As a builder that cabin is the exact opposite of simple. The more simple something looks the harder it is to construct. Impressive level of detail and finishing.
@@ClayMationNation but the shape of the roof is designed to let rain fall straight down the troughs of the roof so they dont use guttering, and don’t have to clear out all leaves etc from all the trees also. Our carpentry class just did a job site tour of a cross laminated timber build apartment building here in Seattle. They said they only had a handful of guys assembling the CLT panels and beams and they'd do a level a day! Their project was also pre-cut and drilled with a CNC machine. Just unbelievably efficient building assembly.
That is not merely a house - that is both sculpture and a feat of engineering. It is both poetry in wood and stone, and a monument. As you can see, I'm struggling to express how awesome this is!
Wow,wow, wow! I love the location of this beautiful and unique Tiny home. This is what I want sorrounded by Beauty of Nature. It's so Stunning! Thanks Bryce for sharing this inspiring Content. Keep safe 🙏❤️
I rarely comment on UA-cam, and have never commented on this channel, even though I've seen some really cool wee homes. But man. This place is GORGEOUS.
After all the years of watching your videos I never once thought about saying...this beautiful home was my favorite!!! Today I am saying this amazing home is my favorite!! Stunning 💞😘
I’m gobsmacked! 😮 Been following you for years and this is definitely in my top 5! I love the symmetry, simplicity, color choices, the gorgeous light fixture, and THOSE VIEWS!! Wow. I can’t even imagine how wonderful it would be to stay there! How fortunate you were to showcase this one! ❤
I know right! We were really fortunate to get to stay there for a few days. I also got to explore some of the surrounding area. The west coast is paradise!
So, we all try to "bring nature indoors", have a hundred plants, or funky plant wallpaper in a bathroom etc. This place just has... Windows 🤯. That rainforest is INSANE!! 😍🌿
Let's just say it all in synchronicity....WOOOOOWWWW!!! Such an excellent job and result, my highlight was hearing the family history and hearing from the brother architect Mark...Bryce, without you and Rasa we would not know of these architectural gems that exist in our own country...bless you both for bringing these amazing homes to show us and the world! And thank you Andrew for hosting us in your magnificent haven on the West Coast near those cool pancake rocks! Arohanui 💖
What an Incredibly beautiful cabin with stunning views. They designed and built a labor of love that the family can enjoy for many years to come. Thank you Bryce and Rasa For the visit !! Thank you to the Family that conceived such a cozy and relaxing Holiday home and gave us a peak inside !
Wow, when money is plentiful, and you’re a super creative architect with a passion for detail and simplicity of design (even though we all know this was a major design challenge) you can create something truly extra-ordinary ! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That is one of the most beautifully designed "tiny" places I've ever seen. What a great holiday break that would make amongst nature like that and with those views...
Even though I’m not a typical fan of black industrial type of designs, this is gorgeous. The basics in decor/color keeps you in awe of the jungle you’re surrounded by. Those views are breath taking.
These guys are living my dream, to retire on the West Coast of NZ settled into deep native bush miles from other neighbours. Architect is on game here, using cross laminated framing is not common in NZ but I can see the benefits, well done!
Gorgeous cabin. I love the cozy, in the woods vibe and simplicity, yet with a flush toilet. And it’s been so solidly built. I’d need a bit more kitchen but otherwise it’s perfection.
Cassandra Scott, I would, you are out in the woods far away from any town, if you are planning more than a couple of days you need a refrigerator, I didn't see a vent, but I wasn't sure what was the stove. But all in all, certainly is lovely.
@@bkm2797 I was thinking along the lines of staples we have such as pasta, flour, pulses, tinned goods, etc, that fill our food cupboards that wouldn't be needed on holiday but yes, agree, it's lovely. Wowsome in fact.
Casandra Scott, that ran through my mind as well, but dry goods can be placed anywhere, altogether I agree it would be best to be located where you are cooking. Wish they would come back in a couple of years to see if they made any changes to the kitchen. Cheers
This is such an incredible build and location! Absolutely stunning and you can feel it through the screen! What a way to unplug, reconnect and get grounded!
Love it! Definitely worth a double. 😂 We had such an amazing time filming this place. The nearby hike that he mentions in this video is seriously one of the most beautiful walks I've ever been on. Stunning!
