- I decided make my favourite air rifle into a project. So I refurbished the stock with a high gloss tru oil finish and sent the body away for a custom shroud, catch and reblue courtesy of Shaun Hill of ISP airguns fame and of course it has been engraved by the master - Don Blocksidge. A thing of beauty in my eyes and something that will stay with me forever,

So i watched all your videos and your air gun forum replies. Thankyou so much for all the information on the HW97 I just ordered one... You have not done any videos in a long time and i hope you are well. Maybe i could make a suggestion for a video, How to tune your HW97 for less money , Could i just buy a better spring and polish everything? Or would that be a waste of time and i should just buy a tuning kit that would be more cost effective. Thank you once again for making the videos. All the best.

I’ve just dropped my 97 off at welsh Willy’s for a tune and I’m after a nice stock and scope to finish it off, but you have taken this 97 to the next level it’s a thing of beauty. Keep up the good work love your videos 👍🏻

It cost loads altogether. CS stock, tuning work by Paul Short, one of his set back custom brass trigger blades, a GinB engraved brass trigger guard, and then the work by Shaun and Don. But it's never leaving me :)

Oh my! That is the nicest, classiest looking HW97 I have ever seen. The engraving, fluting , and other accents are very well done and the whole thing has been tastefully executed. Thank you very much for sharing!
Stock is a bit too shiny imo, I'd buff that down with some steel wool. But a lovely looking rifle!
Each to their own. The next stock will be an oil and wax finish ;)

Baught my son a Remington warhawk for Christmas....the first one came, had a crack in the front part of the stock😮second one came and the cocking lever is all over the shop and terrible grinding noise...unlike the first rifle which was much more solid and smooth feeling!
Decided to say stuff it and return it to the dealer here in south/west Wales and I'm going to try and get one of these gorgeous rifles for myself. I see myself as bit of a crack shot so I'm looking forward to see what I can do with an accurate gun. I hear their accurate anyway....German workmanship, what more could u want. I am going to go for the green laminate version in .22😎I'm enjoying taking a peek through your videos old chap👍🏼🍻
Enjoy mate. The HW rifles are ideal for customisation. They are decent to start with but very open to improvement to suit your own taste :)

Hi Neil hope your well I've just sent my hw97 action to Shaun to have a barrel shroud fitted after seeing this vid so looking forward to getting it back I dropped it off at Shaun's house top bloke and very knowledgeable. Hi mate. I only do a video when I have something that I think might interest folks. I could do a review of my Steyr Hunting 5A but there are plenty out there already so I dont see the point. I have an old machete to do up at some point - that might be fun :)

Good afternoon sir I just bought a new hw97 kt and when I was looking on UA-cam for some tuning vids I came across your channel what can I say that custom hw97 is something else truly stunning I what like to ask where's the best place or guy to get mine tuned ( I target shoot ) any info you could provide in regards tuning would be much appreciated

Any of the named tuners are excellent. The Paul Short titanium piston tune is very highly regarded and popular. You would not be disappointed.

This is the best looking Springer I've ever seen. I would like to ask you few questions. Are you on any of the forums ie shooting the breeze or airgun bbs?
In the workshop we had to use special tools working on titanium as carbon steel corrodes titanium, how do you get around this problem with your internals?

I am very sorry to hear this - I didn't know! No I can't help you I'm afraid. I specifically wanted Don to engrave my gun because he is a legend in the game. Very sad loss.

Welsh Willy and Steve Pope? I presume you are talking about guide sets - they are all pretty much the same. Steve produces V Glide kits as well which I dont think that Welsh Willy produces anything similar.... dont know though.

It is thank you. But I only make a video when I do something that interests me. Over the lockdown period we have had a new porch on the front of the house, i have fitted a new kitchen, and i am currently fitting a new roof to the garage. Not really the subject matter for youtube videos :)

@@davidpyper82 drop In kits are pretty much the same. All delrin guides and washers etc. You pay your money and take your choice. You can't go wrong with TBT stuff to be fair.
