    Ariane, hi darling. Next time, place your mould on a tray. It makes it easier to tap and level the batter that's in the cavities. You just pick up the tray and tap ot on the surface. Works like a charm. Love from Pretoria, South Africa 🇿🇦 ❤️

      Thank you! I didn’t place it on a tray as I didn’t plan on moving it after the pour. But I do work often in trays. ❤

    Can you use a stainless steel pot with a pour spout to mix and pour your cold process soap into molds or does soap thicken too much to exit the spout efficiently?
    Sorry for the newbie question i think im trying to reinvent the way soap making is done. In my mind im trying to simplify the process but might end up complicating it for myself.

    Do you highlight Gaultherie on your packaging as it is methylsalicylate and people allergic to aspirin and anti inflammatory drugs could have a crossed reaction to this too? I have gaultherie, and haven’t used it yet in my soaps by fear of contamination of all my material. My cousin, to whom I give lots of my soaps, could die of anaphylactic reaction to it.

    Can you imagine if that was a loaf mold and leaving it for 3 days. 😂 that would be a nightmare. No way could you cut it.

      Which is why I use these cavity molds. They are perfect for salt bars. :-)

    I tried soap bars but in drying process they just pull in water.. end up wet. Guess I need a dehumidifier.... i look at your soaps and they look so lovely.

      Which type of salt did you use? This is very important as dead sea salt, epsom salt draw moisture to soap. Not good for salt bars.

    What is the difference between your soap making class verses the ones I can take for free?

    • @ArianeArsenault
      @ArianeArsenault  7 місяців тому +4

      You can learn soapmaking any way you want, pay for or free. Many people have been requesting that I teach them because they didn’t find what they were looking for online.
      I believe many people love my approach, my personality and the way I teach in a comprehensive way. ☺️

    If you wanted to stamp a logo into your soap, I presume you would do this immediately after unmolding?

    • @ArianeArsenault
      @ArianeArsenault  8 місяців тому +1

      Normally yes, but salt bars are so hard, I’m not sure it would stamp well. I would have to test.

    I tried making salt bars and they didn’t go hard. Sat for over a week and whilst some did go semi hard some were still soft.
    I used sea salt . Will have to try again not sure what I did wrong
