I love the honesty. I thought I was the only one that got nervous and couldn't eat before either a big job or the first of 'a new service' job. Ie my first roof.
Hi Dave, thanks for your honesty about your experiences. We all go through it, whether its getting the pricing wrong on a job and your kicking yourself, or carrying out a task in a manner that you know wasnt right. Great video, and thanks for sharing. 👍👍
Good to hear it Dave, it’s not worth the risk. No food or drink I’m not surprised you were knackered, and you can’t think right your coordination goes and a second later it’s …. We’ll you know. Even on a tower take more breaks than usual to eat and especially drink in this type of weather. Glad your ok 👍🏻
Hey Dave scraper looks really well made! I think lots of us get butterflies before starting a job .ive been doing roofs for several years and still have that sicky feeling. Great videos, keep up the great content 👍🏽
Great honest review Dave, safety first 👍 have you looked into converting a carbon pole into a pressure cleaner?? Apply hypo via back pack then attach small surface cleaner 12-15 inch head then low pressure clean off, scaffolding if required 👍 keep on learning and refining 👍
@@stuartmatthews6286 if you want my advice. Try not to let worry. Take your time when you start. If you rush it’s where mistakes are made. If you are planning on using chemicals get some training. I think the most important thing is to enjoy it and you will be fine. Hope it goes well. Let me know how you are getting on. 👍

Good lad Them tiles have five versions due to defects very weak on the interlock some can be discontinued specially some of the terracotta 28 weeks waiting list to get some also your insurance would not of covered you as you broke All health and safety rules your summary is good Best not to walk on anyone’s roof as they are not designed for that and it looks unprofessional to other people watching in the neighbourhood. But that’s all said it’s a learning curve which you have learn fast keep up good work
Just wondering what temp in the tile you recommend for biocide, what percentage of biocide do you apply and how long does it take to see results. Many thanks great work
Hi The temperature range to use biocide is between 10-30°c. The higher range can be pushed slightly higher if you put plenty on and really saturate the surface so it doesn’t evaporate straight away. You can see the biocide working straight away on some of the less stubborn algae but it really is a long term solution and it can take months to clear everything off. The biocide kills everything straight away then the weather cleans the surface. The mix of the biocide depends on what type of surface you are using it on and the type of chemical itself as there are a couple of different types of chemical so always refer to the manufactures instructions. If you are planning on using biocide I would always recommend getting some training as it is a nasty chemical to use and can cause some serious problems

I like the idea of roof cleaning - but I really don't like the idea of being on the ladder all day or for that matter even constructing those platform towers. I much prefer that idea honestly. ua-cam.com/video/n9RcWKBzs24/v-deo.html
Great video Dave, some valuable points, no intake of food or fluids could reduce blood sugar levels causing dizziness which wouldn’t be practical on a roof of any height.. Hats off to you this job, isn’t easy.. 👍
