So cool looking trought comments and the people are all like "Whats pokemon GO?" "People still play pokemon?" "Dead game" Jeez man, its pokemon, it will always be alive '-'
I love, how everybody are saying that Pokemon Go is dead, because they don't play it (i don't play, but i know that there are of course people who still play).
This is all pretty good, but I'll be more willing to come back when they add actual trainer PvP and trading. Even then, I'm not entirely on board simply because I really hate the battle system in this game.
Mahogany Wood from having th mass it did yes, but if you compare it to other games still has higher daily active players. When 90% of people play and it drops by 20% that's a huge decline. Doesn't mean its still isn't over 70% of people.
My half brother's love this game. They are 12 and 10. They grew up on my old Pokemon cards and games and DVDs, they love pokemon GO too. And all the kids in their school do too. I catch a few Pokemon occasionally to keep them happy haha.
I like that that Gen 2 pokemon seem to have a better variety available. With Gen 1, it seemed like certain ones you could only find if you happened to stumble upon a nest and the rest of the time was just a parade of pidgeys and rattatas. And I feel like I got a ton of new ones in a short amount of time without much effort. But maybe it just seems that way because they're new.
Generation exclusive Pokemon is what I think makes it more interesting. For someone to be able to find everything in their back yard is like ash being able to catch all 700 something Pokemon in Kanto.
Niantic did a rebalance a couple of months ago that buffed and nerfed some pokemon. They held off on the Lapras nerf because they didn't want to power it down just before the Lapras event in Japan. The last update finally got him rebalanced.
I've always thought of this game, despite its initial success, as a missed opportunity. They could have each generation exclusive to each (sub)continent (eg. Gen1 = East Asia, Gen 5 = North America, Gen 6 = Europe). This encourages either people travelling internationally or trading, which can be used as a milking mechanism for their company besides buying balls.
It seems that evolution items might be given after your 7 day pokestop streak, so maybe that is a thing? I've never gotten a 7 day streak, but if I do I'll update.
This update has actually caused me to get back off my fat ass and go pokemon hunting again. I was one of the people that left the game after that first big "patch" that made catching pokemon impossible. I live in a semi-secluded area so my chances to get anything other than Ratata and Pidgeys were basically zero. I started a new character less than 12 hours ago, and I'm already level 10. Even though Sentret is now more common than Ratata, there has been a big increase in the variety of pokemon I'm able to catch. I'm honestly really happy with the updates. I already walked 20km just searching for pokemon today.
Well, this Gen 2 update sure has renewed my interest in the game, but I do have one minor complaint and that's that there are now even more common Pokemon to catch and it seems like there are fewer uncommon Pokemon sightings than before, but maybe that just makes it all the more exciting when uncommon Pokemon are found.
I wish Niantic would settle on one throwing mechanic. It's been a few updates since they've changed it, but this last major update changed it back to what it was 3-4 months ago. I prefer it, but it sucks getting used to one mechanic, when they might very well change it in the next update, yet again.
Lapras wasnt nerfed, it was balanced to match all the other pokemon, who were balanced back in the fall. Lapras wasn't rebalanced before because it was in the middle of the lapras event in Japan.
About the items needed to evolve specific pokemon. I finally got my first one on a seven day pokestop streak and everyone else I know that plays it also got theirs on their seven day pokestop streak. Maybe you can only get them on your seventh day pokestop?
Something important to note: Make sure that your phone has set Camera Permissions to ON. This happened to me and whenever i tried to encounter a wild pokemon it would crash the app.
The Muffinprincesa It has more *downloads* than Clash of Clans, not more active players. Most of these downloads are from last summer. It hasn't been relevant in months.
You forgot that wild Pokemon now give you more candy when they are already evolved. For example. a Charmander would give you 1, a Charmeleon would give you 5 and a Charizard would give you 10.
i couldnt play pokemon go when the hype started cuz my phone was too shitty, but after you made the vid that there is a new update and i have a new phone now i started to play it, and i like that sht :D
The new update borrowed a lot of things from the original games like gender differences, evolution items, time based evolution for Eevee. If they follow this pattern trading and pvp are still possible !
