You are so selfless!!! I love that you are so willing to help smaller crafters out. You are such a wonderful person!!!!
Zsuzsanna Nicholls I think being kind, generous and willing to allow time to help others is what makes me happy. That is why I reached out to Lisa and help other crafters find the cardboard jars
Ariane Arsenault your kindness shows in everything I’ve watched you do. 🥰🥰
@@ArianeArsenaultdefinitely helps!
Hi Ariane, I was the global manufacturing director for Lush for 25 years and I wanted to reach out to tell how how impressed I am with what you have achieved. Many congrats!
Shaune Bowers well wow! 😮 Thank you! I am glad to have you as one of my viewers! Thank you very much for your comment. Where are you now?
@@ArianeArsenault I am in Vancouver, BC :)
I meant what do you do now? Still in the cosmetic business?
@@ArianeArsenault I am yes, a new brand launching next year..
I sent you a direct message on your facebook page.
I love that you are fair trade, and your creations are marvelous. You introduce us to different suppliers, and to me that is fabulous.
Immaculate Organic Soaps thank you! I love to share when it helps!
@@ArianeArsenault that is much of what makes you so special in and of yourself! Thank you for being you.😘🙌🙌
Yes, cardboard in a pushup tube.
I remember watching you years ago when soap was made in your basement. Just when you were working on your new workshop I got busy and haven't watched for years. I'm in awe at how much your business has grown and all the beautiful products you make and sell. I love it. Busy catching up on videos now😊
Calistar Lim nice having you back! Thanks!
I remember that too. She was one of the first channels I ever subscribed too. I was Wow this youtube thing is amazing.
I really appreciate how much you have been working to be environmentally conscious.
I've been watching the Shea butter from nut to usable butter this week, I've watched Shea butter being hand processed in different area of the same country and other countries and all but one was completely handmade, one of the ones I watched was the baraka Shea and another was a lady who had collected 4 containers from 1 country all hand made just different areas and the colours and smell and texture were all different but the chemical makeup was exactly the same when tested with the litmus type test. Its all very interesting and wonderful to see how hard these women work everyday.
Tanya Bonnett they work SO hard and they produce one of natures best butter ❤️
Hi Ariane! Thank you for sharing all of this amazing information, this is really going to help makers large and small get on board with sustainable packaging.
I love the cardboard packaging!!!
I've been buying from Paris Fragrance and I love everything I purchased. Thanks
Definitely want a video review and demonstration of the body butter stick
ShaunTay McCarthy it wasn’t perfect for the stick. In the jars it is wonderful. I will reformulate with wax for the sticks
Good evening, I use and like both. Your products are awesome...Keep inspiring!
It’s a treat to watch
I live in a very hot and humid climate, cardboard containers sound like a goopy nightmare. But for cold and mild/dry climates, they would be really cool! Lightweight is nice,
They didn't work well for my hemp salves at all.
You seem so excited and enthusiastic
Hi, Ariane! I just sign up for a patreon account, I'm excited! I've been looking your posts there and I love your passion and the peace on your voice. Keep doing such a great job ❤️
Always neat and inspiring ❤
Nice and simple, thank U so much for sharing.
I love Baraka Shea Butter. I am a customer of them as well. The owner is so nice and helpful.
Beautiful thank you so much for sharing we truly appreciate you ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you for the video. And I sooo understand the no waste of butter, my grandbabies love when I am producing because they know Im going to butter us all up with the residue that left behind : ))))
😂 all that’s so sweet…I can just imagine them lining up to get buttered up
so lovely! ❤❤
💖💞So luxurious and creamy looking. I know that it’s amazing to your skin!
Country Cottage Candles and Soaps it is the best! I love it, I have been testing so many new formulas lately... my skin is SO soft! 😂
So sad to see the product it’s already sold out 😔But very pleased that you sold them all! Love your videos you have inspired me to start making soaps myself
Great! Thanks!
Thank yu Ariane!
Super, j'aimerais bien assister, un jour, à un de tes ateliers ;)
From Ghana......love ur videos. Happy to know ur Shea butter came from Ghana......👍
miss odof 1 Hi! So happy to have viewers from Ghana! I love the shea butter from Ghana! I always come back to it.
Love your videos. How did the push up stick work with your balm?
Bacuri butter looks like dark brown sugar! Yum!
Thank you 😘
A push-up tube may be great to use all of the product. Jars are awesome but sometimes difficult to get the contents of the bottom. I love your business!
I'm going to try the jars. I like a twist up tube. not sure how you would get it down if you pushed it up to far
Love ur videos ...So we don't have to whip it?
I love push up tubes! I would interested in purchasing if it works out for you! Exciting!!
Hello first of all thank you for your videos I loved them. I have a question idk that you can tell me but I have a doubt I made a two layered loaf of soap and the middle of the soap separated but not the sides could you please help me with that pls , I’m new at this thank you .
I think they would make a beautiful Golden "Whipped" butter!
Loved the video thanks where do you get your labels from please :-)
Good afternoon. Love your videos. The big pouring pot that you use too poor into your jars. Is that a 8 cup or 12 cup? And where can I purchase them at please.
Hello Ariane. Do you have a recommendation for a good lotion for psoriasis? I heard shea butter is good. Would this be a good one to get? And what soap would you recommend?
Hello! How long did it take for your shea butter to come in? I love your channel.
