- After 3 hours of water testing with the truck at an angle no water on the headliner but I did have water in the catch cans it'll evaporate away and I now have a dry headliner. Now that I know it works I need to make a pair on a 3D printer for my buddy's truck.

Did you ever have these 3-d printed? my truck is having the same exact issue but whats crazy is you cant find anyone else that has figured this out. Its driving me nuts!!!
No I never found someone to make them for me on a 3D printer. It's been over a year since I did that repair and no more leaks so I just left the brass ones in there.
I had some printed. Haven't glued them on yet
brian snik what was the size you had printed and where did you get yours from?
@@volfan41371 my cuz printed them. Very simple. Watch my other videos on this issue also. I put links in the description.. . Anybody with a3d printer could make these for u
The smaller the better because they will be full of water.. not too small tho so it doesn't interfere with the moving parts when you glue them on
I just had one in the shop his problem was a drain routed uphill so it overflowed before draining but man do these things or leak and gm says its normal BULL
Go to my channel and watch my first video I show how the water gets into the second Channel and drains to the headliner when the truck is pointing uphill in a rainstorm.
Is it me or is this video not working.
can you make and sell me a pair of "catch cans".?? Thanks, Steve. Definitionally an engineering error on GM on such an expensive vehicle. Or dimensions so I can form out of copper?
So is this a fix or a bandaid?
I'd say a bandaid but im putting them on as a precaution while I have my headliner hanging down... my leak was the 3led marker light on the roof was cracked. No other leaks
Update,I was Wrong, mine was leaking exactly like his was in these videos, catch cups 3d printed and installed easily..
@briansnik1848 how did you make them? I think my truck is doing the same. 18 silverado
