Both exhaust and intake ports are open at the same time, it just pushes your air and fuel out the exhaust and often creates lean conditions at higher rpms.. For the price of the engine and the not so super charger you can get a Big Block engine and conversion kit that will be less complicated, more powerful and faster with some $$ left over to bet on a race against a supercharged small block nitro...
Cause it wont run for a few reasons: 1: In a 2 stroke engine (which most RC car engines are), the intake and exhaust ports are open simultaneously. This means that it will just push the fuel/air charge straight out the exhaust, making the engine like crap 2: Its set up on a "blow through" configuration on the carburetor thereby pressurizing it but not the fuel system and since there is no fuel pump, fuel won't enter the carb and this will lean the engine further and it won't run right.
These do not work in engines with no valves. The only reason superchargers work on a 2 Stroke Detroit diesel is because they have exhaust valves on it. Besides these superchargers at $160 or so, you could buy another nitro engine for that amount.
tlaroche38 the intake and exhaust valves are never open at the same time. the transfer ports and exhaust ports are, but when the transfers are open, the intake valve is closed. otherwise there would never be any case pressure to facilitate transfer of the mixture. study up on the venturi effect. it works weather it is under vacuum or pressure. ever seen how a paint gun works? same concept, only, weird, it uses pressure. think you should do some more schooling on how a 2-cycle engine actually works...
Yes, you can use the stock cooling head, and the Supercharger gains vary depending on the engine, exhaust pipe, and Supercharger set up, but Dyno testing that we have done shows results of 15 - 30% gains in horsepower.
You're just the kind of uninformed customer this jackoff is hoping to sell to. 2 stroke engines are not defined by what fuel they run on there are gasoline and diesel 2 strokes... I believe even some of the giant engines powering huge cargo ships are 2 stoke and they pretty much run on crude oil. In this case it's a 2 stroke glow engine.
***** My bad, I made the rookie mistake of assuming you were only uninformed but it turns out you're a babelling lunatic with the reading comprehension of a rock.
Victorious victor 8 grand!?!? Wow, that's pretty steep! I wonder, for that price do those kits come with custom tuned pipes to make higher back pressure at peak rpm and prevent the air/fuel charge from blowing through? Why... YES, yes they do! Do these superchargers come with tuned pipes? Nope... fuel charge is going to blow right through. As an aside, sleds have all the cooling in the world for air charge, can clutch for extreme rpm, and they're OK with very peaky on/off engine performance... you're RC truck has NONE of those capabilities... should we talk about the parasitic powerloss of a supercharger vs turbos?
I don’t see how this will work on a 2 stroke but I have to admit the idea and looks are really cool. Somebody should post a top speed run with and without the blower and see if it works
through the carb, how do u compensate for boost as far as fuel goes, if u pressurise the carb inlet u will blow air backwards through the jets if u don't pressurise the fuel supply or float chamber by the same amount wont u?
can you do a running video what difference the supercharger makes say like a before (without supercharger) and after (with supercharger) its just a suggestion so you may get more orders for it...
I am thinking about picking up one of these for an Ofna 1/8 buggy with a .28 engine. I want to run the Ofna 2 speed trans kit with this though. Would it be possible to adapt this on with the clutch and 2 speed pinion gear? It seems like it would be possible, but you would have to do some fabrication. My guess is that it may be easier to use the stock 2 speed kit and then find a way to adapt the supercharger to that. Any other way, and you would have to move the engine back. Do these help performance at all? I cant see it doing too much for a 2 stroke engine,. but for the novelty and enhanced sound, I would totally do it and try to setup some scoop to catch cold air.
What about any positive pressure from the super reducing fuel flow into the chamber and leaning the mixture? Got a fuel pump for that or is this just to burn engines?
Do you have a video of the supercharger running and possibly with a stock engine without a supercharger and how can you prove to use that this makes a difference with the engine. - Myles
Will you do another video in your Prototype Lab about converting your standard carb into a blow through carb in order to tune actual forced induction systems ?
