Hi, The WH97K seems to make less noise than the original version. And the recoil is much more attenuated, and much more controllable. Please indicate the links where we can purchase this type of kits.
how much did the Vglide kit cost and how much did the nick gibney kit cost?? i need to fix my hw97 and instead of going for stock parts i'm thinking of going for a decent kit but i'm stuck on which one. its something i need to do at home so how do i contact either of them
HI with reducing the swept volume down from 26mm to 22mm [ nick gibney mod ] it look`s like its a sweet shooting rifle , but I think you will be lucky to make 11.5 flb on them mods . with the sound / recoil of that rifle and the swept volume it makes I think 9.5 flb should be about it [ all right for hft though ] atb john
Chronograph figures would have been a better video, the stuff is probably lighter cos it’s not as robust and engineered to last for yrs , is my guess , but if it keeps you busy and active guess that’s enough , when I buy one it won’t be touched unless something breaks , cheers Shane uk 🇬🇧
Shootingatdawn out of all the piston and sleeve combinations you have come across and tried which is your favourite and why. Are you also able to provide any costs of each of the kits? Many thanks
Day to day use is the Paul Short titanium kit. Normal parachute seal and great shot cycle. That PS kitted gun is the basis for my project gun with the engraving etc. The NickG 22mm gum is actually a little softer to shoot but no bear trap and o ring seal so in my eyes requires a little more care in handling and maintenance etc - that said, a sublime shot cycle. As for prices - you really need to contact the tuners and ask their current rates.
Just had one of these kits fitted by Nick, how long did it take to bed in, I've put over 500 hundred pellets through it, chrono reading low 700 fps up to 763fps with Exacts 4.52, got bit of a twang too, any advice please.
Anton - I would love to catch up but I very much doubt I am going to be able to get there. At best the only day I can make is the Thursday. As for comparisons with my other tuned guns - I want to put a tin of pellets through it to let it bed in before comparisons start.
Its about piston weight, not comp tube, the lighter piston will travel faster reduce lock time and recoil, the heavier piston will be slower and recoil more due to its weight.
i think you rereinventing the HQ match springers like the walther 55 .lgv special weihrauch hw 55 match , with the downbuild of the springpiston system
A better mousetrap? I reckon Weihrauch know what they're doing. If they wanted to make a 10ft.lb. narrow piston rifle I reckon they would! Nice to know the black art of tuning springers lives on.
Would have been nice to know the cronny figures and comparisons to the standard and v mach kit

what was the power output after ? 10.4ft-lb + - ?
AA Express pellets are the best Springer pellet. They work in all 5 of mine! Clean power and flat trajectory.
I have a hw77 made in 1986 , would this kit work in my gun , and would it be worth doing , thanks in advance😊

Why want this guy shot his rifle over a conagraph? Is he too embarrassed? 😂

Is there anywhere I can get one of those kits? Looked all over...
This is also available in 22 mine make to much noise and shoot not good
What chronograph readings does this kit give?

Looks nice! Would be good to catch up at this years springer bash!

There's sounds really quiete 👍
No annoying ping sound in the Gun 😊
Hi buddy , you didn’t mention when you weighed the standard piston , if it had the weight washers removed or not ? Cheers Shane
Removed
I think you should have weighed the Pistons with/in their sleeves
Its about piston weight, not comp tube, the lighter piston will travel faster reduce lock time and recoil, the heavier piston will be slower and recoil more due to its weight.

no recoil ans nit even loud cant eben jear the piston slaming against the compression tube
True long stokers have the cocking link re engineered so the piston can move further back ,
I'm thinking of buying a HW97 Blackline but so many seem to be against the Synthetic stock!
Why? Does it mark easily?
What pellets mate
How do i get mine turned off this guy?
Its definately lower on power but thats a narrower air cylinder like an old 77
the older postons was 25mm the newer are 26mm..
and how can you say it is down on power ? he hasn't chrono'd it and you can't go by the sound 😲 😂😂

Wow, what a difference in recoil! My HW97K Special Edition laminated stock has way more recoil!!
holy shit thats quiet...mines bog standard and you would of heard TWAAANGGG..way louder then youre rifle !
Why can I contact Nick for a kit ? Thanks.
He is on a forum of mine I will get you an email address
Good way to make your rifle underpowered
Depends if you class 11.2 ft lbs as underpowered I suppose. Shot cycle is awesome though.
@@shootingatdawn If it's shooting at 11.2 then its Very good.
Looks like a very sweet shooter :)
Make another air rifle video for Christ's sake.
You make some the best ones on't Tube
Another couple in the pipeline ;) I only make a new one when I have something interesting going on...
Have you got nicks contact please
