I am planning on participating next year in the younger division, but this year I am going to buy one that is partly trained (one of the saddle-broke ones)! Hope to see you August 24th!
I won’t be competing this year but if you want pointers feel free to reach out! I probably will be at least in the area if I don’t end up attending.
Also just PS, really get to know the trainers and their methods before choosing to buy any of the horses in any training competition. There’s a lot of variety of trainers and your techniques/program isn’t always what the trainers are training to. There’s always people that I would never let handle one of my horses and there’s people who are welcome to ride with me anytime. Also, keep in mind all these shows are all about making the horse look good, and the horse in the arena isn’t always the same behind the scenes. Don’t judge the horse on the ribbons.
