      @@m4line well what it does is gives them the opportunity to bring their objections to the forefront. Ideally they say no , but it a real question to get them to tell you what may stop them and when they do so you can deal with the objection right there. As opposed to them keeping it bottled up and just changing their mind without you knowing. It’s better for them to tell you what’s wrong and give you an opportunity to ease their mind and at least a fighting chance to explain than for them to just not buy in the end and you don’t even know why or what you did wrong.

    This technique actually works when it comes to dating. Five years ago there was this woman who I thought was out my league (looks wise) but I watched this video an insane amount of times and picked up on a couples things; Like how to be aggressive but respectful, to show high value, and to not beg, and to have them wanting your attention. I realized that the goal wasn't to have her say "yes" to date, but it was to make her grateful I even asked her out. It's not narcissism - it's the mentality you need because you have to have confidence that what you're offering the person is worth THEIR time, not yours. Five years later, I'm married to that woman. Great video, Mr. GC !

  • @GodsChildBri

    I thought that was pretty cool. His assertive nature, the way he just simply broke it down into a percentage of what the client was already paying -- just make it easy for the client to understand. You're not gonna sell to every person you talk to but keeping cool and presenting it to them as common sense will get you to your yeses! Inspiring. I also love how he made sure there were no other hidden objections by just asking point blank, "do you have any other concerns that might make you change your mind?" Awesome.

    • @GodsChildBri
      @GodsChildBri 8 років тому +4

      And people are saying it's fake but even if it was it still demonstrates the proper attitude and a good method of overcoming an objection on price. People in sales will benefit from that.

    3:17 ❝$1500 a month... that's your objection, is the cost? (He's moved already.)❞ What Grant means is this:
    The guy already believes in:
    ✅ Grant (the provider)
    ✅ the product
    ✅ his team to execute on the product
    Now it's a matter of 'making sense of', or justifying the price/payment terms... which is why Grant expands the cost from $1500 to it's maximum of $40k. Grant expands the cost for 3 reasons:
    #1: every business owner HATES recurring costs. This expansion shifts the perspective to a one-time cost
    #2: Expanding the cost expands the problem, and people subconsciously know that solving a bigger problem auto-resolves smaller problems (for example, a single guy who feels anxious to message one girl... that's a tiny problem... if the guy would become more attractive and have multiple girls to date, he never cares about one tiny message to one girl)
    #3: if the prospect can justify that he's already spent $40k elsewhere, then he can do it here, hence the question:
    ❝When was the last time you spent $40,000?❞

    • @BenRangel
      @BenRangel 3 роки тому +2

      "every business owner HATES recurring costs" is this really some universal truth. I feel like tons of sales pitches are based on the exact opposite. Even Grant's own. He sometimes breaks down costs to a per week cost and says that makes people feel like it's less money

    You don't have to be in "sales" to get value out of this either. It's called winning with people and getting people to do what's in their best interest. Hey Grant. I gotta say this video is incredible. I am not a sales person, or in the auto industry. But I did do sales 12 years ago and FAILED HARD! But the difference was I didn't believe in what I was doing. I felt I didn't deserve their money for my product.
    Anyways, in this video, I see someone who believes in what they are doing and selling. I can see now why "no" is not something to be afraid of, if you truly believe in what you offer. A "no" is just the customer not realizing (yet) how much what you offer will help their lives/business SO much for the better.
    This has motivated me to "re learn" what sales REALLY is (not the bad thing I used to think it was), so I can be more influential/persuasive, and sell myself and my work in my career.
    Keep doing what you do!

      Selling to high income potential clients as a Broker was the most fun I've ever had. I'd find new ways of knocking them off their high horse and at the end they'd ask me to keep them in the loop. That ends up in them calling me because I don't call scrubs back, "I'm so busy" you'll tell them and now you have the hook in them so deep you can ask anything of them. Learn, learn and learn. So I do like the fact that Grant said i'll offer to give you a 20/40 min presentation whenever you want. And when he said quarterly, no problem. All that takes up his time, and I may not have the greatest respect for him and his business. But whenever someone says they'll personally do it. That deserves respect. He's actually helping out his sales people get the deal over the line.

