@@mpizzle13 I bought it from the Maserati dealer but if you check the link of the video I added a link for Amazon and this other website which is OEM check them out.

The coolant temp sensor sits behind to the left side of the engine. Check out this link. Open up the diagram. It’s number 20. www.scuderiacarparts.com/part-finder/maserati/ghibli/oe/176/3827/67448
Here are two places where you can get the part Thermostat www.scuderiacarparts.com/part/435151/maserati/330424/thermostat-assembly.html Thermostat amzn.to/41emMZk the one from amazon might say that it dose not fit Ghibli but if you cross reference the part number with the one in scuderia its the same.
I just replaced mine. Check engine light is still on and now the temp fluctuates a lot more than I ever noticed as well as the fan seems louder and stays on longer after turning the car off.
Make sure you bleed the air out completely. Do the bleeding procedure a couple of time. To make sure the air is out. That can make the car run hot. Check coolant level. As far the check engine, you have to cycle the car a couple times and what I mean by that is the car has to cycle a couple of cold starts before the check engine goes off on itself or if you have an OBD2 reader, you can reset it then.
Love this vid, was very helpful as my 2018 Quattroporte was running too cool. I Got an off topic question Ron. Do you have a video of you changing the power steering fluid? If so can u reply with the link & what fluid you used? Thanks in advance.
Great walkthrough bonus points for naming the Allen 5MM size!
Thanks bro.
Thank you for this video, my CEL just came on for a bad thermostat and you gave me a guide to do the replacement which isn’t too bad
Glad it helped

What size hose clamp you use for the thermostat to rad hose?
I just updated the link amzn.to/3sTQje0
Hi, what size are the clamps that you remove? Especially the larger one ?
On the video description, I link the clamps that I used check out the links.
Have you seen the 12 inch screen for the Ghibli, have you thought about installing that? I want to install it but I can't find a good video on it.
Do you mean like the Tesla screen?
Where is the temperature sensor at? Is tht in a different location?

@@RonDIYMods thanks so much, do you know how to access this part of the engine?
I just want to add something important to this Make sure that your system is full of antifreeze when you bleed the line

I was wondering did you have to drain the radiator fluid entirely first? I assume you didn’t drain and had minimum fluid loss.
You’re right I did not drain. I just lost the fluid when pulling out the thermostat that’s it.
Any chance of knowing where I can get one ? Cause they’re in a back order from Maserati dealership ?

Where did u purchase the thermostat from?
@@JoonBalloonI got mine from the dealer but upon researching more I found some on amazon and another website. Links are in the description of video.

tutti difettati questi termostati ?
No I don’t think so. My Ghibli has 78,000 miles before this thermostat when bad. It’s just routine maintenance.

Hey thank you for watching and I’m glad you found my video helpful. I haven’t done the power steering fluid yet but I will soon. Stay tuned.
