Why did people get mad about your vlogs? Nothing bad. All good stuff. It's been a long time since I've been to Thailand. I'm enjoying your vids. All from a cool prospective. Keep doing what you're doing.
HI Wayne another really helpful vlog. I've really been enjoying these and so helpful keeping it real and showing what it's all like for others to know what to expect if visiting. Your so nice to people and you spread happiness. Enjoy your time cant wait to see your new sky lab 😂. Take it easy
Udon's actually quite a bit bigger than the area around the train station. There's a really big lake with huge rubber ducks on it, which is a popular picnic spot, for instance.. There's also a bit of a shopping area south of the train station. The bike would be quite useful for just exploring the town. I walked around myself, but it would have been easier with a bike I imagine.
Sure, most places are always bigger than what you see. The lakes looked ok. It would be easy to walk in and around the town, I like that part of Udon. Cheers.
Udon Thani looking nice... Beautiful skies. Great stroll Wayne. Look after yourself. Looking forward to the next vlog. Take it easy man, take it easy 👍🏼
I like your Videos . I have lived in Udon Thani for Nine Months and I believe you have said "Udon Thani" more times in this 30 minute video that I have said the name in 9 months, haha.
Wayne... You wondered about Kalasin. It isn't far from U.T. About 40,000 people. I was there over ten years ago. ( Waiting gor my bar girlfriend's dad to die. Think he is still dying). Anyway, i probably was the only farang in town. Many curious, but polite stares. Interestingly, one of the best dinosaur museums is nearby in the state park. You might google it. Also, ask the girls there if they have a dying dad. Could be fun.
Great vlogs mate, i have been in Udon and liked it a lot. Many foreigners live there. I am dutch and lived over 40 years in Australia, now i am retired and live in Sentul City Bogor, my wife is Indonesian. Stay safe mate, good work, cheers, Wolter

Wayne, how about a vlog of you taking the bus from Udon Thani to Rayong? That is a full days worth of travel right there. You'd be a road warrior after that one.
Fun facts for this little town. During the Vietnam War the Airport, (then known as Udorn Royal Thai Air Base) was where US fighter planes launched from for missions into Vietnam. Also in 2006, 400 skydivers formed the world’s largest freefall formation with 400 skydivers in the skies over Udon Thani.. As usual Wayne, nice vlog.
Your treatment in your Vlogs is always light hearted and kind Wayne. Hard to avoid the unstable sometimes. No worries Mate! Thanks for this one. Udon Thani has some amazing natural wonders as you get out of the city and head east. I always thought that Udon had a similar feel to Chiang Mai on a smaller scale. Thanks for bring us along!
retired in 2005 - couldn't afford a comfy retirement in Hawaii so our family of three relocated to Udon. My wife from Isan, and our then two year old. Was even hard to find a nice coffee back then. Its changed so much since - for the better. Wayne nice job for a three day visit. Much more to enjoy if you get another chance. Great restaurants, good gyms, hotels, super nice locals, and the airport to get you anywhere!
Don't know if your viewers would be interested but read that Udon is famous for it's silk weaving. Am sure that the skill and patterns that they make would be interesting. Stay safe man.
That's interesting, i learned a bit about Thai silk and how it eventually made the world market after WWII when I visited the Jim Thompson House in Bangkok.
Seems to be a decent functional country market town, Many people working in the rural areas too. It’s good to sus out these small places , decent food prices too .My GF lives near Khon Kaen and says there is more up there. A big dam and lake etc. bar area too.will be difficult to match Kanchanaburi. The Skylab looks cool.
It's a good city, perfect for the chilled life. Not much going on here though. I haven't got the same feeling here as Kanchanaburi, but it's early days. Cheers mate.
Khon Kaen seems to be right in the middle somewhere between Udon Thani and Bangkok? or maybe Chiang Mai is a better example? I've watched a few vlogs on Khon Kaen and it looks really nice.
Opposite that Tuk Tuk shop there is a morning market along and around the canal where you see some interesting local fruita nd veg. One of them is the custard apple - delicious.
If you stay a few days and have a scooter then 1 hr East of Udon is Ban Chiang a national museum that King 9 visited. Worth a visit and only 40 to 60 min away.