Hi! I cannot find body butter on your website. Do you no longer make it? I love your channel
I'm not doing well in making body butters.. Will try again
How come it is not whipped? Is there a nutrient difference between whipped and not? Just curious. Looks like wonderful products.
i'm not sure if she mentioned this in her video, but, make sure you keep your hand clean and non greasy while filling your cardboard tubes. They can become greasy very easily (and you cant wipe it off!!) so make sure you have a cloth near by to wipe your hands every so often.
Love your videos 😊. I do find it sad that these eco friendly containers are not available for smaller individual orders. Etzy does have eco friendly containers for smaller orders for anyone like myself who want to get away from using plastic but are making products for friends, family and gifts. 😊
Hello,
How do you determine the validity date of a 100% natural product, be it cold saponified soap, balm, etc.?
Thank you in advance for your response
Hi mam I am from India I am your big fan
You have beautiful hands. Must be from using your own products. I prefer straight cocoa butter because of eczema. The cardboard containers are a great idea.
loren stribling I leave a chunk of cocoa butter in my bathroom. So when I get out of the bath/shower I rub it all over myself. I do use both these other butters as well but cocoa is an old stand by.
Hai I am from India in a similar homemade enterpreneur I usually love to watch your channel with my wife I would like to know from where I can get this compostable packing jars and related products..?
Hello what ratio were you using with both butters? As far as amount of each.
Where did you get your hot plates from? And how much please?
Still no shipping to Europe??? Lovely product. Cardboard is awesome! I like the push up tubes because there would be less underneath my finger nails.
Irene Meyer sadly no shipping to Europe as my insurance company wouldn’t insure me if I did 😢
Where do you get your labels?
I was intrigued by the Bakuri butter from Paris fragrances. I was going to purchase some. I don’t see much about it. I love trying more exotic ingredients. How are your babies? They probably not babies anymore.
Answer your question I love card board jars for the environment but I confess I reuse my glass and plastic jars for myself.
Is it one part Bacuri to 3 parts Shea??? Kindda confused as to how to mix the two.
I love cardboard packaging because it doesn’t harm the planet
Did you try the stick, did it slide out easy and slide on the skim well? I think I’d like one so my fingers don’t get oily. Also, does this lotion need to be kept in the fridge?
tia maribu no fridge needed as this is an anhydrous product
Have you used the cardboard containers for cream poducts? How does the packaging stand-up to the oil and daily usage? Any leakage or discoloration of the package? What about the package fraying or coming undone while using?
Alisha Simms as far as the containers holding up, I have been testing them since last July and am using my own products made in them. They haven’t deteriorated and the only thing is the cardboard can get oily from your hands. Which doesn’t alter the durability of the jar, but it will show some staining. Which to me, isn’t a big deal. As for cream and emulsions, they don’t seem to work that good as the cream can dry out as this container isn’t 100% hermetic. They are best for anhydrous products.
@@ArianeArsenault Ahhh... Thanks for responding. I will consider eco-friendly options.
Can you give us your supplier I don’t want to order in a group I can order by the hundreds I love all your products you have taught me so much I appreciate you so much
Is the bakuli butter good to use in hair conditioner?
Chronic Butterfly yes it is! Bacuri is great for skin and hair and I use it in both my solid shampoos and conditioners
You can also get them in smaller amounts on SKS bottles :)
Hoping I can get larger amount on SKS to because getting ready to go look there
I have tested SKS and will not buy the cardboard containers from them again. I love SKS for many other packaging options, but their cardboard containers just aren’t sturdy as these I am using now
Oh dear! Good to know, never used the cardboard ones but saw them when getting other stuff
Those jars are gorgeous! Where can I get them?
D. Hodak there is a link for a prebuy in the video description box. My friend Lisa will be able to help you, just find the info in my description box below the video
@@ArianeArsenault not look for a third party to up the price.. but thank you for helping someone make some monies... is awesome being able to help out your friends from time to time... trying to get a friend of mine to do this but she wont and I don't got time...lol... I am sure you k ow about that one
Ariane, what is your favorite thing to make?
Tuxedo Cat new stuff? Lol! I don’t know. I love making everything I make
@@ArianeArsenault ♥️ I would like to know how to start a soap business on a shoestring...where to start selling...how did you do it? I'm an accountant also, funny, I love your analytical process. You're a good teacher. I live in Louisiana.
These would be irresistible if you supplemented them with eucalyptus and spearmint essential oil. My Lord. I would give up caffeine to afford them
Brandy Collins really? Give up caffeine! Thanks that is a compliment 🙃
I like the idea of cardboard packaging. But I don't find it to be durable enough, and my customers tend to grab a jar before a cardboard tube.
Kim Mullican we each have a different customer base. Right now people are really loving the cardboard jars down here.
Who is the supplier of the containers? There are some people that want to buy a larger amount of containers.
Cee W It’s in the description.
Where do u get your label machine from
Connie Anderson I don’t have a label machine. I just print them on my laser printer and cut each by hand
Connie Anderson I don’t have a label machine. I just print them on my laser printer and cut each by hand
Ok thank you
I never buy less than a few hundred of any jars/containers as so much cheaper.
Would you mind sharing where you got your jars from... not 3rd party please
i hope it will be available next time i place an order : )
lotion stix
ThickemsUP I only made jars so far! I think for lotion sticks I will have to add a little beeswax and a little oil as it was difficult to push it up. I will play with formulation and see what I come up with 😊
Sanitation matters...you stated you put these butters for sale on your website, but you weren't wearing gloves during the preparation. 😮
Glassjars
Riverunner glass is great, but it breaks if dropped and as a mom, broken glass is always a concern for me..
