Your missing out....you want a true home theater subwoofer get a HSU, SVS or ryhtimik subwoofer. These subwoofers are able to play extremely low and also low n loud.
@@BigCVlogs you won’t be disappointed I learned that the hard way. I’ve had literally Owens many subs out there since owning an HSU damn ive never heard lows in my life that can output pretty loud. Maybe companies out there claim their subs can play low but not loud enough.
From what I can tell, sadly no. The mesh has a hard vented plastic behind it and then the speaker. I didn't wanna pull a lot but it doesn't seem like it comes off...from what I can tell.
@@BigCVlogs thanks I had a feeling it didn't are you still really pleased with it?. I never had a yamaha sub before and this in my price range atm. Money is tight lol.
I'm thinking about getting this same exact subwoofer to go with my Yamaha ATS-107 soundbar. I'm a gamer so I think this would be perfect for my games and my movies.
@@BigCVlogs Update. I've had the subwoofer for a week now and I LOVE IT! Movies and Games on it give it new life. I've played God of War for PS4 and the bass and sound effects really popped off my tv :D
Looking at buying this for my yamaha surround sound in my shop. Pretty sure I only have a 6.5" woofer with my setup and wanna go bigger. I am curious as to which receiver you are using. Hopefully the 10" will have the same wire/connector to my receiver.
To be honest, I'm not sure. I've never had that kind of setup. I thought you could get a crossover adapter but I could be wrong. (I feel like I needed one at a recording studio once but it was years ago)
You have to use the audio calibration feature in your amp/receiver. Most avr kits today provide this as standard and if your kit allows you to do this it's the best way to do it anyway - if you have a sub with a built in crossover you would either switch off the crossover or set it to max and let the receiver adjust the crossover for you. If your amp/receiver doesn't allow you to calibrate then you probably need to get a sub with a crossover - but why pay for something you don't need and just complicates the internals? Yamaha got this right - strip out the non essentials and just build something that provides an accurate response over the frequency range and let the avr kit adjust the incoming signal. However this does mean you can't just plonk this into your setup and expect it to sound good. If you have small surrounds lacking any bass you might get away with it but if you have decent sized surrounds you'll end up with a horribly boomy unbalanced sound - you need to take out the higher frequencies going into the sub to stop it competing with the surrounds.
No you don't, just the power cable for the sub. I already had a cable from the last sub I owned. I got mine off Amazon for $8 or so, they are like $20 at Best Buy for the same thing lol.
@@BigCVlogs what cable do you use to play the music? I got a cable that goes from the subwoofer right up to my phone, not sure if I need a different cable, maybe that may be causing it?
@@ploabanic6746 100%!! I use Bluetooth with mine and never heard anything like that. I would think it is the cable though for sure. Try a different way if possible.

I've owned a Yamaha sub woofer in the past and I've always liked their products. I am really really considering this model too.
purchased this. and could not be happier. thanks for the video it helped me in my decision
Don't..it sounds horrible!! Spend a lil more and get the Polk Audio PSW505..trust me you'll wish you did!

I just bought a yas-106 soundbar. I wonder how this subwoofer will play with it. And after the test, I can see that it is worth buying.

the front speakers keep the frequency less than 80 Hz then ur sub woofer would work great

It's on 24/7 as far as I know. I never powered mine off. Just powered off my receiver.
when trying to play music through this subwoofer it's very muffled, is it meant to be like that?

Would you recomend this ns sw100 instead of the 50 ? Is it worth the extra bucks?

so its possible to got girlfriend who get subwoofer, its sick?

Its 50W not 100W
The NS-050 is a 50W, this model is a 100W Sub.
BigC Vlogs In my country the specs say 50W. Can you show me specs who show 100W ?
Its the RMS 50W who matters here, not the 100W dynamic power, since it not can give the sub 100W all the time
This subwoofer implement Servo technology from Yamaha. It doesn't need high amplification to play low notes.
I bought this sub..listened to it..sent it back and spent a lil more and got the Polk Audio PSW505..much much more satisfying!