To get an eveolution thing: SUn Stone, Metal Coat, etc, you need to spin a pokestop on your 7th day streak, and it's 100% guarantee to get one of the evolution stones.
There is this water tower a few blocks away from my house and it is a flipping breeding ground, I caught a cyndaquil, a wobbufet, a natu, a murkrow, an omanyte, a spinarak, and more
I live outside the town, there are NO spawns or stops anywhere here. I haven't seen a single new Pokemon, I haven't seen a change in how often anything spawns. It's like the update didn't even happen to rural players
I wish this was still played a lot like when it first came out. It was amazing how it brought together people of all ages and types. and everyone just got along. every night and day people were out catching pokemon. Now...almost no one plays. I'm aware they supposedly still have many active users...But I mean I never see anyone around playing anymore. I havent touched this since it came out myself. maybe i'll give it another go...maybe
It'll only get interesting when Trading and Fighting other people online comes, also the ability to add your friends so you can check their progress etc, atm its so unsocial.
I'm enjoying the new generation update. It's refreshing to see since the game has been so stale lately. Honestly, if they update the game a tad more frequently it could become even better. I also want to note the new quality of life changes they made, especially the berry and pokeball wheels now present during encounters. It makes it much easier to switch to different balls and berries than before and is a welcome change.
I think it's a great update, a little overdue but nonetheless it's great. Hope this gets the ball rolling for niantic to update quicker, maybe every 2 and a half months or something
I wish every generation was made so that you had a different level for each generation so that new players can start once a new generation began because everyone is restarted, but there is also the version of the game that only uses generation 1 and everyone's progress is kept because I missed the launch of the game and now I cant get in BC everyone's so good
I feel like they waited way to long to release this update. I must agree I do like the new gen however with the late release there has been a massive dent in people who play it. What do you think?
Love seeing that this game is being updated but I still have a phone that is out of date and I cant play pokemon go still, can't wait till I actually get a phone that isn't 10 years old and can play something like this or clash royale.
Nest Pokemons change often anand laprases nerf was because in the lapras event every other pokemon except lapras was nerfed. So the finally got it nerfed. :)
I have a perfect IV Lapras which was ~2300CP and now it's like 1900.. I get that it was maybe little too op but there are others like that too like Snorlax Blissey has max CP of over 3200 and it also has the highest hp stats and even decent defense.. It's a monster and definitely needs a nerf too, Lapras didn't really seem too strong to me. So yeah just weird.
I just wish pokestops were more in suburbs and rural areas. I hate going into town just so i can get pokeballs. I stopped playing because i ran out of pokeballs.
personally, the changes to the gim meta game for battling are broken by the shear number of water type pokemon and grass/electric (especially) having some severe speed nerfs; while training is now a case of how quickly can you defeat the defending pokemon as time is now the most important factor, making the hole process kinda unrewarding and tedious :/ The end result is just going to be wide spread gim stagnation again.....
Some updates from the last few months including Generation 2 stuff for those looking to jump back in for the newly added Pokemon.

Cannot read. comment is for pros not noobs
Did they just assume my Pokemon's gender
Yes and either way it will be able to do stuff with a ditto thanks to it.
Mr Muffin dead joke
I think the game will pick up in popularity as soon as Spring starts
Does this patch include the rare Pokemon known as TheLegend27?
JimMcnugget No.......
JimMcnugget yes but he is very rare and he will kick your ass
JimMcnugget haha i know u from ur skyrim videos, and i found you out here haha, wazzup dude?
Who's TheLegend27?
+Luna “LunaGamesNL” Kingma Oh My god a Fan!! --cringe lol-- (Lol this hasn't happened to me beforeXD) & Not much dude XD
I love, how everybody are saying that Pokemon Go is dead, because they don't play it (i don't play, but i know that there are of course people who still play).
Grados doesn't mean it's not dead
Grados The game is irrelevant, it may not be completely dead but it's no longer this phenomenon so as far as the public is concerned it's dead.
