Great video Hugh! Vs Silverlink, LO is a huuuge improvement and has revitalised the network! New format works well, look forward to more of these video :D
Im very local to the goblin and North London line and i remember all those closures of the goblin line 7 years ago it was so annoying but electrification of the goblin line was definitely a good decision anyway great video Hugh 👍
I really enjoyed your VO video. It makes it easier for me to concentrate on the content of what is being said. One suggestion, though, would be to animate the maps in some way to highlight the stations you are referring to. Keep up the great work!
Alstom who built the Class 710 4-Car and 5-Car units for London Overground could manufacture more Class 710s including few extra Class 710/1s for the Lea Valley Lines and to operate them as 4-Car and 8-Car. Few extra Class 710/2s for the Gospel Oak-Barking Line and Euston-Watford DC Line and maybe few extra Class 710/3s for the Euston-Watford DC Line and North London Line.
10:55 its soo funny you should have this random footage of battersea park because when this video first started i literally was thinking about this rare service that i travelled on a couple times in real life. I always look at the platforms there when playing train sim wishing there could be drivable service. Wonder why they stopped it in real life though
I lived in Barking for over 20 years now, before that I live in Hackney. I rememberd taking sliver link train from Stratford to Hackney centre back in 2003 -2005 to go to college the sliver link was very on reliable service. We have to wait for so long for the train to come.
I normally decide while I'm filming videos whether they're better being live action with to camera explanations, live action with voiceover (possibly with a bit of talking to camera to add a bit of depth, plain film with voiceover or sometimes just film with background music and explanatory captions. Jago Hazzard has made a great career with only voiceovers in all of his videos.
As London Overground has new Class 710 Aventra trains built by Alstom (formerly Bombardier). I do think that Alstom could manufacture more Class 710s. Including extra Class 710/3s 5-Car for the Euston-Watford Junction and North London Line. Few extra Class 710/2s 4-Car for the Gospel Oak-Barking line as the Barking Riverside section is completed. And extra Class 710/1s 4-Car for the Lea Valley Lines and to introduce 8-Car services to Chingford, Cheshunt and Enfield Town and 1 4-Car Class 710/1 on the Romford-Upminster line.
The Class 710 order already included additional units for the Riverside extension. I doubt there will be more 710s built - especially as ‘spare’ 720s are available.
Any video that starts with "So" is pretty suspect in my book 😉, but this was very well done. The Overground brand was actually launched in 2006, but didn't "go live" until late 2007. Nice to be reminded of the proto-Overground branding of O.N. I remember seeing the signage at Twickenham station in 2003-04 and a few other ones as well. It makes sense for the Overground lines to be given their own identities, but the decision to finally implement it makes me think that there's an unconscious admission that no more NR lines will come under the auspices of TfL.
Yes, I enjoyed the documentary style. Thank you.

Coincidence that Silverlink has been brought up in both of your new videos
yeah it is a coincidence lol ~Hugh
@@thetflthree Genuinely is as well!!! 😅
That mock LO livery on 465 is utterly ghastly!
It's amazing how some liveries look great on some units are horrific on others

That London Overground Class 465 is broken 😂 great video, did like the voicer over history
Honestly, understanding all this together makes me appreciate the London Overground line even more!
Great video! Keep up the voice overs, was an enjoyable and informative watch 👍🏼
Really great video - excellent way for a person with limited historical knowledge to understand the history of the Overground network we see today....
Loved the new format; concise, informative and interesting with relevant video footage. Yes please to more like this 👍

Brilliant and fantastico.
7:17 CLASS 315 MENTIONED WOOOOOO
Seeing a London Overground Livery on a Class 465 was something I did not need to see

Hugh how did you make that overground and 465 picture. I want to do that to the 700

By the way London northwestern railway doesn’t exist
Yes it does
Great video but please don't say "Goblin Line". "Goblin" stands for Gospel Oak Barking Line so you're basically saying "line" twice.
I bet he says PIN number too. What a bastard 😆
than you mean just saying Goblin not saying the word "Line"
Did him saying ‘Goblin Line’ kill you?