If you think about it by compressing the air you are generating heat. Without an intercooler to cool down the condensed charge of air the potentially "gained" power is lost with hotter air.
So what is the benafit of this supercharger more speed cooler running engine ?? iv been up and down about getting one of these but i wanna know what its gonna benafit being id be spending a good amount of cash
Hello, can u explain how exactly this works on 2 stroke where intake and exhaust are open at the same time? This would just blow unburned fuel mixture thru the exhaust port without a valve as overpressure would never be possible.
Supercharger gains vary depending on the engine, exhaust pipe, and Supercharger set up, but Dyno testing that we have done shows results of 15 - 30% gains in horsepower.
all of you posters don't fully understand how case induction/piston port engines work. the mixture is compressed in the crankcase (primary compression), then pushed into the combustion chamber by the piston when it uncovers the transfer ports. Their is an optimal range for primary compression that is dynamically related to pumping losses, fuel atomization and, the crank case seal's ability to hold the pressure. Do you know that range? do you know anything about inertia? air velocity?
Electronic fuel management systems in forced induction motors these days are computer adjusted to not be rich at low RPM's. Otherwise, they would not meet EPA laws. A two stroke engine can not be forced induced as both the intake and exhaust ports are open at the same time. You would need to do one of two things for it to run. 1. Have the forced induction draw air and fuel through the carburetor so that they are at a relatively even mix. 2. Install valves to prevent the fuel passing through.
additionally.... I´m wondering, that they don´t sell superchargers for 4-stroke nitro-engines, even though the principles would match better, than with 2-stroke-rc.-engines ...probably, because 4-stroke nitro owners don´t want to ruin their engines & wallets?
Both intake and exhaust ports are open at the same time, so there goes your boost.... Nextly more air requires more fuel or at higher RPMs you WILL be running leaner. Third point cost, for the price of doing this (engine & supercharger) you can buy a bigger engine have less complication, probably even less weight and much more power. Drop an LRP .28 and blow away any 3.3 with a supercharger for about 1/2 the $$
I've ordered one of these blowers for myself, I'll put an electric motor on it and strap it to my head for when I get out of breath climbing the stairs!
Would of been great to see the thing running with & w/o the supercharger. A "how to" and a "comparison" video. But I'm just monday morning quarterbacking.
thank you for the video!!! Moma says you owe her a new coffee table !!! poppa says you owe him a new. recliner!!! it worked great on my truck!!! everything ok now that the fire is out!!! p.s. I want to be a farman when I grow up!!..
Bert R did you even read what I said, I never said you could supercharge a ported 2 stroke, Sloan said a 2 stroke can't be supercharged, wasn't specified what type of 2 stroke
The fuel tank is pressurized by the exhaust which has a higher pulse pressure then the super-charger. If you are running a high flow exhaust pipe you can also use the auxiliary pressure system which will compensate for this lower pipe back-pressure.
My guess is that it just helps it to flow better. Probably does not actually create pressure... just like a strong fan to take the load off the engine.. I could be wrong though.
I've always wondered how this could be anything more than just being a showoff, cause this supercharger will not work on the 3.3 as the forced air pukes out of the orifices the engine already has.
Hey Daniel, thanks for the comment. We've developed and continue to improve our Supercharger systems throughout the last 12 years, and we've found, along with our customers, significant and noticeable gains by using our Superchargers on these small nitro engines. Contrary to what you might have heard, the system actually requires minimal power to drive the Supercharger, which allows for maximum output from the engine. If you want to talk in more detail, call us at 315-451-4440
i understand a lot more than you think. and the thing that you don't understand is that a centrifugal supercharger has a pressure potetial proportional to tip velocity. at this scale the tip velocity isn't very high so the outlet pressure and thus effect on crankcase pressure is minimal, like maybe in the 2psi range. all i'm saying to test it with a dyno, put pressure sensors on the exhaust in many locations and in the crank case and test it rather than just make a video saying sceptics are dumb

