Thanks a ton man. I have a 150 with the panoramic and my front passenger side was low causing excessive water to get through. Enough the drain couldnt keep up on a hard rain. Fixed it with your video. Much appreciated.
I put armor All on that sunroof seal. It looks dry and like it's ready to crack. I'd even clean it where it mounts up to the metal. I clean the metal and the channel inside and everything I had to have. My left drain hole blown out with the air. It had stuff in it. Hopefully this will solve my problem. I seen the drain tubes in the back. They're big so hopefully I should be all set thank you. I'm enjoying and watching the video now. I like the dog too. Looks like he's ready to drive the truck.
Thank you my friend with the sunroof boy if you put that on and clean up the inside the channels with armor All puts like a beater wax on the metal and everything. I even use it on my windshield wiper blades. You can see the dirt it takes off and it softens it up and so re-clean again to use on the windshield. Thank you for sharing that information with the video. I got to finish watching it later on. It looks like a nice video. I like the dog in the seat. He still looks like he's going to drive the truck thank you.
Really appreciate your walk thru video bro my caddy loves to leak cleaned all my drains and I noticed my glass on the back right it was too low hopefully this fixes it if not still great knowledge to have
If yours has two sunroofs and they meet together in the middle, the adjustment is pretty similar to my verbal description at the end of the video. They also have gaskets that like the shrink up and passed too much water so you need to make sure the drains are flowing real well. The rear drains are usually in the trunk if you have a car, and you can access and clean them from there.
Recently had the headliner replaced on my f30 335i and afterwards I was looking at it closely and noticed that mines wasn’t entirely flush like yours but instead of the front not being fully out it’s the back, thank you for the video definitely will be trying it soon
My car is in the shop right now for other issues, but when I get it back, I'm going to jump right on my sunroof because this video showed me the issue I'm having with mine and how to correct it. Thank you.
I'm going to try this on my Cadillac DTS because I messed with it before when it was leaking a little bit then it started leaking more so I need to re adjust it. Thanks
Your seal may be shrinking up a bit over time but you may be able to adjust it to where how much water it passes is easily taken care of by the drains. One of my tricks is to have someone run a hose and let the water cascade over the glass while I adjust it, and I will adjust it up and down until I get it the water flow as minimal as possible
My first one would have been to not have a sunroof installed. I never recommend aftermarkets. However, the glass adjustment is a possibility, if it's not right. They also have a trim molding around where they cut the opening. Make sure it's sitting flush. Other than that, not sure without hearing it.
I recently had the seal gasket replaced on my 4Runner and after a couple of months went by and weather started heating up I noticed when I went through a Touch-Less Carwash that water sprayed in through the back edge of the Sunroof. I had the Shade Screen pulled back so that I could see the Sunroof and exactly where the water was coming in at. I took it back to the Shop that installed and he adjusted it a little higher and said it might not have been set at factory setting when the gasket was replaced. It seemed to help some but water still comes in. It does NOT leak when it rains. Should I adjust it a little higher? Thanks
@@SealofPerfection Ok, I will give it a try. Are there certain things I need to know and would notice if I adjust it too high, other than if water is still leaking? Thanks
@@TXprimeFishing13 If you get it too high above the roof line, it might hang up or "thump" when you open it, because it could drag a bit. Not much else though. Shouldn't need to be that high if the seal is on there right, though.
What can I do if I need the glass to rise higher. I adjusted the Screws, but I need it higher but it does not go up anymore. Is better now, but not enough.
@@sergiovelazquez5168 Is a 2024 not still under factory warranty? I'd take it to the dealership if it still is. If you break or damage something trying to do it yourself, they could then tell you it's not covered. If the glass is low, it should be covered. If there's something keeping the adjustment from being correct, that should also be covered. Without seeing it, I'm not sure I can tell you exactly what's wrong. Is this causing a problem somehow?
First of all, thank you so much for this very informative video. Second, thanks for including Carter in the video 🤣👌. If possible, I'd like your input on my sunroof. Basically, due to hail damage I'm replacing my sunroof glass. I purchased from the dealer and they shipped it out to me but it has a defect. Online someone said it is possibly delaminating? This worked great for my 2019 Subaru Forester. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!

Your video help me and got it fixed thank you. I changed the seal but it was sitting too low. Driving me crazy thank you soo much god bless you
Trying this in our 2019 Rav4 that has excessive wind noise. Noticed how less noisy it was when I was pushing the glass down.

Hey man. This is a great video. I had a sunroof installed in my 2025 Silverado and I am getting a lot of wind noise. Any suggestions?

Be sure to clean out your sunroof drains as well

That might not be a bad idea. Different Vehicles do vary on exactly how high they want that thing adjusted

Should. Sometimes different manufacturers use a different head on the screws, but the process is the same
