I love learning about the geological process that creates the formations we're seeing. It makes it so much more exciting to be in the audience for the big reveal of this tiny piece of Earth's history. Millions of years of atoms jostling each other to create these beautiful stones.
❤ I found your channel a while back. And I love the fact that you show each cut right after you're done cutting it in half.. Keep up the good work, my friend..
I get soooo caught up in the 'Agate Action" that I forget to hit the "Like" so it really helps when you remind us to. .....some of us are older and not quite operating on all cylinders.
Taylor, even your "bummer" videos are compelling; I HAVE TO watch them to the end because of your awesome attitude and demeanor! Your cup is always half full! IMVHO, you're one of the best YTer's online! I KNOW "Santa's" going to bring you a microscope. The giveaway was when you asked us for our opinion! Keep up the great work...I can't wait for the next video (but I will) dog hairs and all! 🐕🦺😅
The last one made all the duds worth it! For anyone interested, to be called true thunder eggs, they form in rhyolite lavas only. These do look like rhyolite is the host.
It's so funny, I've watched quite a few of your videos over the past few weeks, and I still can't always (in the moment of the reveal) accurately predict what you'll be pleased about. Just in this video, there were two right in a row. The first one I thought, 'oh, he's not going to like that' and then you did, quite a bit. Then the next one I thought, 'oh, that's so pretty!' and you were disappointed by it! 😂
The one right at 14 mins was amazing! XD It looks like you split it so perfectly! To me it looks like the left hand holds the cat and the right holds that dog! XD
You said my word, amethyst!! Yay! That little one with the blue in was a beauty too! The second from the last looked like it had bubbles in it! Wow…that last one. I love the water level bands!! Great cutting today! Thanks!
I had no idea lake superior had thunder egg agates ! I grew up in minnesota and would frequently go up the north shore to rock hound , thinking back after seeing what you were cutting I remeber finding a crap load of those rocks but thought they were low grade junk so I skipped them into the lake lmao ! Great video man keep doing what you do 👍😎
Those turned out so beautiful! I love seeing your excitement and feel it too! What a great way to be the first ever to open up a natural treasure! Can’t wait to see more! Love all the things you make and polish too!! Thanks for sharing with us! Beautiful agates!!⛏👍😃
These vids take me to lost worlds…we have access to so much innovation today…would be interesting to find out how ancient people, like the Egyptians, cut stone for their jewels…
Enjoyed very much, there were some beautiful rocks, I like the galaxy rocks especially the round one, and this last one. What do you do with the rocks you don’t care for? Thank you so much for involving us in your video.
Question. I know you are using the Rez Wheels-How do you like them and have you used Nova wheels, Because I have seen other Lapidary Artist/Cabers use them and off course they will swear by them because they are an affiliate. I myself am leaning towards the Rez wheels and I know you will be Honest with Your answer.

I like that cutting machine 🤔 I could use one of those to make my rock pyramids 🔺🔺
Do you ever put the broken pieces in a tumbler? Kids would love those.🎉😂❤
The Tigger laugh gets me. Hooh-hooh-hooh-hooo! 😄
I love when you make sounds of joy like Tigger or the Pillsbury Doughboy. 🥰

Thank you so much! Happy to show them asap
I love how you find objects within the rocks ❤ all are stunning.
Take your “bummer” cut and make earrings 😊
The one that resembled Galaxy stone, where was agate-y, would make some really pretty teardrop cabs 🌌
I didnt know we had thunder eggs in Minnesota! Cool! Thanks for the info and video! Beautiful! 😊
70yr old prospector here
You ever try tumbling or cabbing all those fractured pieces. Bet they'd turn out BEAUTIFUL 😍
ROCK ON 😊
Uh huh! A microscope would be really good! Great idea! ❤
The 2nd one looked like an autumn scene on a cloudy day!

