Interesting & substantiated by his wide indepth studies of his tampered outlook,... from Wang GungWu's passionate warning, .... of the sad states of the current global world? Heading into different exclusive nationalistic directions, ....& into our "National Blocks" of a divided world, with many potential tragedies lying ahead of us all, on this earth??😢 (B4, it is too late...?? 🥵😱)

Insights: Once knowledge is seen to belong to nation-states and not civilizations, knowledge will be used to divide rather than to bring civilisations forward.
In this sense, the tech war that has started by banning Huawei and the Chips restriction has started the tech war that will then be used to the detriment of humanity.

Hong KOngers have had more democracy after 1997 than before 1997. Before 1997, the governors were pointed by London, and no Hong Konagers were allowed to head any government offices. The Hong Kong government before 1997 was run by the British. Now after 1997, the Hong Kong government is run by Hong Kongers. The Chief Administrator today is Hong Konger and elected, more or less, the progress of democracy from appointed by a foreign government. As Prof. Wang researched, Hong Kongers are always Chinese even under British colonial rule.