Jeff Solis Irrelevant!? By that logic Clash Royal and Color Switch are irrelevant. Look at the top charts for free apps in the AppStore.
JPQ Studios In the mobile games department yes they are relevant but in the general sense pokemon go is no longer the phenomenon that it once was.
This is all pretty good, but I'll be more willing to come back when they add actual trainer PvP and trading. Even then, I'm not entirely on board simply because I really hate the battle system in this game.
yeah im with you there. im personaly wondering why they didnt just copy the normal batteling system fom other pokemon games
I love how detailed your videos are.
Every video is so professional, and I appreciate that.
Still not playing this game again
Ajster1234 AGREED
Nolan Shaw nobody cares :)
Ajster1234 bet you secretly bought pokeballs
k
Ajster1234 Then don't watch this.
I caught 2 Lapras in November and I leveled them both up to 2000 CP. 1 of them is now 1054 CP and the other is 985 CP. that's a bit of a gap.
James Bayliss I had a 2600 plus. Now it's 2000
Just be grateful you have a lapras :(
Very true. extremely rare to see. I must be the luckiest player on the game getting 2 in 5 mins from the same lure by my house
I feel you man Lapras was my strongest Pokémon. Now I don't even use it in the battles
This is still relevant?
TML I know, this is so old
For some people? Yeah! For us personally? Not so much.
So old? It's not even a year old. Jesus you kids are crazy anymore.

ThinkingOfYou75 especially since a real and better Pokemon game has come out. (I'm referring to Pokemon sun and moon)
Mahogany Wood look at the statistics man
Mahogany Wood from having th mass it did yes, but if you compare it to other games still has higher daily active players. When 90% of people play and it drops by 20% that's a huge decline. Doesn't mean its still isn't over 70% of people.
ThinkingOfYou75 Yeah
ThinkingOfYou75 yea you're right
Just went on a lovely walk around the cemetery next to my neighborhood and caught tons of Gen 2 pokemon. Love it so far.
A pokemon go video... WITHOUT A CLICKBAIT TITLE OR THUMBNAIL?!
I love you.
love the channel, keep doing this, videogames are part of me and with you guys, making this videos, i feel good.
Greetings from Nicaragua
My half brother's love this game. They are 12 and 10. They grew up on my old Pokemon cards and games and DVDs, they love pokemon GO too. And all the kids in their school do too. I catch a few Pokemon occasionally to keep them happy haha.

It has inspired me to come back to the game. I hadn't fully stopped but was contemplating as all I saw was the same pokemon I already had.
got me playing again
Aaron same

gameranx! congrats on 3million subscribers
Love your channel. I can see you put a lot of effort into your videos! Respect
I love this channel by far one of my favorites
HOW HAVE YOU NOT YET MADE A VIDEO ON POKEMON DUEL?!??!
But there still aren't any Pokémon in fields, forests or small villages. they are present only in bigger towns, and that pisses me off >:(
heracross is gen 2 south american exclusive and corsola is exclusive to tropic regions near the equator
Keep up the good work gameranx! Keep the content flowin
It seems that evolution items might be given after your 7 day pokestop streak, so maybe that is a thing? I've never gotten a 7 day streak, but if I do I'll update.
I like it the new inter face when you catch pokemon looks clean

Pokémon Go in my opinion is awesome with the addition of gen 2 Pokemon. I've bee playing since the game first came out and enjoyed it ever since.
We never used to find water type Pokemon because we live ages away from water, and now we are getting seels everywhere
One thing you got wrong here: there is one location specific Pokémon: Heracross is only found in South America.
I wish Niantic would settle on one throwing mechanic. It's been a few updates since they've changed it, but this last major update changed it back to what it was 3-4 months ago. I prefer it, but it sucks getting used to one mechanic, when they might very well change it in the next update, yet again.
hey man! great vid

i'm so thankful that the nests changed, my state capitol is now an electabuzz nest
This is just the 1st major update.
There are a lots of possible updates to keep this game growing.
why does everyone say it's dead? It's still very relevant.