    The guy has good sales techniques. The opening question is fantastic - "Why were you interested in in the first place?" - Good question, make the customer focus on the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and then slowly reel them in. Feed double-layered questions where the outcome is a positive view of your company and product. Build trust, don't bullshit, be short and simple.
    However; This is a completely staged call. It's fake.

    What everybody here is missing is the POSTURE, self confidence and "speaking the same language" as the other person. Usually the average sales person that is talking to a business owner is talking from position of weakness. Here Grant goes owner to owner, no BS, let's just get it done attitude. Very good technique but hard to duplicate when a "sales rep" is talking to a business owner unless they really build up their posture and self confidence to pull it off.

Once Grant got on the call the first thing he had Carlos do was reiterate the reason he called in the first place, and then showed him that the expense would be a worthwhile investment not a cost. After Grant's direct request for the sale grant just needed to assuage Carlos with several kindhearted assurances and the deed was done.

    • @patri0tstar
      @patri0tstar 9 років тому +33

      +Pingvindosis1 Let's be honest though. Unless you want the product you will also not buy from a relaxed monotoned salesperson either. It would be like thumbing through a catalogue. The goal of a salesperson isn't to tell you what they have for sale, it is to get you to buy. A monotoned salesperson is like a catalogue while an enthusiastic salesperson is like a giant sign hanging outside your supermarket in bright neon colors with bold text saying "BUY ONE GET ONE FREE!"

    • @farceadentus
      @farceadentus 9 років тому +18

      +Pingvindosis1 I agree, I'm from London, and an American salesman once called me up trying to sell me something using this kind of strategy and attitude. I laughed at him. I found it hilarious, like I was in some Hollywood movie.
      This American style strategy does not work with European, UK mentalities. It comes across as comedy to them.

    • @patri0tstar

    • @RRL110
      @RRL110 9 років тому +11

      +patri0tstar I sell for a living and neither monotone or hyped up psycho work. Being passionate about what you have to offer. Believing in your product with honest interest in helping your prospects goes a long way. Also you don't push your product on a customer right away. You have to draw them out and show some interest in what they are doing in order to uncover a potential problem your product might solve. If you can show them what you have to offer will actually be a valid valuable solution they will want to buy it. People love to buy things, they just don't want you to be sold to. Some people will go for this guys routine but many will also run in the opposite direction. One customer may go for Grants routine and another may go for the monotone guy. I have worked in large sales depts and many different personalities are selling. They all have some customers that buy. They are all different. But. everyone will go for the method I just explained. Most that go for the push guy or the monotone guy are already considering a purchase and they just needed the call. Those types are what the average sales guy runs into. You make 100 calls a day and just the odds allow you to sell to them.

He asked the right questions but would put off most people by asking too many "closed end" questions instead of focusing more on the main one " What is your primary goal?" After that he talked too much. I once closed a 1 million per year deal per year for 20 yrs in 12 minutes and we coached our people to Fact find, present, and close, including the instructions to the client.. Overall, Shorten his solution presentation, and its better than most, but not worth paying for.

    a) as pointed out by others, they don't blank out the callers' numbers or addresses; and
    b) certainly in England, if you are recording a telephone conversation for a third party to hear, then you have to get the caller's permission to do so.

      @@benjaminbrooks2832 that's great! retired in my 40s. Inherited money from a childless relative. I was making 6 figures at work but it was just a treadmill.. traveled overseas and found a girl almost my age, happily married and only issue is how to grow or preserve our wealth, think your advisor can be of help?

      'Anton Leopold Weber' is the licensed advisor I use. Just search the name. You’d find necessary details to set up an appointment.

      curiously searched Anton Leopold Weber on the internet, spotted his consulting page at once, and was able to schedule a free call session. Ive seen commentaries about advisors but not one looks this phenomenal

    You could hear the dude completely submit and follow Grant's lead when he did the "it's not $1,500 a month, it's $36,000" trick. That was a brilliant way to both qualify him and grab control of the frame.
