I agree that your video style serves a market that is very different than others. There is no shortage of tourism-type videos with plenty of drone shots and fancy editing. And there's nothing wrong with those of course. But your style is perfect for anyone that wants to see an example of what everyday life would be like living in Thailand. Everyone's experience would be different of course, but it serves as a good example. To me, that is more interesting as everyday stuff is what people are going to be doing most of the time, also including your occasional travel/vacation videos too. That's fantastic too that you've learned so much of the Thai language, which I am sure really enriches your experience there.
I truly enjoy 85 percent of the videos you make. If I am not interested in what you are doing, I have the option of turning off the video. I don't understand why people think that you are responsible for living your life the same way they live theirs. I enjoy reliving my experiences in Thailand through you. Thank you for sharing your life with us.

Really enjoy your videos. Seeing all the places you visit and learning about the restaurants, shopping centers, beaches etc all over Thailand. I've been to Thailand 5 times and love Koh Samui. During this winter in New Zealand I'm going to come and stay in Hua Hin for two months. I travel on the APEC business travel card that will allow me to stay up to 3 months in Thailand visa free. I also follow Thai girl Gift and Foreigner Joe. Looks like they are having a great time in Europe. Please don't listen to all those negative people in your comments section. Like you always say, No Time To Be Sad. Thanks again for all the work you put into your Wechat channel.

Chuck I watch your videos because they are day to day life. They helped us bring a family of 4 to Thailand for two different long stays. We're back in the US caring for health issues and family issues. Hopefully we will be back for good someday. I like that you show or talk about the good, but are honest about the frustration at times. We have experienced both ourselves yet I like you feel like the quality of life is much better, simpler, and more relaxed than the states. We have many great Thai friends . We stay mostly in Ubon Ratchathani when we are there. Last time we came for a year on a volunteer visa and towards the end of our stay we went to Chiang Mai and my 14 yr old daughter and I went to find some breakfast and we found a nice looking place. My daughter said there's too many white people in there let's go somewhere else😂.

Hey Chuck, I check your channel almost every day because it is a "Life Saga". There are a few others I catch as well. I am a privacy freak. But, I'd never get up in somebody's face and tell them they should video less. Maybe this guy that approached you is a "secret agent man" danga-da danga-da danga-da (like the 60's song) haha.
Your staying at my favorite hotel in Udon Thani. I was sad when they shutdown during covid after just being opened for a short while.

I know it's no longer the American way or the way of the West but Thais' like me still take care of family and want to see our parents grandparents etc happy and healthy. For the microphone you might try one that is a lavalier mic and that connects from a wire to a little tiny box that sits in your pocket then just clap your hands twice and you can use that to sync the signal to your camera and then you just load your audio into your video editor it works pretty well and it's pretty full proof

I wouldn’t worry about the negative comments…. Like you, I travel a lot. I am semi-retired after working in London and Singapore for almost 25 years. There are always people trying to take you down, regardless of your situation…. Just be grateful it’s not your fiends and family and continue enjoying what you do and sharing your experiences. I watch some UA-cam channels here in Thailand. And I have gone to 2 meet and greets. In going to meet, the UA-camrs only spoke to other UA-camrs, totally ignoring the many people who watch their channels. They had very interest in anything anyone other than a fellow Tuber had to say. It was the most narcissistic thing to watch as they patted each other's ego.
I don't do the UA-cam thing looking for attention.
@notime2bsad I know you don't. You are probably the most normal (what I can relate to as normal) of them all. Along with a few others. But I, and others who attended, were offended by their actions.
@@roberthaas2857 actually a lot of the reason I have already left an area before the video comes out is because we get people in the area who want to meet up or show their restaurant or hotel etc. some people get really offended if you don't go out of the way to meet them. It would be difficult to explain unless you were the UA-camr that people demanded so much of your time. It is fun to meet people but not always have time.
@notime2bsad I do understand completely. But when a UA-camr puts out a time and location for the subscribers to meet and greet, and then spends the entire time huddled with other Tubers, ignoring the ones they invited to meet, that's offensive.