just ordered one for my Honda great vid, hope it's vtec compatible!
@Robert Green lmao wtf
383 chevy 😂
*shows how to put a washer on a screw in great detail*
*doesnt show how to remove your flywheel*
^priorites are on point
How do you NOT show the engine running at the end of the video??? C'mon man!!!
Best way to get more power from your nitro engine is to sell it and buy a better one. Better yet, go electric.
+PJMontoya go away
Cause it wont run for a few reasons:

What an amazing way to blow a bunch of unburnt air/fuel mixture out the exhaust port of a 2 stroke engine!!!!!!!

should probably tell the guys mounting turbos onto there snowmobiles and making 200+hp that infact...they just wasted 8 grand.
Victorious victor 8 grand!?!? Wow, that's pretty steep! I wonder, for that price do those kits come with custom tuned pipes to make higher back pressure at peak rpm and prevent the air/fuel charge from blowing through? Why... YES, yes they do!

VTEC owners *heavy breathing*
The offer is on the table for anyone out there even RB Innovations.
I don’t see how this will work on a 2 stroke but I have to admit the idea and looks are really cool. Somebody should post a top speed run with and without the blower and see if it works
Thanks rb. I just installed this kit on my revo 3.3, and can already notice a big difference in power. Great product. A+.
🤣🤣🤣🤣sure you did
Bro's just telling themselves that
It’s a placebo affect 😂😂😂
Freaking SWEET!!! I thought the 3.3 had power. I want to see it with that running and nos. Definitely subscribing.
What are you talking about
this is the best video on getting you super charger on. You do a great job showing how to put it on.
holy shit a r/c charger. what next a hybrid r/c nitro and electric porsche 918?
+g4rr377 RC turbo hahahahha
+g4rr377 Turbo??? With boost of 1psi
+Mr.Sniper I think that'd be cute
User Name hehe remote
Easily amused are you
RC Forced induction is a method of separating cash from the less intelligent hobbyists
I have to agree, Although the idea is very innovative and neat!
Shalaka Booyaka yea,. but how cool is it! :)
Haha so true, some people will buy any old shit 😂
My thoughts exactly!
Yeet
Finally an American who says "charger", not "churger"
I've never heard an American say "churger"
+Frenzy ya definitely thinking of canadians
+dave194315 Guess he is half right... Canada is in North America :P
That's awesome. I wonder if it gives any noticable power
through the carb, how do u compensate for boost as far as fuel goes, if u pressurise the carb inlet u will blow air backwards through the jets if u don't pressurise the fuel supply or float chamber by the same amount wont u?
The fact that they had no foresight of how much of a failure this was is beyond me.
i used to want this bad back then
How do they know if there's any slippage going on?? They should make a cog set up that would be sick especially on the the 5b and 5t's!
can you do a running video what difference the supercharger makes say like a before (without supercharger) and after (with supercharger) its just a suggestion so you may get more orders for it...
good because I have a n. rustler and a few hundred extra bucks but do I need to get an air filter with the nos nozzle additionally?
if the pressure is so high in the tank how can the car run without boos? cant be that simple. have you tried and se if it actually compress any air?
wow. I have been out of the loop WAY too long! I thought I was doing good when I had my modified RC10GT. Very neat.
I have one of those gas rc10gt's... need to get it running again.. was a tough beast.
I am thinking about picking up one of these for an Ofna 1/8 buggy with a .28 engine. I want to run the Ofna 2 speed trans kit with this though. what type of plastic hose are you using for the carburetor
It's very nice of you to tell me that I can go ahead. If you say go ahead one more time I will return all your products to you,
How does it know to upsize the fuel charge with all the extra air to avoid being too lean? Does it matter on these engines? Thanks!
Is that a cooling head or high compression?
Do you have a video of the supercharger running and possibly with a stock engine without a supercharger and how can you prove to use that this makes a difference with the engine.
- Myles
Does anyone know a website to learn all of this? this is pretty much actual car stuff, just with tiny ones.
Why not run higher percent nitro instead?
Will you do another video in your Prototype Lab about converting your standard carb into a blow through carb in order to tune actual forced induction systems ?
If you think about it by compressing the air you are generating heat. Without an intercooler to cool down the condensed charge of air the potentially "gained" power is lost with hotter air.
Pretty cool. I see that it's the most basic of design in the blower kingdom (centrifugal)... For its size- A+
Do these actualy work or are they there for show
So what is the benafit of this supercharger more speed cooler running engine ?? iv been up and down about getting one of these but i wanna know what its gonna benafit being id be spending a good amount of cash