Bryce, you're a hoot to give your final words from a bathtub! I can't stop laughing! I have to admit this is one unique cabin with exquisite views from all around! I've really enjoyed seeing this little cabin.
I love how they worked around the trees and the fact that they are building on top of limestone. It shows how careful they were to protect as much as possible the forest/vegetation instead of destroying everything just to accommodate a structure. Great architecture all in all. The skylights are amazing and the window in the bedroom is truly breathtaking. 👏👏👏
What a magical oasis this gentleman created while paying homage to his family roots. He blended those ideas very well and it shows throughout the build. Love the atrium area at the center. So much natural lighting and views.
Every Saturday Morning (IST), I wake up expecting a new video on this Channel, and watch it on TV while having my breakfast. It is so inspiring to listen to stories, and to see the love people put into such cute, gorgeous, yet minimalistic homes. Hopefully, one day I'll get to live in one ❤️
That location is so stunning and mindblowing it doesn't even look real, like something out of a CG film; and he lives in the center of it. Wow. The structure itself is incredibly well engineered, very impressive both aesthetically and pragmatically.
Every time I watch an episode of Living Big in a Tiny House, I am amazed at the creativity of people to build a unique place. Also, while watching each episode I always imagine where Bryce will make his final comment, and this time as soon as I saw the bathtub, I knew it!
This deceptively "simple" design captures the essence of blending the inner space with the spectacular outdoors. The focus is on nature, and the design beautifully complements the the surroundings. As an architecture student, stuff like this is what I dream of designing as a passion project, to get back to the initial joy of design and detail from the very beginning, but actually build it for real.
This 'tiny' cabin is absolutely stunning. I love the uniqueness and the simplicity of the design. At the same time it's not hard to see the challenges that went into this type of build even from this video. The views are out of this world; literally every window is a picture window. This cabin is more like a gorgeous sculpture - really beautiful!
This home is a dream come true. What a fabulous vision and execution of amazing building materials and the skill to put it all together. Thanks for showing it to us.
Wow! Wow! Wow! This is stunning! How could you not relax and leave the chaos behind in an amazing beautiful place like this! Kudos to the architect for trying out his wonderful skills! Enjoy!
The design of the rooftop reminds me of our traditional Joglo house in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Beautiful cabin, so cozy and calm. Perfect for a retreat. Thanks for another awesome video, Bryce & Rasa.
You can clearly say that a professional architect was involved in the construction. Just mind blowing design with stunning environment. This a perfect home, could make for an amazing Airbnb family getaway ❤
Love the intricacies of this tribute to "involved simplicity" - what a loving legacy to the family. And Bryce - it's ALWAYS a delight to see you settled into the newest (seductive) bathtub.
Simple? That is a great feat of design and building (anything but simple). I'm in love. Outside/inside is absolutely spectacular. From the cavanous ceiling, the skylights, the window views, the living room, the kitchen, the bathroom, the placement of the house; all of it is extremely beautiful. The most amazing project with a sprinkle of family. I'm in awe.
Simplistic yet not, that's an incredible feat of engineering 😮 And the view outside every window is beyond astounding. That light feature is incredibly unusual 😮 What a truly remarkable unique place ❤❤❤
This is soooooo cute, love it and surround with nature beautifully designed. And the large window looking out come on who doesn’t love that. The view the views that Rasa has captured is breathtaking ❤️❤️This is on the list. Thanks Bryce and Rasa for sharing from the tub 😂
This is my choice for a tiny home. The architecture is out-of-this-world perfection. I am calling this tiny home “A Woodland Zen Temple!” The word cabin doesn’t do this home justice. The interior decor enhanced the architecture perfectly. Raisa, your filming brought out its uniqueness and beauty. This woodland Zen temple should receive the highest award in architecture. I am seriously in love!!! Thank you for bring so much beauty in my life today❤
Thanks for showing us a part of New Zealand I didn't know about before. Amazing result on a difficult site, but the views from the windows make it worthwhile.
This has got to be the best Tiny House from your channel, not only the impressive architecture and attention to detail but the location and the view from all windows are absolutely stunning.
What an epic build! Flawless presentation throughout. The playful wrap up ending was particularly enjoyable. Bryce and Rasa just leveled up even more. Status: Super PRO!
