Watch other trials, she rocks as a defense attorney.
You are going up against the state, which has endless funds and capabilities.
With that said, her client completely lost me when she wouldn’t do anything differently and she is “not trying to compare herself to the loss of what others have faced”, A loss because of HER son, because as she stated, and ended her direct, she herself has lost everything. Seriously?
That right there, lost me and exposed her as a narcissistic “mother” who cares only about
herself and her side piece and horses.

Yeah I agree, I'm not sure anymore about her attorney and if she's doing her any favors by sticking with her representation...
I had much more confidence in her when she was working together with the other one who is now James' attorney,.., She seemed almost like a different person before they went their separate ways or maybe just before this trial began... She seemed more confident and organized, more intelligent, professional and way less confused.
I don't blame he necessarily and no one should because I'm sure what she's doing has to be far more difficult than it looks.
Though she might not be doing herself she favors choosing to stick with the lawyer she has, I also can't blame her because even if she might know that in the back of her mind wonder if she is paying it works out by trusting the process..I also think it might be a comfortability thing because she unexpectedly got arrested and has been locked up for years now and the only sense of releif, the outside world and interaction is probably this woman and whenever she calls and visits so she is probably feeling closer to her than anyone in this world and looks forward to anytime she comes around and wouldn't want to lose her mind by requesting another attorney i imagine if could and would affect everything OUTSIDE the courtroom and she would feel even more scared and alone, who knows how a different lawyer would act and what kinda proof they are, i wouldn't want to fish that either, she literally has nothing else because she's taken from everything she's had and that includes even contact with her in husband through any means of communication. Sad..

Not one single time, did she say she sat down with him to talk about his feelings, or go for a walk to talk
. Not one time did she say she spent hours at night trying to help him with his homework or that she hired a tutor for him. Not once did she say she kept in constant comunication with his teachers to make sure he was on track. Instead she said during her interview that she told him not to "worry about it", next year is a new year".
All she cared about was him going to work, when he should have been doing homework.
She did say he probably had too much to drink and had a hangover....He's 15 years old. There is no way in he.. I would go riding in the evenings, if my son was struggling at school. If I couldn't afford tutoring I would sell my horse.

Am sure there are “Tons” of parents in this world with varying degrees of what is considered proper parenthood. Don’t forget that parents are only human and have many of their own issues to deal with. Some are drug addicts, in fact, many are drug addicts, alcoholic, abusive etc and really, parents should have a special license to have children. Instead the government condones the proliferation of gun ownership with the expectation that guns won’t get into the hands of people with mental illness. It wouldn’t be the first time in a high profile case such as this. There’s been entire podcasts on this topic and case. Even with the trial being streamed many channels have multiple attys, judges, prosecutors, public defenders, & the majority believe this is a dangerous precedent with the potential of parents all over the USA being charged for even minor infractions, including over reaching & over charging, & wasting tax payers money when the parents can only do so much. Same with the schools being charged & held accountable, when the reality is that no family or child is perfect, nor is any parent & picking and choosing who is and who isn’t responsible for the actions of another, will lead to many lawsuits the public will be paying.

I know I’m guilty of straying from that and I’m going to try to do better. Parenting is a job that doesn’t come with an instruction manual, quite honestly the toughest job I’ve ever had. I was a single mom and my child had her share of emotional issues. Even though the timing was never good for a emotional breakdown, I always tried my best to get to the bottom of what was bothering her. It does take a village. Finally, I will say that in EVERY single school shooting, bullying was an issue in the child's life. We need to really look at that. Why do these kids hate their school so much that they would go get a gun and start shooting people. Bullying is the motive. We don't like to talk about that because it places the cause back on us. I thought our justice system and the law was supposed to be objective, not subjective. I thought lady law was blindfolded so the law would be applied in an unbiased manner. I thought laws were to be written in a way that makes it clear whether they were violated or not. I thought this was purported to be a black or white issue with no grey areas.
Everyone who said "not guilty" said the State didn't prove their case (with proof, or evidence).
Everyone who said "guilty" started their responses with "I think she should've..." Nevermind that the law allowed them to not lock up the 🔫...."I think she should have locked the 🔫 where he couldn't get it." Nevermind that he seemed like a normal kid with no disciplinary issues, "I think she should've spent more time with him." Nevermind that the school didn't send him home & gave her 48 hours to find a therapist. "I think she should've taken him home immediately after seeing that drawing."
So, now it's cool to apply the law based on what you think? Based on your opinion? Based on your feelings? Not based on what the law says & what proof of your guilt was presented in the hearing? WTF?!

They are not charged for what their kid did. Their kid was charged with MURDER. They are charged with involuntary manslaughter. Go listen to the opening statement made by the prosecutor. It explains the difference. These parents did 3 things that led directly to the 4 murders. 1) They ILLEGALLY bought a handgun for a minor, 2) They failed to lock the gun away (also illegal), and 3) They did that knowing their son was mentally unstable and prone to violent/destructive outbursts at home. Their criminal and gross negligence led directly to the murders. They SHOULD be prosecuted. And yes. Parents should take note. Don’t break the very few gun laws we have. If they had simply obeyed the laws around handguns, they would not be in this position at all. And 4 kids would still be alive.

I gotta say this is the worst defense attorney i have ever seen. She does good at points but is so unprofessional at other times its astounding. And the prosecution isnt much better. So much misconduct in this trial, idk how the judge allows all this. No side bars... no objections, they just yell out the whole problem infront of the jury. This trial is gonna have some major problems after the verdict

So, why is Ethan "my son" when she's testifying, but he had to be called "the shooter" throughout the rest of the trial?

    • @user-ov3cw8iy2c
      @user-ov3cw8iy2c 6 місяців тому +5

You should be asking the judge that question it’s the judge’s ruling that he should not be called by name and it is up to her to referee the trial and it is normal for a mother to call her child her son or by him and his name it’s not like we don’t know his name I think it’s pretty stupid that we should be calling him by name and call him whatever you want it doesn’t matter

The victims' families requested that Ethan's name not be used during the trial, and of course mom is going to call him "my son".

They aren't calling him the "shooter" before the actual shooting, you'll notice. Often they referred to him as "Mrs. Crumbley's son" with some witnesses. If it was pre-shooting he was "her son", post shooting, he was "the shooter".

Also, Rittenhouse defended himself from a convicted sex offender, trying to kill him.
