There is an interview in 1970 with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page being asked about the death of Jimi Hendrix which had accrued that day. Both Page and Plant were big fans of Jimi Hendrix. Still widely regarded as the best guitarist ever. Side note. Back when they were still kids the members of Zeppelin were deeply influenced by all the great blues players here in America. To me Zeppelin were the blues on steroids. There has not been a single band that has come close to them as far as influence goes they are the real deal

One of the great things I learned from Led Zeppelin as a young kid, that I noticed and appreciated from the great rock bands and all really great music really, pick your genre, is that the really good and great ones feed and play off of each other. Like jazz. Everyone reacts off of each other to create great musical art. Zep, for me showed me that. It's what made them so great and helped me learn what great music was as a kid. Since u are digging this tune so hard I gotta share this with you: Back in 94 I was 14 years old and sat down one day to watch Mtv and they had a "Led Zeppelin weekend". Up until that point I had only listened to pop music and never heard Led Zep. A live video to Dazed and confused came on and a beast was awoken in my soul! The power of it hit me on a whole new level and sent me into this new musical universe. In 95 Page and Plant went on a reunion tour and came to my city Stockholm. Of course I was the most fanatical fan of all, securing a spot foremost to the stage, literally having them right in front of me. And it all started with this song. Loved your reaction video!

Both of them took the guitar to about as far as it could go as musical instrument. But Led Zeppelin wasn’t just Jimmy Page. All the members of the band were in the top 3 in their position in rock history. John Bonham is generally considered the best drummer in rock history, John Paul Jones is considered one of the top 2 or 3 bassists in history and Robert Plant one of the top vocalists in rock history. No auto tune man. That is just raw talent. Like The Beatles there chemistry was Devine. The 60's and the 1970's was magical for rock music. You have barely touched the tip of the ice burg with Led Zepplin and classic rock. This old hippie saw Led Zepplin when I was 16 in 1970. The fact is that they studied the early Afro-American blues style, itself an unselfconscious emotional appeal to one's empathy for the human condition - oppression. They always showed respect for the blues roots by never churning out blues songs as easily as they could have (like Status Quo themselves legendary ) Rather, their change ups elevated the genre without losing or hiding the original musical inspiration.

Guitarist Jimmy Page was given the idea for using a bow by talking with a violinist from the London Philharmonic Orchestra during the time he spent as a session musician. They played a variety of styles such as folk, acoustic, a bit of funk, rock, ethereal, ballads, and if course blues. Every song is dynamic and will take you on a trip.
Their is a reason they were referred to as The Hammer of the Gods! Try Black Dog, Heart Breaker, The Lemon Song, Rock and Roll. It never ends with THE greatest band ever..

This was the first Zep song I heard many, many moons ago. We used to listen to college stations cuz regular radio sucked. I still remember washing the dishes and when this came on ... my mouth dropped and I ran into the living room in front of the stereo dancin! I was in love❤

Well, you’ve opened a door to a great band. One of the best of the late 60’s /70’s. Black Sabbath another giant of rock would be another band to check out. They were from the same general area of the UK and there was a legendary jam session of members of both bands that is circulating: Keep it up.
I was 13 when their first album hit the charts in 1969. Was a fan throughout their career. But, When The Levee Breaks from the first album remained my favorite track through out it all. You want blues? Do that one.

Imagine the first time you heard this you had just smoked a dubie of the good stuff. Mind most definitely blown. Soooooo anytime we put Led Zeppelin on we were stoned and it was amazing and yes it was peace, love and rock n roll. Wish I could go back in time.

Well, you’ve opened a door to a great band. One of the best of the late 60’s /70’s.
Black Sabbath another giant of rock would be another band to check out. They were from the same general area of the UK and there was a legendary jam session of members of both bands that is circulating:

Nothing like a 50 year old performance that blows your mind. It blew my mind in 69 th fist time I heard it.
I was 13 when their first album hit the charts in 1969. Was a fan throughout their career. But, When The Levee Breaks from the first album remained my favorite track through out it all. You want blues? Do that one.
Each guy in Led Zep was the best at the time, or among them. When they got together, they got better.

Growing up with this band is sort of second nature now but watching you and others discover the insane talent of this band is reassuring. Saw them in 1969 and knew then they were going to be huge.
