Always appreciate your cost of living videos and seeing the different options folks choose. As you say, different people make different choices. Looks like you had a good time in KL, which is the point of going places and experiencing things.
You guys can easily cut down on rental expenses by 40% if you chose the accommodations located in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur, such as Subang Jaya, Petaling Jaya, Damansara and many more. All these cities and satelite townships are accessible via public transportation. Another area you can save a great deal would be to eat at local kopitiam instead of those high-end cafes.😊✌️
For sure, we wanted a place to train bjj in the morning and this was the best we found last minute. Next time we'll stay for longer and branch out more. Great tips thoug
Great video, while our lifestyle is a bit different our expenses in other categories would like Make up for those you wouldn't have. So great video to compare if one wants to travel without watching the budget, which is awesome as it's no fun to keep watching the pennies instead of focusing on having fun, specially if you can afford it. Great video!!
You guys living life!!!!me and wife just get back from Thailand (Phuket) first time in Asia, sadly not so impressed😖 street food not our thing I guess western restaurants definitely as good as USA but so so humid it’s crazy(may be that’s why we didn’t like it much) plus we live in Vegas it’s hot here but not 2-3% of humidity
Haha SE Asia can be very humid! They also have the best food though... It will be interesting to know where you go if you go back, maybe some of the options on our channel will inspire you
im living in the same building! and also im vegan! jaa the store in the building Mercu Summer is supeeer expensive! also all this travels videos are made for europeans, americans, australians....for them everything is cheap...not so much cheap for south americans, asians, africans and bla bla,,,im from Peru!!! Terima Kasih!
What a wonderful video. I think the cost of living in KL, Malaysia is still affordable. However, having said that, there's a trend of rising cost of living in KL, Malaysia. Wow, around USD3.5K for a month's stay in KL, that's very expensive.
to live in Malaysia, don't go for middle metropolitan. but go for outskirt location but must near the LRT or MRT station. Just like a long the area to serdang, to kajang, or to sungai buluh for cheaper rental. Besides house rental, its also cheap market around the housing area.
You & your partner chosen to live in the most expensive location in Malaysia=KLCC Area. IF you choose to live 15km -20km radius from KLcity centre (which is well connected by MRT/LRT), it will cut the cost of living by at least 50%.😊
Kuala Lumpur is very strategic centre as a ‘base’ for digital nomads to travel to other Southeast Asia countries. With cheap flight price from Kuala Lumpur.
Hi. Great video but your costs are really high and like a family of 5 in the u. K with multiple cars and a mortgage . But you are only young once - live it!
Typical angmoh spending. They always compare prices to their country and think its cheap so they spend a lot. Same shit happen in Bali as well. But in the end of the day they feel happy because they feel it's value for their money compared to their own country.
Western tourist are not overcharge but most of them overspend in Malaysia because evething is cheap so they just love to spend their money in Malaysia...😂😂😂
Yes the suburban parts of Malaysia are cheaper and as developed as Kuala Lumpur.

Definitely, I think the main things for us we the "stuff" and the fact we booked a central place to stay at the last minute. Thanks for the comment 🫶

Not a surprise here most of foreigner visitors chose to stay in that area instead of going in other towns around kl
Great videos. Thanks
Thank you so much! Glad it helps ❤
You can get a cheaper rent , try to explore more in KL area. Unlimited of options
I can survive on US$1,500 per person per month in Kuala Lumpur.
(currency exchange rate US$1 = RM4.7)

For sure - our flights there from Vietnam were very cheap and it was a fantastic stay! Thanks for the comment 🫶
Good Content
Thank you for the comment!
Thats around MYR 4k just for rent alone and MYR 2k for eating out. For your reference.
What visa do you use?
I expect living outside the big city is cheaper.
Yep, definitely is much cheaper... but that wasnt what we were aiming for, plus the late notice accommodation
👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤
As soon as you said Lululemon I knew it was going to be a huge number 😂😂
😬

Good info but some can make it with much less,
Definitely, this was just our experience... Thanks for the comment 🫶
Rental can be cheaper.
wow that is expensive. I think if you stay in Singapore it will be cheaper!
Singapore not cheaper..cek leaving city in ASEAN Singapore nombor 1 nombor 2 in the world.. Kuala Lumpur cheaper raking 200 in the world
In Singapore, you will only get a toilet bowl for that price 😊
Less than $1300 per person seems very affordable!
Quite good
They live in downtown. Other places are cheaper.
For our situation (which was far from the most cost-effective) I absolutely believe so
It is very hard to avoid “stuff” in KL😂
You know how we feel too well haha 😆
Not going to Asia for European prices, not thanks.
your 1 mth cost of living is like raising a family of 6 in KL that own 2 cars, house and send kids to schools/nursery etc etc.
And a second wife.
