It's called a hard sell, it works because it has its own name. It's scummy, but they can just move onto the next customer which probably has a better chance of closing than you because chances are, they aren't going to ask for a weird 0.33% discount. Negotiation is one thing, but in the world of investment, if we're talking big amounts, if someone's worried about these tiny numbers from the start, they aren't a good partner.
@@zakthescout but the same argument can be made for you. If you’re gonna deny a measly discount that in the long run, is chump change compared to the rest of it, why should the other person be lead to believe that person is a good partner if chump change is a problem for them?
@@darianromero3532 It's principles, for the seller, he's evaluating the partner from the go. The seller can talk to 200 people in a day over the phone. To me, seeing someone ask for a $100 discount off $30,000 just comes off as odd, though this dude and his "University" seems sus without any prior research done by myself. I personally wouldn't do business with someone worried about the small amounts of money in the beginning. @@zakthescout your argument doesn’t make any sense though, in the context of the video. @@jakdee1295 Incorrect evaluation, but I'm glad you tried, those are MY principles and I said as much, any real seller will try to convince him otherwise, however if it comes down to a deal breaking issue, a concrete stand on a microscopic discount, only a fool would do business with someone like that, they're negotiating the wrong way.
Eyeing potential red flags is huge in maximizing long term potential for a string of partners. To me, seeing someone ask for a $100 discount off $30,000 just comes off as odd, though this dude and his "University" seems sus without any prior research done by myself. I personally wouldn't do business with someone worried about the small amounts of money in the beginning. It's a sign of lack of financial solvency, which can be a moral concern and a business one as well. Would this person be able to stay a long term partner? Are they putting themselves at financial risk with the investment? Etc etc
@@zakthescout your argument doesn’t make any sense though, in the context of the video. He’s clearly not worried if he’s a good partner or not, he’s actively convincing him that to worry about whether $100 is an amount worth caring about. If he was really worried about him being a good partner, he’d scrap the deal simply because he’s asking for $100 off the amount. It can’t be both.
He simply pushed the person on his product the right way and got a deal.
