the gaming room too. Then there is no TV or monitor in the living room or kitchen. This way you can clearly delineate the rooms. I would like the idea. In this way, you could make even better use of the space in the living room, as you no longer have to hang a TV on the wall and the couch could also be removed.
This is the first tiny home that I could move into right now. No loft or steps. Extra room in which I would put a Murphy bed in there in the event that I had overnight company. Otherwise the additional room would be awesome to work on crafts or home office. Love it.
Amish craftsmen in my area (WI) build these for $70K and deliver them. I add solar and batteries to make them off-grid. It would be worth it to find the closest Amish builder in your area and pay for shipping to your location.
This is a modular and not really a tiny home. I owned a 14 wide by 42 long a few years back and for under 100,000 dollars it came fully furnished, brand new. Beds, couch, 2 chairs, kitchen table with chairs, a fridge, gas stove, above stove microwave with the option of a washer dryer hook up in the master walk in closet. For 200,000, which is high, it should come fully furnished.
I love this home. When will it be presented on your website? 144,238.00 US dollars. Love all the working windows and door placements. For me I would skip the mini splits and wall heaters and place floor vents for a heat pump to be set up once on site.
Find $150K to pay for it, plus some land to put it on. That's how you go about buying this. PRO TIP: find the land FIRST. This is a critical first step.
I LOVE this home! This is something I’ve envisioned for a long time ! I would only change just a few things like adding another unit for separate washing and drying. I would take away the outdoor door in the bedroom and change the bathtub to a shower. Other than those things, I’d be a very “happy camper” to live in that beautiful home❣️
Indeed, this home is very fitting for a retired person or couple who don't want stairs. It is also spacious and has all the necessary amenities. This is a fine plan!
Drew, Probably been asked this question already but how much is a base model of this floor plan. I tried looking it up on the Mint website but they don’t have it on there site yet? Just wondering because it would be a perfect retirement home for me and my Husband
I like that this tiny home has 2 bedrooms with no lofts. As I am getting older not interested in doing stairs or climbing a ladder . ❤❤❤