This would just blow unburned fuel mixture thru the exhaust port without a valve as overpressure would never be possible.
would this fit a savge 5.9 as i got 3 gears will this still fit my lump
Have you ever thought of putting the super charger after the carb?? This is how real super chargers work :)
Do they run good on the revo? I’m thinking of doing this?!?!!!!!
how much more power will a supercharger do for a traxxas nitro slash with a 3.3 engine
Chief The Outdors Men -.2 hp
Adam negative .2 horse power, hu doesn't seem like it's worth the money to me
Chief The Outdors Men Any engine that doesn't have valves will not benefit from forced induction. There's nothing to hold pressure.
ok thank you
would your superchargers fit on a losi 454 engine
Supercharger gains vary depending on the engine, exhaust pipe, and Supercharger set up, but Dyno testing that we have done shows results of 15 - 30% gains in horsepower.
The power comes in when you have to buy a new piston because you fried the last one
O yes 10$
all of you posters don't fully understand how case induction/piston port engines work. the mixture is compressed in the crankcase (primary compression), then pushed into the combustion chamber by the piston when it uncovers the transfer ports. ...probably, because 4-stroke nitro owners don´t want to ruin their engines & wallets?
NeNever heard of a four stroke nitro... not this scale
Kyosho made a 4 stroke on road car about 20 years ago, long since discontinued.
Im trying to fit a toyan 4 stroke in a scx2. Recon this would be a nice add on later.
can u run a nos system with a supercharger at the same time?
can i use the EZ start with it? or do you have to buy a pull starter.
Great suggestion, we're working on videos showing the Supercharger running so look out for those in the near future!
Can these superchargers be used on petrol leaf blower engines?
why are u supercharging a 2 Stroke.?
do you guys make one for the k5.9 big block???
Can you give me a link to buy this please?
Boost ranges depending on the application as well as the rpm. Horsepower gains range from 15 - 30 percent from stock.
Both intake and exhaust ports are open at the same time, so there goes your boost.... Nextly more air requires more fuel or at higher RPMs you WILL be running leaner. guessing help pump air but can't build boost. won't it now fuel out..
This wont work on a 2 stroke, but u guys should make one for the toyan 4 stroke
I've ordered one of these blowers for myself, I'll put an electric motor on it and strap it to my head for when I get out of breath climbing the stairs!
what cooling head is that?
Can you put this on kyosho pure ten???
Would of been great to see the thing running with & w/o the supercharger. A "how to" and a "comparison" video. But I'm just monday morning quarterbacking.
Would HAVE been great to see you not type "would of" like a complete braindead moron.
This is a very nice way to induct kids into engineering. Sadly a bit pricey of a hobby tough.
People say the superchargers will blow your engine within a week is that true ?
thank you for the video!!! Moma says you owe her a new coffee table !!! poppa says you owe him a new. recliner!!! it worked great on my truck!!! everything ok now that the fire is out!!! p.s. I want to be a farman when I grow up!!..
@rbinnovations....hi How mutch power do this charger...?? differenz stock and tuned.?? number will be very nice.....
8ball1707 it is almost a scam. you can't supercharge a 2 stroke engine
wrong, you can supercharge a 2 stroke diesel engine. facts m8
Fly Cat 1154 it needs valves for that to work so it wont work on 2stroke nitro/gas with ports
Bert R did you even read what I said, I never said you could supercharge a ported 2 stroke, Sloan said a 2 stroke can't be supercharged, wasn't specified what type of 2 stroke
Fly Cat 1154 ... Really? Common sense would have told you I was talking about these kind of engines. Stop being a brat, kid.
The fuel tank is pressurized by the exhaust which has a higher pulse pressure then the super-charger. If you are running a high flow exhaust pipe you can also use the auxiliary pressure system which will compensate for this lower pipe back-pressure.
Do u guys have cooling upgrades for an electric rc?thanks.

This is the next best thing to NASA!
does it need a filter
Did he used a rubberband as a belt???
Hondas are straight gas it has oil onboard like normal. The stihl is oil mix like a 2stroke , it doesnt have oil onboard so like 5lbs less weight
This fit to backdraft 3.5 redcat ?
Does this really work? Or would I be better off replacing my 3.3 with a .30VG?
I've always wondered how this could be anything more than just being a showoff, cause this supercharger will not work on the 3.3 as the forced air pukes out of the orifices the engine already has.
Yes, you can simply plug your nitrous directly into the auxiliary port or into your air filter.
can anyone tell me what's his engine? i love it
3.3 traxxas engine I think

Interesting is that there is not ONE SINGLE VIDEO on UA-cam showing any car running with one supercharger. if there is, please post the name here.
were do you buy this at???
Do u do them for xtm mammouth mt
does it make any whine
Will this fit my red cat volcano s30 ?
i remember this i wanted so bad when i saw it😂😂😂😂
wow!!! supercharger before the carb??
Yes, our 10541 will work on a Traxxas 3.3 4tech but chassis modifications will be required.
will this fit a vertex .21 engine?
no airfilter?
i have a kyosho ferrari 2.5 cm3
does it fits in?
how much boost do you make?
Why wasn't a second zip tie installed?
You can modify your filter to inject the nitrous or purchase one of our filters with the nitrous nozzle built in.
i understand a lot more than you think. and the thing that you don't understand is that a centrifugal supercharger has a pressure potetial proportional to tip velocity. at this scale the tip velocity isn't very high so the outlet pressure and thus effect on crankcase pressure is minimal, like maybe in the 2psi range. all i'm saying to test it with a dyno, put pressure sensors on the exhaust in many locations and in the crank case and test it rather than just make a video saying sceptics are dumb
I wish sticking a blower on my 302 was that easy. . .
Can i install this on a nanda nr-tt ?
Can these go on any engine
this is ridiculous but freaking awesome!
