Looking back at this video it's quite embarrassing how I didn't understand at the time what a bad idea it was for me to show the side of my ship to that Kongo. You live and learn.

The funny fact - Kongoo's cannons were accurate even up to max. elevation - 34 km.
I prefer Arpeggio of Blue Steel to KanColle. The KanColle anime they could only do so much because it's based on a game with little in the way of story. Arpeggio meanwhile was based on a very good manga, that is extremely good, though too complex for the anime which had to change the plot to accommodate a single cour show. The Manga is also of course more epic and makes more sense. Just my 2 cents.

ThisIsCertainlyNotMyName Well the opening and the ending theme of Kancolle anime are not sung in a cute/moe voice but in a normal voice and sound awesome (Well for me that is)
If it's any interest to you, Jingles, Nao Toyama (one of the Voice Actresses for Kancolle) did a twenty minute long audio story solo, where eight of her characters (Kongou, Kirishima, Hiei, Haruna, Atago, Maya, Takao and Choukai) interacted with each other. It's hilarious.

The community is generally great, but like WoT, there's always an exception or two. I am playing as the Farragut destroyer on the ice map and I decide to play more conservatively as I don't want to die without making a worthwhile contribution to my team. The enemy team made it more difficult for me to get close with torpedoes that have a range of 4.5km as the attacked the objectives on the flanks of the map and put them in the more open water. If I were a cruiser, I would be ok with fighting in the open with other Clevelands, Pensacolas, and Mogamis, but I'm not ok with that in a destroyer. I decide to turn to the A cap and wait near an iceberg closer to the center of the map and come to a full stop. When a Nagato and Fuso battleship got closer (9km) to me, i sped up and popped my smoke, concealing my position. I rush the Nagato and launch a full spread of torps at him, which is 8 in the Farragut, and killed him. I didn't want to die by the fuso, so i tried (and almost failed) to sail around a big iceberg to catch him on the other side with reloaded torp tubes. While doing this, a cruiser that died early in the game called me out for being a bad destroyer captain because i wasn't facing a fuso battleship head on with a destroyer that has to wait 1 minute to reload torps. I then told him he shouldn't label me as unskillful because he had NO KILLS. He said he had 53 hits...IN A CRUISER, which is not uncommon for cruisers and goes on to tell me that i'm a "suckass destroyer" for not being able to cap another objective in time to win. some people are scumbags that think their shit don't stink...

I agree with the anime part. Kancolle the anime was pretty boring excluding some funny and epic scenes. I personally like Kancolle (the game, even though I have never played it yet) in terms of variety of ships in game.
Also, I wonder if Verniy will be a Russian premium. If so, that would be so awesome yet so sad at the same time.

Ah, the times when Jingles was sitting side on to battleships and didn't think of angling his ship, whilst simulatously wondering why the enemy ship would do such a thing as in sailing straight at him (and not noticing that the enemy Kongo with her four guns was averaging more damage per salvo than Jingles with his full eight guns).
Even after all this time, I still cringe every time Jingles pronounces 'Hiei' wrong. I used to be the same, but it's so painful now

Say what you will about Kongou being a total loon. The one thing they kept from the ship was the reliability. That woman has gotten me out of more tight spots than I can count, and, as you point out her true form has much the same record for your faction.

I believe everyone is hoping they do a somewhat better job in the next season of the anime, because although the did 'well enough' to be 'enjoyable enough' to keep the game audience, they likely wouldn't get away with it again. The show has some really good points, but it also has some really bad/stupid points.
Raptorx911 Next season? The manga is over 10x the length that left behind the first season. I have been waiting for a 2nd season, never got it. Never any confirmation of there even being a next season.

I would LOVE a second season of Arpeggio of Blue Steel. It would be the best thing ever, and it could be possible since the show has a good reception. However, nothing has been confirmed, so I'm not holding my breath.

In Honor of the World of Tanks April fools event, I played my TOG, got top gun , steel wall and ace tanker.
Just finished watching Arpeggio of blue still and was like " Yep. Need to start playing Warships now. Best go check out the Jingles vids."

The Mogami-class was planned with 20.3cm guns in twin turrets, but were changed to 15.5cm triple turrets due to the Washington treaty. Retrofitted with the 20.3cm guns later on, and some of the Mogami-class (Mogami and I think Kumano) were converted into hybrid-carriers.
the converted hybrids are actually a subclass of the mogami. its tone and another ship. mogami and tone is related but they have a diffrent gun arrangement and diffrent armor
Actually the Mogami was refitted with no rear turrets and a small "flight deck"
