A lot has happened. Updates have been slow because my camera is broken, which leads to why all my footage and photos are from my phone. My OK EMM horse got a name, Kiwi. She was doing AMAZING, and really coming along. All of this footage shows that, how she was starting to relax and give undersaddle and turn into a calm girl. Then I left town for a weekend... things changed. The next video will update you on that...

This feels so good to know that you went through a regression....my OK filly has been in a deep 2 week regression that I’m JUST starting to get a handle on. It’s hard to remember sometimes that it will get better.

Ugh that sucks that her training went so far backwards! I’m sure your be right back there in no time though! I can’t join the virtual liberty clinic but I unfortunately don’t have a horse to use that frequently but I would love to another time, your a very talented and knowledgeable trainer and it would be incredible to gain some insight from you! ☺️💗

oo, I love the name Kiwi!! that is sad that she is going backwards in training, I've been training my new personal mustang, and he keeps learning! I hope Kiwi will start getting more confident soon!

She is so soft and relaxed. I’m sure it won’t take much time to regain what was lost.

So sorry to hear about having set backs with this mare. Facinating to watch how each Mustang has their own set of learning levels! Adjusting your training to work with each one will definitely give you the edge in training horses in general. To be able to "read" each horse to recognize when things are "clicking" is the secret to any trainers success! Looking forward to learning and watching you work thru the "fall back" issues!

Ugh that sucks! I have a young horse right now he is 3 and me and him are going up and down, it’s hard because I just wanna do the fun stuff but I can’t. I really want to join the group but I don’t have the time right now and I don’t think he is ready for that.

Does that mean you have to start all over with groundwork from the beginning?
You should get a PIVO it's a mount for your phone and then it tracks either you or your horse while you are riding. It's a bit pricey but it works amazingly for recording riding videos!
I think some regression can be normal at first they are good soldiers doing what you want, then they become confident and ask questions which looks like regression. In this case I can’t help wonder if Kiwis trust was in Sam and when Sam left those days it threw off the trust. What if in the wild your leader abandoned you? Not trying to make you feel bad Sam. Not at all. Imagining from the horses point of view. You’ll get her back.

We aren't in the KY EMM! We are in the OK EMM. Updates have been constant on FB and IG. Just posted a video on her today though!

Just looked up all of the symptoms, or at least a list of about 15, she doesn't have any of those
Why does the guy keep chasing her with the flag even though she was cantering? My trainer talks a lot about releasing after I receive the desired response so I was a little confused. No hate I'm just really interested in other people's training techniques. I love learning!
Cause he wanted her to keep cantering after a vouple rounds when she was still cantering her released
i'm so sorry this happened. I have a real problem trusting anyone with my animals and this is exactly why. Dogs and horses are way too smart for stupid people.
