Hi Dave, great first clean are you able to do a film on diverting and catching run off from gutters and water butts. Can’t seem to find anything online. Thanks
Hi Alan I've actually stopped doing roofs now but what I recommend is using some plastic tube that you can tape to the gutter outlet and then drop down into a bucket.
Its been a while since ive done a roof now but from recollection its 25-1 on roofs and 50-1 on tarmac but I would check that first with GK pro to be 100% sure
@@completeexteriorcleaningse750 have you checked out roofscraper.co.uk They are doing a 10 blade set for £208 at the moment with free postage. I got a scraper and pole giveaway coming soon
Great video! I am thinking about this as a mother and son business, brain and brawn hehe I have entered into your competition giveaway for the roof scraper set, fingers crossed!
Nice one Dave, it’s hard graft isn’t it! Do you plan on getting a pressure washer on any of your following roof jobs? I’ve only ever scraped mine but do fancy pressure washing one in the future, looks a little easier, cheers Rob
Hi Rob To be honest the thought of a pressure washer on a roof worries me. I know it can be done but if you get it wrong can cause loads of problems. There’s someone near to me that steams roofs who has offered for me to spend a day with him so will probably go along and have a look Thanks for watching 👍
Great video keeping it real Dave 👍 Genuine question - do you feel the job would have been done easier and quicker with a tower? Btw - good point on checking profiles both front AND back 👍👍
Hi Mark Thanks for the comment All jobs are different but personally I don’t think it would have been any easier with a tower as it was easy to reach from the ground and you could walk backwards and forward to scrape so you weren’t restricted to the size of the tower.
Great Video as always Dave, Did you experience any tiles that were cracked etc or loose tiles that fell down once scraped, how do you explain this to the customer? do you change the broken tiles?
I didn’t have any problems with broken tiles on this job. If it was me that broke the tile I would change it otherwise point it out to the customer and recommend a roofer
Really efficiently done Dave. We all see so many blokes up on a roof with a power washer, blasting the crap off and just looking like absolute cowboys! Thats the way to do it mate, though not for me, my old bones cant take it. 💪🏻☘

@@squeakycleandave1 thanks, sorry to hear you’re not doing roofs anymore. I’ll try that tip with the pole and bucket 👏🏻
Great video Dave. You looked well organised. Best wishes. 👍
Thanks Paudie. I do try and think out a job before I do it. 👍
Well done Dave - great video
Thanks Michael 👍
Hi Dave, as always mate a superb video.....i am considering a new pole in the new year so i may give the ova a go. Cheers Andrew 😊🌈
Glad to have helped. 😁
Well done dave
Thanks Mark 👍
Whats the dilution rate on the GK pro roofs Dave? Is it suitable for tarmac?
Its been a while since ive done a roof now but from recollection its 25-1 on roofs and 50-1 on tarmac but I would check that first with GK pro to be 100% sure
Great honest video Dave, very well put together and entertaining unlike many roof cleaning videos. Keep up the great work 👍
Thanks Austin. That’s very much appreciated 👍
Great job Dave love those time lapse videos

Great job Dave, I follow you both think your both top lads I've just been scraping my roof over last week with a hoover and trowel 🤣
Let's just say you look slot more professional than me 😉
For the big stuff I wander if a cherry picker is any good on hire ?
Cracking video Dave.
Look forward to see how you price roofing jobs👍
I'm thinking of adding it to my services, but not 100% sure yet.
It looks a lot easier than it is. It does really take it out of you 👍
Well done Dave , you had a good crack , lots of variables and need to think out the job more.. it's not easy as window cleaning... lol 👍💰
You are right there. It’s a steep learning curve 👍
Mind your back Dave, I had my best week cleaning roofs money wise, but pulled my back muscle so have been off for a week,
Nasty. Hope it gets better soon. I haven’t got time to do it full time with the windows as well so it’s mixing it up a bit which muscles I’m using
Fantastic video!! Really interesting, thank you Dave much appreciated

Thanks Pete. Catch you soon 👍

If only it was as easy as the time lapse 😂
Nice work Dave, take it easy and please be safe, especially walking on the roof.
Thanks Gordon. I deal with walking on the roof in my next video. After that one I won’t be doing it again 👍

Great video. How long was the pole you used on the front of the house.
It was a 30’ Renegade from WCW
Great job how do you price roof clean 👍
I’m going to do a video on pricing soon but it’s by the meter
£10 per sqm scrape n bio

How much did you charge for the job altogether?
Sorry I don’t give out the price I’ve agreed with a customer publicly but I will be doing a video on pricing roof cleans soon
Great job Dave, still think it’s a bit of a young man’s game ! Lol
I’m starting to agree 🤣