Wicket Lucas Hahaha
Lennart Speetzen it has more players than clash of clans and still within top 10 charts of games making money on the phone
Lennart Speetzen clash royal *
Alpha Morty You're not relevant! Trendy my ass!
I think the key to get a evolution item is to get a 7 streak at pokestops.. I just got one today.
i couldnt play pokemon go when the hype started cuz my phone was too shitty, but after you made the vid that there is a new update and i have a new phone now i started to play it, and i like that sht :D
The new update borrowed a lot of things from the original games like gender differences, evolution items, time based evolution for Eevee. If they follow this pattern trading and pvp are still possible !
I might go back to this game for a couple of months
i hope pokemon go becomes a big thing again or at least to the point that if something saw u playing it they wounldnt say its a dead game
It's been awesome going back out with some friends and actually seeing others playing it.
In sponsored poke stops, you could have a chance that you could get a evolution item
To get an eveolution thing: SUn Stone, Metal Coat, etc, you need to spin a pokestop on your 7th day streak, and it's 100% guarantee to get one of the evolution stones.
the release was riddled with server problems
they fixed it a while later
finally it gets a good update
server problems are back
Another Awesome video! Keep it up!
0:32 is that the actully eggs for gen 2 now or is it just click bait bs?
the best part of pokemon go was the tracking system the first time it came out. Now hunting for pokemon isn't the same
They've improved the spawning a lot in this new update. it's awesome!
Also there's a Pokémon exclusive confirmed to only be found in Central and South American and its Heracross.
I like it, I found battling gyms are more difficult now
apparently heracross is regionally exclusive to central and south america which upsets me quite a bit
YOU MISSED THIS ONE: Giving Pinap Berry to the Pokémon you're trying to catch gives out 2 or 3+ more candies
Love this man. Probably gonna give it a second try. Thanks for the news on what is going on with this game :)
Trainertips did a video that said that the evolution items can be obtained with the 7 day streak on the pokestops. Hope thats true.
gen 2 is my favorite gen. so im happy it finally here.
Wigglytuff got nerfed too, she was never the strongest but now she's low-tier.
It'll only get interesting when Trading and Fighting other people online comes, also the ability to add your friends so you can check their progress etc, atm its so unsocial.
i'm in Team Instict and can't wait for casual (non gym) battles.
Apparently Heracross is exclusive to South America.
Which is good, because we had no exclusive Pokemon to date.
Pokémon go feel better
I'll play Pokemon Go again when PVP battles come out
I think it's a great update, a little overdue but nonetheless it's great. Hope this gets the ball rolling for niantic to update quicker, maybe every 2 and a half months or something
I'm about to start playing again. still wish they would have pokeballs if you login daily.
Gilbert Gutierrez I would have been happier if they postponed the game to work on future updates.
I found an up-grade at a pokestop yesterday.
actually want to get back into the game now. Mainly because my new phone actually has a working gps
This is a good update.
Trainer Tips channel shall not die!
Just wait until the Alolan Pokemon are added :3
i finally got Totodile, getting him was my life's dream
Love seeing that this game is being updated but I still have a phone that is out of date and I cant play pokemon go still, can't wait till I actually get a phone that isn't 10 years old and can play something like this or clash royale.
Nest Pokemons change often anand laprases nerf was because in the lapras event every other pokemon except lapras was nerfed. So the finally got it nerfed. :)
11. There are new character customization items and two new types of berries
I have a perfect IV Lapras which was ~2300CP and now it's like 1900.. I get that it was maybe little too op but there are others like that too like Snorlax
Blissey has max CP of over 3200 and it also has the highest hp stats and even decent defense.. It's a monster and definitely needs a nerf too, Lapras didn't really seem too strong to me. So yeah just weird.
I heard heracross is south Florida/ south america exclusive but i can confirm i live outside of Miami and have found a heracross
No trainer battles no download
Same
I just wish pokestops were more in suburbs and rural areas.
Heracross is a regional exclusive.
my first Gen2 Caught in Pokemon Go was Sentret and my 2ND is Chikorita
When the game first came out I managed to catch a Lapras on my second day of playing