The best cabin I've ever seen. It's definitely a dream...however didn't anyone else find it strange to see Bryce walking around with so much space above him?😂
My apartment - in a large retirement community - has has two camelback sofas facing each other with a modestly interesting rug between. One end wall has sliding glass doors to the outside and a pass-through to the kitchen on the other end. Tho there's a bedroom, i sleep on one of the camebacks, using a lightweight comforter, with my feet facing the view with is trees and shrubs. My heart is so thankful that God has granted me this final home before Heaven.
Hello Bryce and Rasa! I believe this is the first tiny home I have every seen with enough room around the commode to sit without hitting something! This bathroom is almost perfect. I can't get in and out of a regular tub, so I would have to change to either a Handicapped Tub Shower Combo or just a Shower with a seat in it. But other than that, I love this bathroom! The whole place would be a great place for us to vacation or visit for the weekend - if the tub/shower deal was changed. The view with all those trees is kinda like where we live now. Kinda. We don't have that many trees surrounding us, but we can look out and see the woods and stuff, but we do have a cleared space for a yard and a garden area. Of course, for us to even visit a place like this or any other, it would have to be in the USA, as I don't travel out of the country. Love watching videos of other countries though. Love you guys! Good job.
I’m somehow reminded of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water in Pennsylvania - particularly in how the structure inhabits the natural setting so harmoniously. I also wonder what kind of birds and other wildlife would amble across those window views. Kudos to the architect!
Amazing home. It could not be in a better location with no need for any curtains on the windows. Talk about privacy! I was expecting a dinosaur to walk up and look thru the windows. lol
By far my favorite of all your tinies..Stunningly beautiful. The flora outside is primordial...without the bush features outside, it wouldn't be the same. Very insprining.
I love these unique tiny houses and cabins with interesting shapes! Sadly a tiny house on wheels don't give as much to work with given the restriction on height and width, how cool would it be if you could move around with this cabin?
I saw the water in the bath... oh no Bryce can't finish the video in the bath... BRYCE IN THE BATH! YAS IT'S BEEN SO LONG 😂 also we all know now Bryce LOVES dark bathrooms hehe so it was a no-brainer. But filling up the bath? ahhh sneaky hahahaha
Wonderful design! However, it worries me that it sits atop limestone. Despite all their precautions, I know that limestone can suddenly collapse underneath into a sinkhole and houses disappear at anytime, not years in the future. No one can see what is going on underneath you.
Like this cabin! The construction, building, layout, and space on the outside and the colors, decor, appliances (kitchen and bath) on the inside. Great! 😊💯💯👌👆👍👏
This beautiful and amazing tiny home looks like it has been designed with using it as a Bed & Breakfast in mind. Sumptuous luxury appointments in a "hide away" location; sounds like an absolute dreamy holiday for some lucky clients!
@@livingbig That's interesting, I figured it'd be more common. I work as an engineer in the factory and draw the apartments in cad, send the files to a manufacturer who pre-cuts all the pieces and send them back for assembly. We use a traverse to lift everything into place, screw it together and down the line the shell goes. This project looked like a tiny home version of what happens at work, very fun to watch! Love the content from your channel overall, much love from a random dude in Sweden :)

Yep. "simple" exterior shape and maybe unadorned. That's where "simple" stops.

I love these unique tiny houses and cabins with interesting shapes! Sadly a tiny house on wheels don't give as much to work with given the restriction on height and width, how cool would it be if you could move around with this cabin?
This has got be among the most beautiful cabin and location.
Pure exquisite heaven
I saw the water in the bath... oh no Bryce can't finish the video in the bath... BRYCE IN THE BATH! YAS IT'S BEEN SO LONG 😂 also we all know now Bryce LOVES dark bathrooms hehe so it was a no-brainer. But filling up the bath? ahhh sneaky hahahaha
😂 You’re so right!
Spectacular. 30cm thick walls = 11.8 inches. Concrete piles foindation. Design. Amazing.
Great! 😊💯💯👌👆👍👏
Nice video Bryce but I would like a bit more detail on how they get services to such an isolated location water electricity internet
This beautiful and amazing tiny home looks like it has been designed with using it as a Bed & Breakfast in mind. Sumptuous luxury appointments in a "hide away" location; sounds like an absolute dreamy holiday for some lucky clients!
I work in a factory that mass produces apartments made from CLT, it's a very sturdy material to say the least
This was my first time seeing a project constructed using CLT. I'm really impressed!