Turn the one that you cut crosswise to the first cut you made into matched cabochons for earrings! They would be awesome!
The last one made all the duds worth it! For anyone interested, to be called true thunder eggs, they form in rhyolite lavas only. These do look like rhyolite is the host.
Always fun watching, because you never know what you’re going to get!

You've inspired me to cut through the weird stuff I've been collecting!
How’s it going?!?
The one right at 14 mins was amazing! XD It looks like you split it so perfectly! To me it looks like the left hand holds the cat and the right holds that dog! XD
Those are all wonderful! - - - But big Congratulations on the last one being as OUTSTAMDING as you had hoped!!! Hooray for you!
You said my word, amethyst!! Yay! That little one with the blue in was a beauty too!
The second from the last looked like it had bubbles in it!

Any one else see the mushroom in the rock at 6:05? Lol so cool!!
Nature never disappoints, even the duds. But mostly, she shines through with such surprising beauty. I just love rocks. ❤️
Every kid should have a dog, just pretend the hair is fairy dust and who can resist loving ❤a doggo😊
You seriously need a microscope so you can do macro shot, I love the super close ups seeing the fine detail. Love your work!
I like your excitement. Will be looking forward to the polishing videos!
They are beautiful!
I really liked the one at 8:30!
I get so happy when u find something amazing 😊
These vids take me to lost worlds…we have access to so much innovation today…would be interesting to find out how ancient people, like the Egyptians, cut stone for their jewels…
That was awesome I say those are worth picking up and I would say that last one is my favorite thanks for a great time
Some real treasures. What fun.
Oh that big one!😮😮😮
LOVE the one at 4:50 for some reason! Beautiful.
First video of yours I'm watching. I'm always out rock hunting, but need to get myself a saw 🤔😜
Omg that jasper-y one with amethyst is phenomenal!!

That’s funny!

I love these videos.
Yes on the scope!😂😂😂
Enjoyed very much, there were some beautiful rocks, I like the galaxy rocks especially the round one, and this last one.
What do you do with the rocks you don’t care for?
Thank you so much for involving us in your video.
Thank you for sharing. ❤
Great content.
A simple (Mac se do) hand held magnifier.
🔬 are fantastic. I have one that uses an app.
@AgateDad @17:14 you should call that Kefka Agate/Jester Agate!
12:29 is beautiful too
very pretty
I like that one too.
When cutting small stones, do you use a thinner blade (trim saw blade) for less kerf?
I try to yes
Didn't know they were a thing. I'm from Michigan. Think I brought some back from a trip to Lake Superior. Hmm....must cut them.
Why are they called thunder egg agates?
I think we do not have any of theese here in the Netherlands.
I like the one at 6:07
The last cut looks like there are steps leading down to a lake.
As a matter of fact, I use a magnifying glass to watch you🎉😂❤
What is galaxy stone, please. And your site is terrific.
Amygdaloidal basalt
What's the difference between a thunder egg and an agate nodule?
Yes to microscope 🙌!
That looks like gem bone!
Wow!
do you do a video of looking at split rocks under the microscope?
What do you clean them with initially?
Nothing most of the time, sometimes soap and water
that last one almost looked like it had a rose quartz colouring

I hope the consensus is "Yes" on the scope... Through and through nerd and I'm just thinking of the PICTURES
I’ve wondered what those were. I know a beach where you can fill your pockets with them. Wonder if you were in the same beach?
Maybe lol
You don't need a microscope. All you need is a good magnifying lens
What's the difference between a thunder egg and an agate
NICE
@19:46 I a puppy dog in the left hand half.
Looks like a nebula
So can find thunder agates anywhere?
Only where they are lol Google that one
I vote YES for a MICROSCOPE!
🤔 That’s good cutting machine. I could use one like that for cutting my rock pyramids 🔺🔺🔺🔺
Linked in video description
MICROSCOPE, YES PLEASE!
Get a microscope! I love watching your show 😅
I vote yes for microscope❤❤❤
It would be amazing to see them under a microscope..
