Great video and great explanation. Question, I had a read about I need to replace the 4th cylinder ignition coil. I just got the part but, how do I know, which one is the 4th? Thank you in advanced… 2016 Maserati Quattroporte SQ4
@@nickcascioli7436 you can put some grease on the top of the plug. I would not put any anti seize or grease on any thread. It will mess up the torque specs
@@WRXSNOWBOARDER that’s for sure. I changed the spark plugs on my 08 Legacy and I will never ever ever ever do that again. There was literally no room to work.
@@WRXSNOWBOARDER thank you for your videos. Now i can go ahead and buy the spark plugs and just double check them to make sure they are pre gap correctly. 😮😮😮
Nice to see Ghibli content! Thanks!
Nice job man the Maserati is beautiful
Thanks a lot man

All the ignition coils should have a number on them. I believe no4 is the driver top. (Top right if looking from the front of the car)
Great. I found the small labels at the end of the cables, a little faded but I could see it and just replaced the part.
Thank you so much…
💯
@@pjblest awesome. Glad you help
Hi. Thanks for the great work. At what kmiles interval should I change the spark plugs?
58000 kilometers is recommended
Do you have to use a Torque?
@anointedmusiq The torque for spark plugs on a Maserati Ghibli is 23 Nm. I just tighten it up close to half a turn once it's tight with a wrench.
Awesome video! Puts me at ease when I do my 2019 Quattroporte plugs and coils. Do you use dielectric grease and anti seize on this job?
@@nickcascioli7436 you can put some grease on the top of the plug. I would not put any anti seize or grease on any thread. It will mess up the torque specs
Easy peasy since the spark plugs are not on the sides 😂. Nice video man!
I know. Literally took no time at all. I'd do all 6 of these anyway over the other 4.

Did your check engine light come on or was the car shaky that let you know your spark plugs needed replacement?? Or how did you know
@memolocs01 i wasn't having any issues. Maserati recommends a service at 37,500 miles which includes changing spark plugs and filters.

@memolocs01 no problem. The plugs should be fine put of the box but it's a good idea to double check.
What torque did you use (pounds) to finish the install?
7.4 ftlbs or 10nm
Thank you so much!
