    I love the way you talk about the things you create. Creativity and creation, for me, is part of a spiritual process. So hearing another maker be so passionate and forward about what they make, and seeing it in action--is just awesome. Your work is phenomenal, and I can only hope one day I can be half the smith you are. You've earned my sub 100x over.

    One thing I will have to do is add to my bucket list, is to see these doors in person, just to take it the beauty and design, to touch the cold steal door handles, and know I've held the doors to heavens gate, thank you Max for sharing your talents with us, I feel honoured that I am able to see work as spectacular and stunning as yours 👍🏼👍🏼🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘Cheers from Melbourne Australia

      Hah! It was once a plain old chisel that I rounded to make that line-work tool. You can find tons of them at swap meets and yard sales! I have so many, just in case I need to make a tool like that!

    Do you make any of these to scale for a standard door? Making a Viking door in the woods, a handle and hinge set like this would be insane! Roughly 35” x 80”

      This is a pretty big project, I’ve been working on it on and off for the past two years, and it think it will take about another year to complete.

    I’m really interested in what Max has to say, but the music is too loud for me to make out the words a lot of times. Otherwise, the whole process is magical and mesmerizing, and I love his enthusiasm for his art.
